I wouldn’t give him a one star but that’s the least one I can give. I wouldn’t go back to him if he was the only Pulmonologist in the world!! He has no care or compassion and has a smart mouth. Talked down to my husband like he was so stupid. Hey we don’t have to pay someone to allow them to talk to us like we’re so beneath him. I love Carilion Hospital but this man doesn’t belong there and I feel sorry for the elderly people that think they have no choice but to see him. If your looking for a doctor that’s cares and wants to help, then you might look somewhere else. I will say his nurse was wonderful…..

I presume Dr. Leslie’s medical skills are appropriate, but his personal skills leave much to be desired. In synch with a previous review, “Heaven forbid if you ask questions.” Dr. Leslie’s ego and arrogance take umbrage if you ask a simple question, which he then takes as a personal assault. And which he then blows all out of proportion. In addition, he is inconsistent in what he tells his patient from one occasion to the next. So don’t count on what plans he makes today, because when the time comes he may make a complete turnaround and blame you for the misunderstanding. Only dealt with one office staff by phone, and she had difficulty with reality.

Very clear in explaining problems and decisive in treatment.

Dr Leslie is very rude bullying to his patients. he is unprofessional how he talks to his patients he makes you do these stupid breathing charts that give no results and if you do something wrong he bully’s you over it

Doctor Leslie seen me March 10,2021 and told me not to go back to work. So I tried to get on disability so I would have money to pay my bills he wouldn't fill the papers out so I'm not on disability and been off work I tried calling to get him to write me a doctors note so I could go back to work I left messages on the answering machine saying I need to go back to work full duty no restrictions but haven't heard nothing it's not going to be long before I run out of time and out of a job and no money to pay bills If I was anybody I would not go to Dr. Leslie If I know this was going to happen I wouldn't of listened to him and stayed at work Doctor Leslie seen me March 10,2021 and told me not to go back to work. This doctor was like Jekyll and Hyde. On the first visit he was sweet as pie. Then we had to miss an appointment and when we went back, he was the most rude and unpleasant excuse of a professional that I have ever encountered. Even some of the hospital staff recommended that we go to Roanoke for a pulmonologist. I wish I had.

Really nice, caring doctor. Treats you as if he really cares. His kind is a fast dying 'breed.' Like Dr. Leslie, very much!!

Heaven forbid if you ask questions to this textbook narcissistic jerk. He may be good, who knows? I couldn't get past him insulting me calling me "mouth" and "do you ever shut up?" Had a disease for almost 20 years and he wanted to run several tests I have had already done in the past that were not necessary except for his mortgage payment needs. Because HE wasn't the one to diagnose me, and my refusing the ridiculous amounts of tests, he questioned the doctors I had seen, and tests that I had which confirmed my diagnosis saying"How do you know for sure?" Really? All I needed was a pulmonologist since I am new to this area for prescription for medicines that worked. Find someone else unless you are the type to answer "Yes master" and not question anything out of this a-hole's mouth

Very friendly and professional. A very good common sense doctor who doesn't make you feel rushed.

I'm a Dr. Leslie patient. I went to him with shortness of breath, chest pain and dizziness. I had been hospitalized for these symptoms. He asked for one week to compile my records and it he doesn't call me that I was to call him. One week passed and I received no call. I called, receptionist forwarded me to Dr. Leslie's nurse, she put me on hold. When she came back she said " Dr. Leslie said your by-pap machine was fine and we will see you in a year. " I was stunned. She hung up with no suggestion of breathing problems. I have since been another pulmonologist and my diagnosis is COPD. Be careful.

Bed side manners are terrible. My father had to reschedule appointments due to not being able to get off work and was treated very disrespectful because of that. He isn’t a very organized doctor either. Would not recommend him.

Dr. Leslie,himself,is an outstanding doctor but there are times,when you need a prescription, it is a pain in the backside to get his staff to call your insurance to get it pre-authorized for you and I would hate for my dad to have to leave and go to another doctor like Dr. Leslie due to the fact that his nurse is apparently incompetent in her duties.

Dr Leslie is by far the Best Pulmonoligist i've ever seen. I've had asthma for about 8 years and only since i've been seeing him for the last year and a half is it Finally under control and i can live a normal life. He listens to your concerns and you never feel rushed. He tells you when he's concerned and if you listen to him He may just save your life. I would give him 5 stars and i always recommend him to anyone needing help in this area. Dr Leslie is by far the Best Pulmonoligist i've ever seen.
