Dr. John Jamoulis Jameson

Horrible experience. Had sinus surgery and it fixed nothing. After healing I still had horrible symptoms. I left crying from follow up. He said there was nothing wrong with my sinuses when i clearly still had bad symptoms.

I am sure Dr Jameson is very competent professionally but he cannot seem to stop himself from interrupting what you are saying--over and over and over again. Abrupt I-am-the-doctor-and-I-know better-than-you sort of attitude, seemingly uninterested in the person in front of him, somewhat strange even, as he stands there at his machine saying out loud what he is writing about you. I refer to him in private as Dr Spaceshot. I have learned to talk back to him--as "Would you let me finish please." When I first met with Dr. Jameson, I had a deviated septum on both sides. Before going right to surgery, Dr. Jameson tried a turbinate reduction surgery. Ultimately, we had to go with septum surgery. I am so happy I decided to go with it. Dr. Jameson has always been extremely professional with me and has shown that he cares for his patients. He didn't push for surgery right away, which showed his care for the patients. When we did go with surgery, the hospital staff at Mt. Auburn was extremely nice and caring. I was stressed the day of the surgery and both Dr. Jameson and his staff made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone that is suffering from a deviated septum.

No bad experience with the Doctor himself because the receptionist who was setting up the appointment was unorganized, unprofessional, and rude... hanging up the phone call by herself before providing the necessary information. Would not recommend.

I originally went to Dr. Jameson at the recommendation of my PCP due to a sinus issue. Then, I learned I had a worse than average deviated septum. Dr. Jameson was very reassuring that it could be fixed and told me I had the option of getting a septoplasty. A couple of months later, I had my surgery. I was incredibly nervous, as this was my first ever surgery. Right before surgery, he was collected and reassuring. He did a fabulous job. I felt fine after 4-ish days. Over the next few weeks post-op, I had a couple of follow-up appointments and was able to ask questions. Now, my quality of life is so much better. I can finally breathe - it's like I tried on a new nose at the store and never took it off! Working out is a dream and I'm re-training myself to breathe through my nose, rather than my mouth. I'm so thankful Dr. Jameson made me aware of my deviated septum because I didn't realize how much it impacted my life all of these years. Yay!

I would recommend Dr. Jameson. He is very knowledgeable, thorough in his initial exam, gives understandable explanations, and provides options for treatment. My surgical outcome was excellent. He is also very personable. It was easy to get appointments.

I had a blockage in my ear canal and could not hear at all (never use a q-tip). In five minutes Dr. Jameson vacuumed everything out and I could hear again. Modern medicine is a miracle.

Dr. Jameson performed a radical right neck dissection to treat cancer 25 years ago and the excellence of his technique has been mentioned many times by physicians and surgeons I have seen over the years. His care before, during, and after was informative and caring. I highly recommend Dr. J!

Faced with having difficult sinus surgery, the trust I felt with Dr. Jameson was immeasurable. He presented calm, straight-forward explanations of the surgery and healing process. Post-surgery I breathe freely, and sleep soundly. I highly recommend Dr. Jameson!

Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jameson, his staff or my two septorhinoplasty procedures at Mount Auburn Hospital. He restored my breathing and was able to make my nose much straighter. It will never be perfect, unless I have a complete anatomical disassemblement of my nose which I am not going to do. But I am so much happier with the appearance of my nose and the quality of life. No more headaches, sinus infections or pain in my face. My breathing is perfect now, before I could not breathe thru my nose at all. My nose no longer runs either which he said no amount of surgery can fix rhinitis, but he somehow fixed mine! I used to use a box of tissues a day and now don't. He is so sweet, easy to talk to and so educated on his specialty. His staff has always been a pleasure to deal with. Polite, personal and professional. Hard to find staff like that today! He did both surgeries at MAH. Staff was amazing. I had no pain and no infection. I had a very complicated case and it was challenging to work on. I researched doctors for a while before having this done and I am so glad I chose Dr. Jameson. He made having surgery a walk in the park. Thank you!! I had a crazy bad ear infection. I booked the slot with a helpful gent from the Doc's office. Showed up and I was whisked away into the Doc's presence with nary a wait (ok, a wait of 2 minutes which I spent catching my breath since of course I had decided to test my physical condition and taken the stairs instead of the elevator to the office) Bedside manner wise, Dr. Jameson was superb. Professional, courteous and made me feel at immediate ease. He carefully listened as I narrated the history. Asked what I thought were very relevant questions and made notes. He answered all my questions (and yes I like to know exactly what's going on and the mechanism behind the Weber test which was done). He then methodically listed out what antibiotics he was going to prescribe and why. He also listed out next steps and led me to the front desk where the pleasant duo (a lass and a gent) made further arrangements for a follow-up. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I've been seeing doctor Jameson for some time now and every visit is amazing! I usually see the doctor right away and he is so professional and very helpful he has helped me with multiple complications I have had. I can finally breathe so much better !

My experience with the doctor was amazing. He was attentive and informative to my current ear problems I was having. I have been seeing Dr. Jameson for several years, not only has he made it possible for me to fly, (I origionally went to see him when my eardrums burst on a flight) he has cured me of vertigo and removed a mole on my face so perfectly that I have a hard time finding the scar. I highly recommend Dr. Jameson (and have) to anyone! I trust him and his diagnosis 100%.

The best doctor for noses better then mass general ..staff is fantastic been seeing him for over 10 years and honestly there all great people always working with you for you . Gave me a better life

I've never written a review for anything in my life but am so outraged by my experience with Dr. Jameson that I feel compelled to share my experience. Dr. Jameson was completely dismissive of my concerns and literally, actually, pulled up Wikipedia right in front of me to look up treatments. Not a medical journal or Medscape -- WIKIPEDIA. What a joke. A complete waste of time and money.

I would strongly advise you seek out other professionals for your surgery. This doctor was incredibly irresponsible when treating me. It ended up with no real services rendered, which I needed and me spending hundreds of dollars while he refused to accept responsibility for his actions, while hiding behind corporate policy. You'll be better served elsewhere.

Beware of this doctor! He comes across as a sadistic person with mood swings. I have sinus infection- I had it before, I know the symptoms, I need antibiotic. Thats why I go to see him, for prescription. As soon as he finds out I had a tooth extracted 4 days prior, all he was interested in poking the site of the tooth extraction. I expressed my fear of him troubling a fresh extraction site (also I was coming from a follow up visit from the dentist, who said its healing very well and no sign of infection), At this point, this doctor and I am not lying, screamed at me: you should go to another doctor if you dont trust me! He also said something else in a loud voice to which the assistant literally ran into the room. They must have heard this before. This guy is YELLING at patients. I started to cry. Then he proceeded to approach with a pointed instrument saying he will put that up in my face cavity. I said for what? Dont u take an x ray or something to see an infection? He at this point said maybe I have a hole between my tooth and face and it will need to be operated in a hospital. is this guy normal?? Avoid him at all cost. Dr. Jameson is an expert, and I am so grateful for his ability. I had a huge hole above my upper lip after skin cancer surgery and thought I would never look the same again. Dr. Jameson examined me and explained to me exactly what he was going to do. After the plastic surgery, I looked totally normal again, and most people cannot even tell that I ever had the cancer.
