Dr. John Curanovic

I know that office staff has been turned over a couple of times and this one is very rude. I called (4) times to be told that a prescription could not be filled due to no labs being completed. I could have been told that on call #1. The person then said, "Well I hadn't talked to her." So i guess she is implying her co-workers are incompetent. I have been going to Dr. C since he opened his practice and he is great. The office staff is not. I had already been to doc in Aug for my follow ups and then my presecription ran out and they tried to schedule me again for another when I had just been to refill my prescription. Days away and my prescription is empty. Will be looking for another PCP.

I see Dr. Cirilo and the entire staff are very efficient and very pleasant. From Jasmine taking me back, getting vitals, history, EKG, etc. to Neicy the one stick lab tech, my visits are the best. No waiting, all my questions get answered, no rushing. I love this office.

Love Dr.C! He is very thorough and listens and is straightforward! He has always taken the best care of our family, from my Grandmother down to my son for over 20 years! And Neicy is the best tech Ever??!

I have been going there for over 18 years and love these people. Never a wait they always are caring and willing to answer any questions!

I have been a patient of Dr. Curanovic for 13 + years. He takes good care of me and keeps up with my range of health needs. Yes, over the years the support staff changes. The dr was great but unfortunately the front staff is horrible and so rude I have worked in health care facilities for almost 8 years and they way there treat and talk to you is so unprofessional I will not be coming back or referring anybody to this office

Doctor Curanovic is the best in Rowlett but i will give 1 star because the front desk staff are very rude , they make me more sick every time when I go or I call .

The office staff is incompetent. I filled out paper work with an updated address. They sent my bills to the old address. I never received the bill because it was sent to the incorrect address. When I called to address this issue they were rude and said I still owed the collection fee. They have been rude the last few office visits. I will not go back nor will I refer them. I have been going to Dr. Curanavich for 18 years now I believe. Never had one issue with him and have full trust and confidence in his abilities. I love the fact that his solution to my issues is, well find the cause. A Dr that does not just throw pills at the problem is a dying breed. I do find it odd with the reviews about his front office staff being negative but I will only speak of my own experiences. Never one issue with any of them. They do what they say they will and I love that when you have an appointment at 10am you are seen at 10am. I have lived in Dallas and Addison and still made the drive because he is the best. I've been there for years. It has been going down hill since he brought on two other doctors. I always thought the office was rude but didnt pay much attention. Latley the office has a attitude and been making mistakes. I had to retest and my insurance didnt pay. They said they forgot to ask the lab. It cost me $675.00. They said sorry. Now I need my medicine and they refused to call it in because I have to go in. I told them I'm home bound do to Corona-virus but the rude office person said the doctor wont call it in. I called my healthcare and they got a Doctor to call it in with no visit in two hours. Ill never go back.

I have been seeing Dr Curanovic for about 6 years. I really like him but his office staff is horrible. Unfortunately, because of them I am being forced to look for another Dr.

I have been seeing Dr C for about 6 years now. He had seen my father-in-law just before he died of cancer. My wife was very impressed with his manner and compassion, so since I was in my early 50's and figured it was time to see a regular doc I gave him a try. I was equally impressed. He is personable, understanding and has a good sense of humor. All good qualities for a doc IMHO. I have never been a "Meds" kind of person. Dr C only seems to push a meds approach to a problem when it is the BEST option and with much explanation and ultimately told me, "it's your choice, I am just giving you what I know from research and experience". I can't see going to anyone else that could be better. I haven't had any bad experiences with the office staff as I see in some other reviews. Maybe I am just lucky or easier to get along with. I am sorry but the office staff is sliding again........No call for referal, it has been 3weeks, called twice. Talk alot. Don't notice you are in the waiting area. Seem to be very unorganized. My friend went for an XRay he did not need. It was for someone else. Dr. C is fantastic.

I love Dr Curanovic and Dr Dickeson! Both pay close attention to detail when it comes to my health concerns. Also Andrea is very helpful and on top of referrals!!

I never write reviews for anything, let alone a for services on a doctor. However, the experience that I had today compels me to write one for the first time. Today was THE single most frustrating doctor appointment I’ve ever had and the worst display of customer/patient service I’ve ever encountered. All I can say since I'm limited on characters is the office staff is unprofessional, the office is dirty and Dr. C doesn't respect his patient's time.

He was okay, but there are other doctors in the area who treat you like a an actual person (not a thing to make money off of).

After seeing Dr C for over 15 years .... I had an issue wuth is EXTREAMLY rude front office, namely Office Manager Phyllis, who violated the HIPAA law, and front desk, Amy, who was so rude I hope someone knocks her off her high horse. After this encounter, I’ve left several messages requesting Dr. C to return my phone call. NOTHING .... I guess he doesn’t care as I once thought he did. ADDITIONALLY, if you pay attention, you’ll see that for every negative review, someone ‘anonymous’ or out of state will give a positive review ..... so be sure to research thoroughly. Have been a patient of Dr. C since 2003. Best Dr ever. Very c s ring, compsssion s te Dr I have ever met. Had a lot of health issues when I first csme to his office n he got me back on track with my health. Office staff is fantastic. Highly recommend him.

I had seen my previous doctor for nearly 20 years & his practice did not accept medicare. I thought I could never replace him. I was wrong. I found a fantastic doctor when I found Dr. Curanovic. He is not only a great physician he is kind, funny, underingstanding & very caring. Cound not have done better.

I have been a nurse for a long time and I have never met a more caring dr than him. My husband has a pretty lengthy health history and he helps us keeps things in check. There are three of us that see him and as soon as our youngest two are older they will become patients as well. Thankful we found him!

Dr. Curanovic is a great doctor. He is compassionate, patient, and he listens to the issues at hand. I came to him with a lot of health problems and he has gotten my health back on track. I highly recommend him as your primary care Physician. I am thankful for his service and helping me.

Best doctor I've ever had over all the years of my life which included having cancer and now with diabetes. Never feel uncomfortable and will listen to every issue you may have and address it, no matter how minor.

This doctor will leave you high and dry in middle of treatment with no provider! Stay away

Dr. C is a great doctor and in my opinion one of the best in the area. He was able to help find out the cause of my problems when doctors for years was not able to. He was always up to date and seemed to care about his patients. I NEVER had a problem with Dr C. His office manager is a totally different issue. Dr. C knew there was problems with the office manager yet lets her run it with her bad attitude. After over 10 years of seeing Dr C (with dr visits from me almost monthly), the office manager decided that because my husband was deployed and didn't show up to his dr appt and didn't call (due to no phone service in the area he was unable to call) that we could no longer be patients of Dr C. Even though I had nothing to do with it, I was sent a certified letter that Dr C would not see us again. It is very appalling that Dr C would allow this type of behavior from his office manager and when we mentioned this to him he said he would take care of it yet we received letters stating he would not see us. Very disappointing to see a doctor willing to lose a patient over his rude office manager. Sadly, the office manager didn't care that he got deployed last minute and had no phone service - she had no regard for military or first responders. If you want a great doctor, I recommend Dr C however be warned that the office manager is rude, will yell at you, and will refuse to talk to you. Dr. Curanovic is the absolute best doctor I've ever had. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

If I could give Dr. C. 10 stars then I would. He's an amazing doctor and the most caring doctor I have ever known. I'm beyond shocked that ANYONE would have a single bad thing to say about him, but as we all know people LOVE LOVE LOVE to talk smack so I suppose I shouldn't be shocked, but don't believe a word of it! Another beautiful thing is that he takes Medicare because he loves people and believes all deserve the same level of medical care. Now THAT is just one example of how great he is. I love him so much that my entire family have become patients as well. Please give him a try ... not only is his bedside manner beyond wonderful, he is brilliant, kind and has zero ego!!! I was in need of a new doctor due to a medical condition me doctor couldn't figure out. I felt I needed an internal doctor and a friend recommended him. I'm so glad I did! My only regret is that I didn't find him years ago!!! He seems genuinely interested in his patients and bot he and his office are very professional! Dr. John Curanovic , May be a Great Doctor . I have no Idea. His support team(office) get a F grade from me. Made a appointment, Gave them my inf. When I arrived was advise I had a hmo plan. I call medicare and United Health care , Was advise I had a PPO plan. Both said for the office to call them. They wouldn't call. Plus said had to make appointment next week. What happen to my Scheule appointment? No one call me about this. Office Customer service Rate a F grade from me. Charlie Swain

Dr. C. is far and away the best Primary Doc I have ever ever ever seen and If I could give him 10 stars I would. I'm very surprised that he would have ANY negative reviews, but people LOVE LOVE LOVE to complain!!!! Anyway, he has no ego and just wants to make sure his patients are well taken care of. He truly has been an angel to me and has become a doctor to our entire family -mobviously meaning I would recommend him to anyone - including my family!!! Please give him a try bc you will love him

Dr. Curanovic is great doctor and I would have not left if it wasn't for his rude nurse. It wasn't an isolated incident, she was rude and abrasive the last 3 times I went there, and I wasn't complaining about anything. I was just there for an appointment. I hope he fired her by now.

I work in Healthcare and have been a patient of Dr.C. for almost 10 years. While his ancillary staff can sometimes be perceived as "cool" and unwelcoming, the doctor himself has a great bedside manner and is very thorough.

The office staff is rude and have no desire to help out in any way. It's very sad because Dr. Curanovic is a great doctor.

Dr. Curanovic is AWESOME!!! He caught an auto-immune disorder that I believe I have had since I was a little girl and I have been to endless doctors and ER's and it always boils down to them telling me nothing. He found this on my first office visit with him, if you have experienced this go to him and I bet he finds your issue! He will never understand what difference he has made in my life, I have been fighting this my whole life and its over finally i can get better! THANK YOU DR. CURANOVIC!

I haven't seen a doctor for nearly twenty years because I got like spending a lot of time waiting to see the doctor but dr.curanovic is very punctual I am usually in and out of his office in 10 to 20 minutes. The doc will also spend as much time with you as you need him to.
