Dr. Franzese is a great doctor. He has been my physician for 20 years. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and always takes his time to answer all of my concerns. When I was hospitalized, he came to my room every morning to go over my prognosis. He is hands on and never sent another doctor to take his place. That is something you don’t see these days. Most importantly, he takes a great interest in his patients in a calm and very caring way. I personally feel that he is the very best in his field!

He is very knowledgeable. Takes time and interest in his patients. He is very hands on which is very nice.

Dr. Franzese is warm and comforting and makes you feel that you're always in good hands.

Had a virtual visit but have worked with Dr Franzese before. He is a really kind, knowledgeable physician. I really recommend him. His office staff, however, has always been difficult to work with. They do not match Dr. Franzese’s style at all.

The doctor failed to inform patient (20 y/o) and his guardians about procedural step in preparation of endoscopy, resulting in multi-day and painful delay. Facing our disbelief he showed total luck of compassion and actually threatened us with discharging himself from further treatment! Filing complaint to NJ BME. Stay away from his practice. There are many real professionals out there.

First time seeing Dr Franzese. Went for an office visit and then a colonoscopy. Very good doctor with a great bedside manner. In and out of the facility after having a colonoscopy in 2 hours which is a record for me. He did a great job and I will definitely go to see him again. All the great reviews are correct. He keeps you informed and educated. 5 stars.

Spoke with one of his office staff after John Franzese was highly recommended to me by a family member. The lady on the phone was extremely rude to me and very short - said they didn't have availability for new patients for a few months. Didn't even ask me if I wanted to make an appt in a few months, basically just hung up the phone. It's unfortunate that a doctor such as this has rude people working in his office.

Been a patient of Dr. Franzese for many years. Very professional and listens to his patients concerns.

When nurse was taking my blood, she pretended to drop something and started to move wildly needle inside my hand which was practically destroying my blood vein. After trying to prevent this by physically holding her hand for around 15 seconds, I had to pull the needle with her hand out to save my vein. Blood started to flow and she applied some liquid many times. After I came home, I found out that my skin was severely burned on my hand and I had to apply special treatment for 3 weeks. Shame.

It’s been a nightmare trying to find a good GI doctor in the Morris County that listens and doesn’t dismiss the complaints or symptoms, especially the obvious ones, and it seems like he is sincerely trying to help me with what these prior doctors couldn’t diagnose, or in some cases, actually misdiagnosed me thereby instituting improper therapies and redundant testing. Dr Franzese came highly recommended to me and although I have yet to follow up with him soon, he is the best GI doc I stumbled on

Dr. Franzese is an outstanding doctor. He is patient and knowledgeable. He does not rush through an appointment and takes the time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. I felt at ease and trust his medical diagnosis. The staff is friendly and helpful. My daughter is coming from New York to see him next month.
