Dr. John Russell Gilmore

I payed the appointment cost to his office even when he told me he doesn't know how to do it. I think the problem is because he is too old and his knowledge is not so good for face surgery.

I had a great experience with Dr Gilmore, he answered all my questions and took care of all my concerns, great doctor.

He billed Medicare $878 to clean the wax out of one ear. Did a good job, though. And hey, I ain't paying for it, so why not go back.

Dr Gilmore was voted by D Magzine several years in a row as an excellent ENT doctor which contributed to my decision of going to see him. Here is an account of my less than stellar account with him. I had a 9am appointment, and although the office was empty I waited over an hour to be seen for my appointment. First the nurse discussed my medications and previous surgeries in depth prior to the doctor coming in the room. 1. When the doctor came into the room he called me by a name that was completely different than my own. He did not seemed concerned when I corrected him. 2. When he was feeling my neck, he said my thyroid felt fine. I had to correct him since I had it fully removed. 3. When we were discussing symptoms, he pulls out his iphone and starts to play on it. I did not have a good office experience and found him to be dismissive and bored. Great doctor. Excellent patient experience.

Dr. Gilmore is a wonderful Dr. He is pleasant and knowledgeable about Sinusitis and the Esophagus. He will be testing me about my condition and I have complete faith he get me well.

Dr. Gilmore is an excellent surgeon. He's confident, with years of experience. I'm still in shock at how well the surgery went.

Terrible unprofessional. Literally shames patients if they have a boil and it’s unsightly or smells. Your a DOCTOR ! Have some professionalism and respect for your patient. Makes it to the point you don’t even want to seek help because of the embarrassment he causes you.

My experience with Dr. Gilmore has been very positive. The staff has been very courteous and I finally feel good now.

Well I didn’t know what to expect after surgery but I can say that the operation was a success and I fill that the operation did wonders for my breathing I am a nose breather. Things turned out great. Keep up the great work Dr and staff.

Very nice Doctor and wonderful staff pleasant.

I never imagined my sinuses/breathing could feel this good. I had about 5 sinus infections a year and now it is practically none. I cannot say enough of Dr. Gilmore’s professionalism, excellence as a surgeon and courteous bedside manner. Best ENT in the universe!!! He is a Keeper!

We have spend $250+82.40 and he didn't find any problem with my father's ear. He should not worth $250 per visit.

Dr. Gilmore put tubes in my ear a year ago & they haven't fallen out yet, November will 2 yrs. I also had the balloon surgery, still congested and can't breath and my bill amount was unbelievable! Sad & Pitiful ????????????????

Dr. Gilmore examined swollen lymph node and examined my throat with a scope. Saw nothing unusual. Biopsied my lymph node, it took over a week to get the results. Pathology report was inconclusive. He wanted to remove the lymph node, send it to a pathologist for further examination. Major surgery. I decided to get a second opinion. Good, potentially lifesaving choice. They found cancer at the base of my tongue (he missed) as well as in my lymph node. No surgery. Referral to oncologist.

Worse plastic surgeon ever!. I spend a lot of money for him to basically leave my nose the way it was. I had a deviated septum and a broken nose. He said he was going to change my nose completely, Lies!

I came to this doctor to have my ears checked before going to an audiologist. I saw Dr. Gilmore 15 minutes. He then sent me to HIS audiologist. His bill was over $600, and the audiologist bill was over $400. This is clearly a case of Medicare fraud. And the audiologist wanted to sell me a pair of hearing aids for . . . . . $6000.

I would not recommend Dr. Gilmore - on the contrary I would suggest another ENT. I found him to be rude and the diagnosis incorrect. In addition the wait was much too long.
