I went to see Dr Gorup after he was recommended him to me. I had had 2 prior surgeries relief for a couple of years each time. It has been nearly 10 years out from the surgery thstDr Gorup did. Although I still have some pain( about a 3). It is way less and it has remained stable. Iam hoping to have him repair a bad back surgery of another surgeon.

Dr. Gorup was understanding to my needs and quick to come up with a solution that worked. Highly recommend him for any spine or neck needs. His staff is also amazing right from the start.

Dr. Gorup is a great surgeon. He clearly explained the procedure and I had an easy recovery. I highly recommend him.

As a first time surgical patient, Dr. Gorup and the surgical team made it a very conforting environment. The team was informational, walking me thru the entire process. Doc did my Lumbar fusion and will soon be doing my cervical fusion. He is a great doc. Very, very skilled surgeon. His staff are all great- kind respectful people. I always get in quickly when I schedule, when I’m at an appointment and even when scheduling surgeries. I highly recommend Dr Gorup.

I had terrible problems with my back, to the point where I could not walk. Dr. Gorup performed my surgery, telling me it was temporary. Here I am 23 years later and my back is still good! Thanks again Dr. Gorup!!!

The staff there is amazing and quick to respond. They helped me with paperwork and short term disability issues. Dr. Gorup answered my questions about issues I've been having since my surgery. I would recommend them to anyone considering back surgery.

Would not recommend. He barely spent time with his patients, seemed annoyed by questions, was very short with answers, and lied to me about my ppi rating, then called me a liar when I asked about it. The staff on the other hand was always friendly and nice to speak with.

Not friendly. Poor bedside manner.

Dr gorup performed posterior lumbar fusion in 2020. Total success. Much better. He is a great surgeon, and cares about his patients.

Dr. Gorup and his staff are amazing! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I had a slipped disk with severe pain going down my right leg. Dr. Gorup explained my options to me and I decided to have surgery. This was the second time in 3 years my disk slipped but this time was much worse than the previous time. (last time I did epidural injections) I was able to have surgery quickly and everything went well. I would highly recommend Dr Gorup. Dr. Gorup and his staff are amazing! THE BEST! I have known Dr. Gorup for over three decades. He is the most empathetic, supportive, and insightful surgeon I have ever known. Moreover, he has always been extremely responsive to any and all questions or requests I have ever had. I would unhesitatingly and confidently recommend him to both family and friends.

Four years after surgery, I remain in constant, chronic pain. My vocal chords are much worse. I still believe it’s due to the bone stimulator that he insisted on. The FDA, did NOT approve this particular stimulator for the cervical area due to complications but Gorup insisted I use it. I didn’t use it very long because of the intense discomfort. Now, I can no longer talk for any period of time and at the end of the day, my voice is gone. I need to see a specialist but after my experience with Gorup, I really do not want any more surgeries. I hope my review helps people to not make the same bad decision I made.

Dr Gorup performed surgery on me 10 years after a neurosurgeon had fused 3 of my vertibrate. After all that time the area beneath the fusion began to hurt and the neurosurgeon did both a CAT scan & MRI. He found a lot of minor arthritic joints nothing stood out that would cause such pain. As a last result I went to Dr Gorup. He showed X-ray that looked as if my nerve was being pinched so I agreed to surgery. At first after surgery my back felt good for about a month but then it bagan to hurt worse that before the surgery. Dr Gorup had no explanations or recommendations and so I left with more pain that I started with. I returned to the neurosurgeon who indicated that yes the X-ray taken from that angle would make it look as if my spine was being pinched but if you looked at the CAT scan and MRI which took images from all sides/angles which show my spine had plenty of space and was not being pinched. Today I'm in constant pain and 80% of the day use a walker or wheel chair.

Don’t waste your time and money. Won’t give you a diagnosis if he can’t operate

Two years post surgery, my cervical pain remains severe. My vocal chords remain damaged to the point where I lose my voice and I can no longer sing or do public speaking. My quality of life is poor and I remain in bed the majority of time. Please, diligently review physicians before you allow them to do surgery.

Don't suffer with back or neck pain! Dr Gorup and his efficient office crew made getting insurance lined up and the surgery an easy process. The results are amazing! It is great to be able to move and live without pain. Two thumbs up for Dr. Gorup and the Indiana Spine Center!

The morning of surgery, I could not walk, stand, sleep laying down, shower, or drive. The next day I was climbing stairs, free of the pain that led me to seek help in the first place. I am now at two weeks past surgery and feel better than I have in years. Would I recommend Dr. Gorup to others? I already have.

Post surgery complications. Had surgery several months ago and in more pain afterwards thab before.Dr. Goroup not responsive to help telieve and find out whas wrong!!
