Very unprofessional. Dr. Choi always appeared in a hurry. Has disproportionate bedside manners. Either anesthesiologist or Dr. Choi made a strategic surgical error when inserting needle into lower lumbar area prior to surgery hitting a nerve. As a result, almost five weeks after the procedure it has left patient in considerable discomfort and pain. Adding insult to injury, Dr. Choi has not even apologized. Unhappy camper!

Dr. Choi literally gave me my life back. I suffered with excruciating, searing, burning pain for 8 months with what I thought was attributed to just Shingles PHN pain. After seeing 4 drs., he believed it to be more than shingles nerve pain alone. He ordered an MRI, and found that beyond Shingles I had a slipped disc and a bulging disc that was pressing on my sciatic nerve. (same area as shingles) He scheduled an epidural steroid injection. 2 weeks after the injection I was pain free! After 8 very long miserable, depressing, and hopeless months, I was able to stand, walk, even play with my grandchildren!! I had my follow up with him today and anything I need, he'll be there for me. I cannot thank Dr. Choi enough, I have my life back. Dr. Choi literally gave me my life back. He’s a money hungry, needle pusher. I have nerve damage to my stomach. I’ve had plenty of injections which were unsuccessful. I don’t want anymore injections, so with that being said my options now are live with the pain. I don’t believe he’s as good of a doctor as he thinks he is. I saw Dr Choi today. This was one of the most dehumanizing experiences of my life. Here is my story: in 2017 I was in a car accident. Since then I have seen numerous physicians and PAs, had hip surgery, multiple rounds of injections and an RFA for my nerve pain. Dr. Choi, more dismissive than anyone I have ever met, told me that he "could not prove" that it was nerve pain unless he did his own rounds of injections. I told him that those injections were almost more traumatic than the car accident and that I would not. He would not try ketamine infusions which are why I went to him in the first place. He reviewed my chart with me in the room for about 40 minutes and then told me no. Even though I can go pay out of pocket in Appleton for the same exact injections. I will do that. So thank you Dr Choi, for showing me that all PM physicians are worthless and only want to poke and prod until they **** you up worse than the original injury. Do not recommend. I saw Dr Choi today. Can submit Pic. Dr. Choi inserted a chin implant in me in 2006. About a month after the initial surgery was performed I noticed that it seemed large for my small frame face but was told that the swelling would go down in about 3-6 months and not to worry. I moved from Orlando and lost my job so follow up was difficult and until recently correction was impossible. I do not recommend Dr. Choi for chronic pain management. I have sciatica, chronic neck and upper back pain in addition to degenerative disc disease and fibro. I can not speak to his abilities and care when it comes to surgery and straight forward issues, however I sought his help for chronic pain and his only agenda or plan of treatment was ketamine infusions. If you are not a candidate for that or if you try the infusion and do not have favorable results he will dismiss you as his patient and will not help or treat you in any other way(s). Ketamine infusions are a huge money maker & my experience made me feel like money making procedures take precedence over caring for and treating patients in pain that need your help. There are more options for pain management besides expensive ketamine infusions, but that's all he would do. I do not recommend Dr. Choi for chronic pain management. Dr. Choi has been treating me for about two years now. I have had two cervical fractures and 4 thoracic compression fractures, DDD, and a number of other spinal issues. I can attest that he has helped me by using injections directly into my spinal canal. Do they hurt? Yes. Each person has a unique situation and body makeup and not all therapies work on everyone. Sometimes it is just trial and error until you find what works for you, but remember, communication is critical. Write down questions and details about your pain. Hopefully this will help you.
