Dr. John D Corey

I saw Dr. Corey almost 10 years ago. Myself and my children. It’s been that long, and still occasionally think of how condescending he was to me, and how low he made me feel. He judged me for having 4 kids and being on Medicaid- which I no longer am by the way. And ignored my concerns about myself and my children on more than one occasion. Luckily I came to my senses and got a new doctor who listened, and help me get our issues resolved. But 10 years later, I still think of him with disgust. Let that sink in.

I am a 55 year old male with a complex medical history. Dr. John has diagnosed and treated me over the past decade to my complete satisfaction. He listens first, asks questions and moves forward. He works with me as I bring him questions and requests. He knows what he is doing and will engage specialists without hesitation when needed and appropriate. I would recommend Dr. Corey at any time. Dr.Corey has been my Doctor since he graduated and began private practice.I would have no other.I trust him completely. He has cared for my grandbabies from the day they were born.And they adore him.I have recommended him to many ,many people.You won't find a better doctor anywhere!!!!!

Failed to diagnose a major varicocele that caused me major problems during my early 20s. And when I say he failed to diagnose, I don't mean that he just didn't catch it on a routine check up. I actually told him that I felt something was wrong with my left testicle and that I was noticing some discomfort. After a half-assed inspection, he reassured me that it was 100% normal and that I didn't need to worry about a thing. After progressing for several years, causing me to have major problems with my testosterone and eventually getting so bad that I thought I had a hernia, I finally went to the hospital. There, the doctor said I had a major grade 3 varicocele that was causing me deferred pain and creating a whole slew of problems. I only waited until that point because I trusted my doctor. I believed that if he was so sure nothing was wrong, then surely nothing must be wrong. I wouldn't be so harsh with this review if it came down to a simple mis-diagnosis. I believe Dr. Corey to be an ineffective doctor because of his overconfidence and unwillingness to listen to a legitimate problem. That and my college years were spent with major depression from having the testosterone levels of an 85 year old man that could have been prevented if this problem were caught earlier. I've been seeing Dr Corey for well over 6 yrs now and he is the only doctor to ever get me on the proper medications. I have several illness's and if he doesn't know what is going on he sends me to a specialist. He listens and he cares. I've been through many doctors and Dr. Corey is one of the best. I am very much into my own health and he doesn't mind at all when i walk in with my printed out info from the internet. Many doctors get offended by that but not Dr. Corey, he appreciates you care about yourself.
