I honestly felt like all the staff, including the doctor, acted like they were taking care of a family member. I'm thankful for his bedside manner and also sending me for an MRI because whatever is wrong with my knee is extremely painful and he did not solely go by the XRAY. I had surgery on my back on 7/7/2021 by Dr. Gee and that's when I started losing my ability to "NOT BUCKLE" down. I'm looking forward to getting the MRI appointment as I need it done before the end of December. Thanks Dr Hendrick for FORGETTING to set my broken wrist as we had discussed, me asking first for you to do that and you agreeing, and then NOT DOING IT. He admitted a simple, clean break. Open reduction was your idea. Meaning SURGERY. Closed was mine. HE SENT ME HOME IN ACE BANDAGES.. Therefore, my wrist has healed painfully crooked. All surgeons want to do is CUT. We discussed, and you insinuated doing a closed fracture reduction. Local anesthesia. We talked about it. I joked I'd try not scream too loud. You said it would take local anesthesia. You were too insulted I'd not agree to open surgery done by YOU. Since I live in Valdosta alone, I'd have had to return to Louisville to friends to babysit me for weeks, and also have it done by the local, best in the world hand surgeons there. After your ego related neglect, I may be forced to have the Louisville Ky specialists do a much more complex correction when weather warms up. Even if your deductible from insurance is paid, if you require surgery, they want the money up front. I waited months to get my deductible down, then found that out. You are treated as just another patient, not a person. The surgeon is unfriendly, does not care if your in pain, wants to prescribe the most expensive brace, for you to wear for a month even if he knows you need surgery, just to make sure they Tried everything first. No pain medicine at all before surgery no matter how long it takes to get it done. There is no kind of doctor/patient relationship. The secretaries are there just to work. Nothing else.Make you feel like you are a problem they have to deal with. Thank goodness Dr.Bailey in the pain clinic is not that way. My first visit to VOA, and have to say overall it was very pleasant. I saw Dr. Oscar Aguero, and found him to be very good, and had a great bedside manner.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Stiefel! I am only 29 and I have had to have very extensive surgeries on both knees for multiple dislocations. He took the time to explain to me every single detail about my injury and every option I had. It’s hard to find a doctor who actually takes time and listens. Dr. Stiefel addressed every concern and put my mind at ease. My surgeries went great and I haven’t had any issues with my knees since. He solved my issue of knee dislocations that I had for 10 years. After my surgeries I received the best care with physical therapy at VOA. They were so encouraging and took such great care of me to make sure I recovered well. I had broken my thumb and in the healing process it had locked up. So then there it is a “trigger” thumb. So ended up having surgery by Dr. Steifel. And you can barely tell where the surgery was. He is the BEST!!! I really recommend this place for all your bone issues and ask for Dr. Steifel.

He's a really sweet, funny gentleman and his assistant is lovely with the most gorgeous smile. The ladies that greet you upon arrival are so incredibly wonderful, patient, attentive and helpful, I was so grateful for their kindness. I'm always in and out in under 5 mins. Thank you ever so much.

We love Dr. Kendrick, I was in a lot of pain and he saw me without an appointment. I was seeing quickly and he made sure I had the proper treatment. Both my husband and I have had surgery by Dr. Kendrick Would absolutely recommend him.

Dr. kendricks performed surgury on my right shoulder in 2016. He ended up making my shoulder worse than it should havr brrn. I had what is called a Linebacker break and he was suppose to repair it. The repair did not work. I am now searching for another doctor that repair my shoulder. I am tired of being limited by this problem.

So Dr. Gee diagnosed me with 2 bulging discs in my back and 1 in my neck. He said the next step was to see pain management so he referred me to see Dr. Oyowe. I have seen Dr. O 3 times and this will be the last time. On the first visit he told me that I had 1 possible "bulging disc" in my back but was not enough to cause pain and that I did not have a bulging disc in my neck. So he thought maybe a steroid shot would help. It did not help. On the second visit he wanted me to try a medicine so I said okay, later on to find out that my insurance will not pay for it and it could cause serotonin syndrome with the other medications I'm on. I definitely was not given all necessary information with this medication. On this last visit today he asked why I did not take the medicine and I told him that I was scared and that I could not pay for it because my insurance does not cover it. I did not have enough money with it being the holidays. He says to me "I am 100% positive you will not get serotonin syndrome". This doctor has no idea how my body will react with an additional medication. So he says "If you don't want to take the medicine I gave you there is nothing more I can do for you". I asked him what my other options were and he said "surgery..." so I said "If you said that there was nothing wrong with me then why would you suggest surgery?" This doctor shrugged his shoulders and said "there is nothing more I can do for you, maybe you should get a second opinion". Never in my life have I dealt with a medical physician that said there was nothing wrong with me then suggest surgery and that they could not do anything for me. This place is absolutely terrible! Although I have switched doctors, I still get called from this place about why I have not come back to see them! Valdosta orthopedic, this is exactly why I do not come see you! This is exactly why I switched to a different doctor! You people are terrible at your job, as are your doctor's! Suffering with neck, back and shoulder pain for 2 weeks. Out of work for all last week. Spent small fortune with three different doctors medications, muscle relaxers ext. just to get seen by Valdosta orthopedic associates. Show up for 8 am appointment with x rays in hand hoping to find actual cause of pain. Was told that I had to pay 200 upfront before I could be seen. I tried to explain the situation and the fact that I literally have 50 in the bank to take care of kids and wife till payday. Explained in excruciating pain and would pay if they could just bill it to me. No matter how I asked or plead. I was told they did not care for patients with out up front collection of copay. I asked so I’m expected to just deal with it till I have 200 dollars. They said yes we can reschedule when you have the money. These aren’t physicians, their no more then over priced car salesmen it’s not about what good they could do for their fellow man or how they could work with their patience it’s about how much they can put in their pockets. Don’t get me wrong they are entitled to what the can earn ethically for their skill. On Dec 23 2019 I fell and fractured my left hip. I was rushed to South GA Med Center hospital. Dr Kendrick did my surgery later that day. (2 screws and a rod in my left hip and leg bone) They had me up and walking the next day. It was very painful but I did it every day for 5 days while in hospital. I asked Dr. Kendrick how long for recovery he said 6 months to 1 year. Well I went back home to FL where I live and with physical therapy and the great surgery done by Dr. Kendrick I am 2 months and a few weeks going back to work. I need to share some of my experiences at VOA. Over the years I've been a little to ruff on my body and with that being said, the staff and doctors of VOA have been more than great. I've had a couple of compression fractures of my spine, I've had shoulder surgery, I have a new hip, and recently had a spinal stimulator implanted. Over the past 18 years or so, VOA took care of all these problems, along with all my other little mishaps in life. Drs. Aguero, Gee, Kindrick, Sanderlin, Lane and Bailey have all had an opportunity to meet and work on me. They've all treated me with respect and most of all, they've listened. I've been under pain management care for almost 15 years and recently changed pain management doctors to Dr. Bailey. I credit Drs. Lane and Bailey with saving my life. I had just about given up because of chronic pain that had been misdiagnosed for 15 years. Unlike many other doctors, they listened. I now have an optimistic outlook on life again, thanks to them. The story is complex and deep, and they were around doctors number 40 and 41 that I've seen for my problem. I could go on and on, but I won't. I am so no pleased with them, Dr. Goss was a good doctor and did very good on my knee surgery. I am now having trouble with right knee. I have been in his office a couple of time about my right knee and I have been unable to keep my appt. because of transportation. I have a balance because of missed appt. I live here in Tifton and can't pay my balance I off completely only half and not over the phone only in person,but I have to pay before my appt can be made.I ask if I can pay half I was told no and if I can't pay over the phone I need to come in and pay it. Had an appointment at 9:45. At 10:50 I asked receptionist about my appointment and was told the doctor was running a few minutes behind. I asked if I needed to reschedule new appointment and was told it would only be a few minutes. At 11:25 I was told bt surgical nurse there was one procedure still scheduled ahead of me and wouwould be at least 20 more minutes before procedure. I ended up leaving and told them I would have to reconsider if I wanted to reschedule appointment for an epidural. I was told to bring a driver with me since the anesthesia would make me drowsy. However, the nurse informed me that I would only have the area numbed at point where needle inserted for epidural. My wife had been sick with flu but came with me to drive me home. Really bad experience. At least two workers were uunprofessional. I am considering seeing a different orthopedic practice for lower back pain. I am very pleased with Dr. Lane and his stsff. Dr. Lane will go over and beyond to try to help you feel better. He cares as well as his staff, everyone is pleasant and very helpful. I am blessed to have Dr. Lane as my Dr.

Dr.Stiefel did my dad's surgery on both knees. He was super about making sure that everything went well and he wasn't in any pain. My dad hasnt been able to stand straight up for years .now after 6 weeks of recovery he not only stands straight up he's almost an inch taller

Dr. Cowart and his staff are fabulous. He is so patient, knowledgeable and takes the time to explains things in an understandable manner. This is our 2nd time having to see him as a walk-in patient and have been happy both times. I highly recommend Dr. Cowart. ????

I was very upset when I called and asked if there were any appointments available that same day and was told to come to walk in to be seen. I went on my lunch break and sat for close to 30 mins for them to call me up to the front desk to tell me they could not see me because they were booked.

Dr. Clarke and his staff are worthless. My seven year old son has a severely fractured leg in two locations, and when x-rays were conducted at follow-up, Dr. Clarke said “...bones not alleigning like they should” and that he would go ahead and cast the leg and just “mash on the cast” to mold the bones straight!!!! What?!! And of course stated that my son would feel a slight bit of “discomfort”.....well, I have the video footage of my son screaming and crying hysterically from the pain of the Dr pressing on his broken bones. When I asked if they could give him anything for the pain Dr Clarke stated that “no, they weren’t a pharmacy”. They also refused to clean the area before casting....sanitation and cleanliness is apparently not important to them. The billing department is a joke! Because I live out of state, they want to charge me random amounts of cash for copies of paperwork. They say they won’t charge if sending to my attorney, but two months have gone by and my attorney has no paperwork from them. Surprise!
