Dr. Buhac is an amazing doctor but an even better person. Listened to all my symptoms and was very patient with everything. Always diagnosed properly and helped me recover. If you ever have stomach issues, this is the man to go to.

I was greeted & welcomed as i entered the door... The young lady who checked me in... Was very nice... The young lady who took my vitals... Was a sweet girl... I seen Dr. Buhac hes awesome... Listens to you... Makes you feel comfortable...

As, always you are treated with respect, professional care is excellent. The new offices in Clifton Park are wonderful and easy accessible parking.

I have been a patient of Dr. Buhac, Albany Gastroenterology Consultants, for many years and always have had a great experience. He takes the time to listen and explain in detail when I have a concern or a question; very knowledgeable in his field with the diagnostic capabilities to help treat the issue. I find Dr. Buhac to be kind, caring and exceptional in his profession. I praise and highly recommend his expertise. Dr. Buhac is very respectful and cares about his patients. I am always able to get in, in a timely manner and were able to get answers to my stomach problems fast.

I am very happy with Dr. Buhac. He is very thorough. I liken him to a pitbull with a bone. He wont give up. His testing showed my kidney cancer. He broke the news with kindness and compassion. He got me to an oncology specialist the next day. Now he treats my liver disease with the same care and compassion. He explains everything to me. I never feel rushed and I ask a ton of questions.

It was a procedure I always wanted and was so happy I did it at this office!

He was wonderful, patient, and very understanding. He listened to my problems and helped me with a plan.

Office is way too busy. Dr sent in wrong dose of medication and does not even remember doing it! Tried to blame me for increased dose of amitryptilline( like I could go to pharmacy and say please increase my dose! )They don't return calls , nurse Valerie is very rude. If they can't find cause of problem they label it IBS and give you a boot in the butt. No patient compassion , just all about the money. Do not go to this office/doctor if you need anything more the routine. !!!

Dr. Buhac is excellent. I was having a problem and he took the time to work with me. He did a procedure and answered all of our questions afterwards. He is kind and considerate. Truly worth going to.

Not helpful at all

Poor communication of options for treatment of a problem swallowing and wanted to put in a feeding tube without even trying any other treatment. When we insisted we try medication first, it took 5 days before communication between doctor's office and pharmacy occurred. Meantime patient loosing weight! Switched to another doctor who provided options and treatment; will never go back to Dr. Buhac

When my brother, who has 4th stage lung cancer, was seen by Dr. Buhac it was due to a problem swallowing food and fluids. He was losing significant weight. Dr. Buhac scheduled testing that would determine if the problem was due to his cancer or some other reason. Based on the results he said there were some conditions that could be treated but if it were due to the cancer he would need a feeding tube. His nurse called us with the results (he was away on vacation) and said it was not due to the cancer and that they could put in a feeding tube! No other recommeded treatment? we asked. Upon our insistence they said they would prescribe medication. Due to miscommunication between his office and his assisted living facility it took 5 more days before he statred the medication and the doctor never asked him to come in for a follow up!! We found another doctor who explained options more fully and is working with us on other treatment before resorting to a feeding tube. We will never use Dr. Buhac's practice again.

Experience was horrible and I do not recommend. Sent me a letter after an upper endoscopy saying everything is good and to check back in a year. Meanwhile I checked in the ER because my stomach was in so much pain. ER doctors recommended finding a new GI and told me there were a lot of other test he could have done. They also informed me I had a fatty liver that my GI should have diagnosed and addressed.

He is a terrible Doctor. He wrote me off as being okay because blood test came back normal. He wouldn't do a lower GI because of my age. A year later I came back with worse symptoms and they did the lower scope. They found colitis and ulcers. He still hasn't started treating it. I'm finding a new doctor. He doesn't seem to care that I am still having problems. Stay away.

Buhac threw a fit outside exam room when he learned I was there looking for a second opinion. Diagnosed my pain as diverticulitis without a physical exam. A year later I saw his nurse who correctly diagnosed my condition as a double hernia.

I have had three visits so far. While I did not find him effusive, he was courteous, professional and receptive to my thoughts regarding diagnosis and treatment. That's pretty much what I'm looking for in a non-primary physician

Does not have the greatest bed side manner. Poor listening skills. I would not recommend this doctor. Also, trying to switch doctors within the group is impossible. They don't allow it. You have to go to another group.
