Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also referred to as rehabilitation medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with physical disabilities. For diagnosis and evaluation, a physiatrist may include the techniques of electromyography to supplement the standard history, physical, x-ray and laboratory examinations. The physiatrist has expertise in the appropriate use of therapeutic exercise, prosthetics (artificial limbs), orthotics and mechanical and electrical devices.

The visit to Dr. Lattin exceeded my expectations. I am a heavier person and was expecting a little bid of a feeling of condescension but I NEVER felt anything but cared for during my visits with him. From the receptionists to the nurse that took my stats, I felt genuinely cared for and listened to. He listened to my concerns and responded with answers that made sense. He explained what was going on, different treatment options and accepted my choices. I definitely would go back to Dr. Lattin in the future and would recommend him to anyone who is having an issue with pain.
