Dr. Gil has been our pcp for nearly 30 years. Always listens, explains clearly. The office is now run by NY Health, and we'll staffed.

I am a new Pt. I am extremely happy I chose Dr. Gil, he took his time with me and was very thorough during my visit. His staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Office is super clean, comfortable and inviting.

his wife is rude and they dont clean those rooms i got covid after hearing a nurse say she had it as she stood sick in front of me

My parents both go to Dr. Gil. My dad recently underwent an important procedure and Dr. Gil was professional, courteous and very patient with everything, and making sure my dad got the care he needed. We need more caring doctors like this. Not doctors who just give up and say there's no hope, you have to do this the rest of your life, etc. Dr. Gil isn't like that. He is very supportive. Dr Gil diagnosed my husband with leukemia; if it wasn't for Dr Gil it would have gone undetected for much longer. After that diagnosis, I switched to Dr Gil as my primary. He ALWAYS takes his time with patients and is very thorough. I highly recommend him.

Always kind, always courteous, always professional. I willingly put my life in this mans hands.

Over the years, I have been several physicians but Dr. John Gil is a unique doctor, not only takes care of your physical health but inquire about your family, job and any issues concerns to your life. He is a down to earth human being and exceptionally pleasant at the office.

I am surprised to see some of these comments. I am a new patient to Dr. John Gil, I have seen him twice so far. Both visits went extremely well. Both times his staff were incredibly sweet, calming and patient. Dr. John Gil is very down to earth, gentle, and does not rush the appointment. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!! I would not even give him a star but you have to in order to submit a review. First you will wait for 1-2 hours to be seen. Then you get his staff that is incompetent and can’t even take a proper blood pressure. You then get a doctor that has the personality of a door knob and provides suboptimal care. And forget about the man washing his hands - he washes his fingertips - I have never seen anything like that! Finally, they ask you for a copay that doesn’t exist, and when you tell them you don’t have one and ask them about this, they say they have this copay because not everyone pays!!! Save yourself the additional headache and go to a real doctor, not this clown.

Dr Gil is a true super Doc.

Best ever

With all the craziness going on these days it is wonderful that Dr. Gil has the option of Telemedicine. I tried it for the first time for a prescription renewal and it works great. Kudos to Dr Gil for having this as an option and a great way to keep his patients safe!

If I can give a 0 I would. dont go here the manager n secretary werw so rude. I was specific with what medication I needed filled the doctor confirmed it and all was fine but when I received it it was the wrong dosage it was called in wrong. A error on their part but said they cant do anything about it. That ill have to go back to my last dr and pay again for visit n medication. they basically pushed me off the phone n acted as if they had no interest in helping or talking to me. You will wait a minimum of 30", usually 45-60 even if you are the first appointment of the day!!! Used to function better, 50 50 chance your script will not get called in. He arrives at the same time as his first appointment but decides to return calls and handle issues that popped up overnight then instead of coming in before patient hours to do office work. Very frustrating. Balanced against he is thoughtful ,knowledgeable and kind. Needs a good office manager. I am SO fed up with dr. Gil and his office. So unprofessional and unorganized. I had to get a physical recently and this is what i had to go through. Such a horrible experience. Also to make it worse i had an appt every time and still waited a minumum of 45 mins to be seen. January 12th - I made a 3:45 appointment for a dept. physical at Dr.Gil’s office.I waited 45 minutes to be seen. They preformed the physical and had me obtain a urinalysis. After, Dr. Gil attempts to draw blood on me. He was not wearing any PPE. He missed twice than asked if I could come back when there was a phlebotomist working. January 16th - I received a voicemail stating my blood work came back and everything looked good. That doesn’t even make sense considering Dr. Gil never received my blood. On February 1st- At 3pm I went back to have my blood drawn. At 4:29pm I received a voicemail that they forgot I had to get a PPD placed and I had to come back. March 6th- I made a 3:30pm appointment. I had my PPD placed. At 4:09pm I received a voicemail that they forgot that I needed to get an MMR booster done. March 9th- At 3:15pm I went back to get my PPD read as well as receive an MMR booster. Been going to Dr. Gill for years. I’ve always found him to be knowledgeable and compassionate. He listens, respects his clients, and I’m very grateful I can call on him when facing a medical issue.

Office staff tries hard - would recommend as a local Dr.- close to home and that's why I wanted to use him as a primary Dr. for general conditions for the family and we will have to see his be above the rest ! Compassion and good bedside manor would be nice to see for a change these days

Very rude and unprofessional staff. The doctor is ok, but not anything special. Be prepared to wait for more then 45 mins to be seen.

I'm finally switching doctors! I get the minimum from this office and I'm fed up. When I go I only have to wait about 30 minutes and I generally get what I need but up until my appointment there is no hope. They never call in my prescriptions, they take hours to call me back, they never pick up the phone, they never give me anything that is covered under my insurance until three days of back and forth with the doctor the insurance and the pharmacy. My pharmacy takes better care of me than this office and that to me is sad. I'm finally switching doctors! I get the minimum from this office and I'm fed up. Dr. Gil's staff is friendly and helpful but the doctor himself is rude, condescending, judgemental and insulting. He cares nothing about his patients true health. He cares only for himself.

The office staff was very professional, I was seen on time. Dr. Gil was thorough in my exam and he drew my blood for necessary tests. I have recommended him to friends and family.

Staff is completely incompetent and very rude. Very long wait times for a below average Doctor.

Dr. Gil is a doctor who took time to listen to my problems, my consistent research and knowledge of my body. He didn't pass over or think that what I said was not important. He took his time in evaluating me and my thoughts. He made me feel as if I wasn't just a 'dumb' patient, but someone who cared about his own well being and had the capability of expressing it.
