Dr. John Christopher Caston

Dr. Caston is utterly brilliant. His approach to psychiatry is cutting edge and successful. Dr. Caston has been a godsend to thousands of patients, most especially me.

His work is incredible & fascinating. He does a great job with DNA & Genetic Testing & the Application of the information he receives & reads from the results. No complaints here. They are always willing to lend a helping hand.

Very compassionate, thorough and highly educated and update on research. He was incredibly patient with us and I appreciate all the accommodation with unusual hours so I did not have to miss as much work to get to my appointments.

Dr. Caston is unprofessional. The medical records and documentation I requested from his office were inaccurate and did not justify why I needed special services. Rude and condescending. I would have thought a man with his area of expertise would know better than to belittle another person just because you can.

Outstanding in current research and effective treatment. Very compassionate, kind psychoanalyst. Expect to wait for a routine appointment. Each patient gets the time and attention they need. I drive 2 hours to see him. You can call ahead to check his schedule and adjust yours accordingly.

I'm unable to rate this even with 1 star. The experience for my husband and I was terrible. They made him drive over an hour for labs, never disclosed these labs were going to cost additional fees, insisted they told us costs they never had! Wait times were greater than an hour and a half. When asked for records there was a great deal of inaccurate information! He also included a diagnosis for which he NEVER addressed anywhere, including to his patient, my husband! Worst experience ever.

He listens and works with you in finding the right medications. What is really special that he does, and no other psychiatrist I have seen does, is use as much medical testing and labwork as possible to help evaluate one's problems. He also does not talk down to a patient. He will explain in as much medical detail as you want. His only flaw is that his appointmengs always run late, from half an hour to 2 hours,but he is wortb it.
