This "Doctor" is the rudeness, most condenscending, argumentative, unprofessional, and self serving arrogant medical provider I have had the misfortune of knowing. My husband went with results of two MRI's (from two different radiologist) showing a large medial meniscus tear on his right knee. His signs and symptoms are text book descriptions of a torn meniscus! This so called doctor adamantly denied the presence of such injury. He, so arrogantly informed us that he DID NOT SEE A TEAR, when he looked at the MRI's. Only "mild arhritis". He also put in an authorization for a fluid aspiration from this right knee, which was approved by the insurance company. However, absolutely nothing was mentioned regarding fluid on the knee that required aspiration. This just might qualifiy in realm of insurance fraud! I promise that I shall be investigating this. Our adivce is to STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNCARING JERK OF A "DOCTOR"

Dr. Ellis did perform surgery to my right knee, and it was as good as can be, however my left knee has been getting worse every day. It is a Worker’s Comp claim and there lies the problem. Dr. Ellis and his staff are rude and unprofessional and do all they can to make things difficult for the Worker’s Comp patients. I had the authorization letter from my adjuster and after waiting for over a half hour in the waiting room, then another 40 minutes in the exam room I was turned away because the authorization letter didn’t specify which knee although it stated bilateral knee approval. Dr. Ellis made it clear that he is not a fan of attorneys and claims they are out for as much money as they can receive. All I wanted was for my doctor (Dr. Ellis) to help me, especially since I have been his patient. Suddenly, when the adjuster made the specific injury site correction, for no reason given, Dr. Ellis refused to treat my injury and had is staff relay the message. I have been unable to speak directly with Dr. Ellis to discover the reason for his refusal. Please read all the other comments for they are correct. Because of that, this is in no way slander towards Dr. Ellis and his staff. My attorney is well aware and is in agreement that this could fall in line with patient abandonment. I know there are caring physicians out there and Dr. Ellis is not that man.

What? What!

If you need to be treated for Dupuytren's Contracture Dr Ellis is not the person you want treating you for it (the initial consultation included a discussion to amputate one of the fingers "Because it's just a pinky finger"). I can't begin to describe the pain I went through with the (Xiaflex) shots because I wasn't given anything to numb the hand before the procedure (the nurses held me down), and nothing the following day when the fingers were "straightened" (i.e. yanked forcibly)...There was no PT, no after care, and in the end the results were nowhere near what I hoped for or was told to expect. Needless to say I went elsewhere! Whenever I call I either have to be placed on hold until the machine hangs up on me, and I have to callback constantly. However, if you get to talk to someone right away it feels rushed and like you're bothering them. Always like to give people benefit of the doubt, but always has the same vibe whenever I call.

This review has been long in coming, I've treated Dr. Ellis with respect and kindness but I did not get the same treatment. Long story short, I got injured at my job, I did everything I could to get appropriate help. I should not have to beg my doctor to do his job and help me find a solution to what became chronic shoulder pain. Dr. Ellis took the easy way out and decided anti-inflammatory meds and vague job restrictions were enough to fix the problem. The care I got was far below the standard of care I would expect when my livelihood was at stake. I had to leave my job because my pain was so horrendous, I'm fully convinced if he had done his job, I wouldn't have needed to stop working and to have sought medical attention elsewhere on my own dime. Even I know that a shoulder injury requires physical therapy, you cannot have someone waste away in a chair and call that medicine. I took control of my own care with an attorney, a better doctor, and with physical therapy I've seen the improvement I need to consider working again. My road to recovery became a lot harder with a doctor who never cared if I recovered at all. This guy does not seem to care. He cut me off when I tried to tell him what was wrong and said "You can talk when I'm completely done." I didn't get a good feeling from him. I was going to schedule a surgery but after reading all of these reviews and having similar issues I found someone different.

There were a lot of things wrong with this procedure but I’m going to keep it short. Dude didn’t check to see if the numbing agent worked before he proceeded to drain my cyst by stabbing me with the syringe repeatedly to break it up. Honestly would not recommend.

I'm going to contact a lawyer. this man is so rude and his refusal to listen to the patient is shocking. This doctor released me to go back to work with a camboot. No new xrays were taken since the first day I got injured was told I might need MRI done and didn't get that. I'm more injured now then when I first seen this doctor. If I could give zero stars as a review I would. I had a patella fracture, torn meniscus and torn patellar tendon. He took one look at my x-rays &MRIs and said the only thing he could see was the fracture. There were numerous times where I went to go see him and he didn’t even examine my knee but charted and charged the insurance like he had done so. Horrible bedside manner and condescending. If he treats educated, English speaking patients like this, I can’t imagine what he would treat my in laws, who don’t speak English, like. Also, the heavy set male medical assistant who works with the doc should NEVER be allowed to work in a job where he has contact with people. He has the worst attitude and treats you as though you’re trying to fraud the system. The guy asked me once about my pain scale and I told him a seven and he chuckled! I would NOT recommend to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

I recently went to Dr. Ellis for a meniscus injury and he did a FANTASTIC job! He was able to repair my meniscus verse removing it which was what I was hoping for. This is my second surgery with him and while he may be direct, which some may take as rude, but he is a busy doctor who has multiple patients to see every day! Thank you Dr. Ellis and thank you to your staff who while also very busy with multiple doctors in the office still show kindness and professionalism.

Dr Ellis is by far the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered in my life. I went in as a new patient, referred by my Neurologist due to neck and spine pain. I brought the mri of my neck and, after looking at the images, he claimed there was “nothing wrong” and to just go back to the Neurologist. I was referred because there IS bone growing into my nerves affecting my arms and ability to turn my neck. He told me he’s been a doctor for thirty years and I told him I’ve been in this body for 41 and there’s definitely something wrong. I told him he didn’t even let me explain the issues I’m dealing with. I don’t understand how a person like Dr. Ellis is allowed to treat patients. Perhaps it’s time for him to retire. He did not even examine me. He was condescending and I felt violated by the way he treated me. I left in tears. The office manager gave me a card to see a different doctor in a different practice. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Dr ELLIS is a very good surgeon I’ve had many surgeries with him. Is he a little bit too much in the beginning when you first meet him, yes he is, but that’s because he knows what he’s doing and he doesn’t need anybody else to explain anything else to him.Dr Ellis just did my last surgery a week ago and he did a great job. I would recommend him.why wouldn’t you want to go to A doctor that knows what he’s talking about and has experience to fix you the first time around.

What a bizarre experience. I'll give a bit of background information to start. I have a compound fracture in my collarbone with one bone fragment floating inside. I was told by the urgent care physician and a second physician that they absolutely recommend surgery, so through my HMO, I was referred to dr. Ellis. I had high hopes, after sitting around for 5 days with this bone producing out of my collar area... He seemed very kind at first, however I was a bit off-put by how quickly he ran through routine questions -- ie, allergies, medical history, etc. He cut off each of my answers with his next question. It made me really think, oh, he's just asking me these questions because it's protocol, not because he's taking a mental note of my case. Okay. Then we start talking about my fracture. He basically tells me, okay, 50/50 it doesn't really matter if i get surgery or don't. The choice is mine. He took me around the back of their medical counter to look at my X-rays on the computer. Then I reminded him that there was a bone fragment in there and that other doctors had noticed.... and asked what he thought about that? He seemed to have forgotten and then thought OH okay, maybe surgery IS best for you. But eh, either way the choice is yours. I was really hoping for a more clear, medically advised decision. However, I understand that I do have a choice. Anyway. I chose surgery, even though I wasn't positive it was "the best choice." I went back to my seat in the waiting room, where my dad was waiting, and sat down to fill out my paperwork. I felt somewhat confused and annoyed. My dad asked me what Dr. Ellis had said and I expressed frustration that I did not get the clear cut answer that I had somewhat been expecting. That it didn't seem to matter to him 6 one way or half a dozen the other. All well and good, I suppose, I haven't done this before but I just felt uneasy about it, especially about him suddenly remembering that I had a bone fragment in there and that "maybe" surgery was better than not. This is where it gets weird. A nurse was eavesdropping on my conversation with my dad. She overheard me talking to him about how I didn't get a clearcut decision and that I was a little confused/frustrated. This is a private conversation that I am having with family. She took that and went and talked to other staff, and Dr. Ellis. Then, another nurse who i had not yet spoken with, came to talk to me about post op. medication, told me she could not fulfill my request and to come with her because my surgery was being CANCELED. Before it had even been set in motion. I was very confused, but I followed. She took me back to the patient room where I spoke with Dr. Ellis, and Dr. Ellis came in and proceeded to tell me that he was no longer comfortable scheduling my surgery, because, and I quote, "THERE IS JUST SOMETHING WEIRD ABOUT YOU." That is what he said to me. I asked, "what may I ask, are you TALKING about?" He then informed me that his nurses had made it clear that they "caught me" talking on the phone and saying that the surgeon "didn't know what he was doing" and that "I demanded a second opinion." Woah. Not only did I never get on my phone, but I never said he didn't know what he was talking about, and I never said I wanted a second opinion. His staff played an immature game of "telephone" and skewed my words, and caused a drama scene within the office and Dr. Ellis plays into it. I'm not sure what sort of circus they are running at this place, but I will not have a bunch of children cutting my skin open and putting my bones back together, thank you very much. Condescending, arrogant, bizarre... I wouldn't let him touch me with a pair of tweezers! Thanks for reading. What a bizarre experience. I'll give a bit of background information to start. This Dr. was nasty and unkind to me. He told me my bursitis was all in my head. Perhaps because I am a woman. I was a nurse so I know a good doctor from a bad one, and in my opinion, he is bad. I had to ask for physical therapy orders. He took no x-rays even though I had fallen the week before and he complained about the quality of the x-rays I had brought from urgent care that were taken a month prior. I have heard of other complaints about him. This man should not be in practice.
