Dr. John R Gleason

In 1997 I returned to Illinois with my children. I literally opened the phone book to look up doctors and my finger landed on Dr John Gleason in Sandwich, IL. It was the best choice I've ever made. He listens to me. We are a team. Medically, I refer to him as my medical team lead because that title is perfect for what he does. He gathers all medical reports from other providers and monitors everything related to my health, even my walking routine. My most recent visit was excellent as always, including having his nurse ask follow up questions regarding my test results via MyChart prior to my appointment. I'm a person when I visit him, not just some patient. He meets my eyes when we talk and hears what I'm saying. Sure the computer is used, but it's a tool for recording. YOU are what is important and Dr Gleason makes sure you know that. Thank you, Dr G!

Very clean and friendly people

Excellent service

Standard medicare visit. Through and valuable. He is an excellent listener that gives good feedback.

I was required to have a physical to have a refill on prescribed medicines. A lab appointment was also required and I was instructed to fast (Duration was not instructed). I fasted the day before and day of appointment. Upon arrival I completed an asthma rating questionnaire. Dr. Gleason was cordial during visit and renewed prescribed medicines. He checked my breathing and felt around. I do not know if he checked my prostrate. My asthma questionnaire was not discussed. I was called into the lab for blood work. The technician asked why I was there not knowing what was needed to be done. ???? I was not asked if I fasted. The test results stated "Patient not Present" where lab report asked if patient fasted. I was present and I did fast for over 36 hours.

Great Doctor. Makes you so relaxed. Really listens to you.

Dr. Gleason did a very good examination, stating for my age I was doing very well and had no major issues that were located or discussed

My initial meeting with Dr. Gleason went very well. I am happy to find a doctor in my area since I have moved. Dr. Gleason seems like a good listener and didn't try to push any medications I don't need like my last doctor did. He suggested coming back in 6 months after going over my recent labs. This seems reasonable. His staff is friendly and had good things to say about him also.

Dr Gleason has been our doctor for 20 years him and his staff are always there to listen to us and help in any way .He is aways concerned with our heath needs and has always treated our medical needs

I am a new patient with Dr. Gleason and have been so incredibly pleased with his bedside manner and his willingness to listen to my concerns. He is wonderful and his staff is terrific as well!

Dr. Gleason is a kind and caring man ! Have never left the office with anything but relief that I was in his care . He is a smart man with a great sense of humor that along with his compassion and understanding made my choice for him to take care of me an easy decision .

Dr. Gleason is an amazing Dr. He truly cares about you as an individual person and has been a big help getting my health back on track. I can't say enough great things about him! I'm so happy Dr's like this still exist! I was ready to give up my quality of life until I met him. He is hands down the absolute best Dr. I've ever met! I'm so thankful for everything he had done to help me!

Dr. Gleason takes the time to listen to your concerns and addresses them accordingly.

Dr he is the greatest he listens and helps in any way possible. Nurses are great and funny. It a pleasure going

I have a few health issues starting up in my mid 50's. Dr. Gleason LISTENS carefully and pays attention which I think is crucial to anyone's health, especially when they overall aren't feeling that great and a few different diagnoses may be possible. He is an outstanding doctor.

Dr. Gleason has always been a very personable doctor. He has helped numerous physical ailments and provided advice and recommendations for others. He has also taken an interest in me, as a person. He knows what I do for a living and he asks about how my life is going in general.

They had already put in prescription order before I had even come out from the exam room and my patient info was put in their system before the nurse got a chance to ask. During a low point in life Dr. Gleason was beyond patient, concerned with my health issues and made changes to help me through them. I trust Dr. Gleason to care for my step Dad who recently moved in with us. He has Parkinson and I have no doubts in my mind about this decision.

Office was clean. Staff were very kind. Waited about 5 minutes to get in after paperwork was filled out. First time patient.

The lady at the check in desk was very friendly and happy. Dr Gleason as usual was very thorough and explains everything so it is understandable to anyone. I appreciate all the covid protocols and that makes me feel safe going to this office.

I always feel I am being well cared for when I visit Dr. Gleason. He listens to my concerns and treats me with respect. I have been a patient for over 20 years and even though I no longer live in Sandwich, it is well worth the extra travel time to continue to be a patient in this practice.

During my visit Dr. Gleason for a dislocated elbow he asked questions regarding how this injury happened and came to the conclusion I needed to see a specialist, very happy with Dr. Gleason and the specialist he sent me to.

He listens to everything you say and you never feel rushed. His staff is just as wonderful too. If I move out of state I will happily come back here just to see him.
