I writing to say I was a patient 22 years ago. Dr.John Brown replaced my aortic valve. I just want him to know that I STILL have it!!! It is an Edwards bovine valve. It will be 23 years old July 17 2023! I was 49 then and I'm 71 now. Great job Dr Brown! Renee L., Houston, Tx

Replaced my aortic valve. Came out of surgery with no issues. Healing process has been faster than expected. I would definitely recommend Dr. Brown

The doctors and nurse practitioners, especially Dr. Brown, are great. The administrative staff is sub-par. We've had problems with them off and on since shortly after we started using this practice: continuing problems with billing, procedures being mis-coded and then thrown out by insurance, responses from admin staff (especially Cindy and Jen) border on hostile, the practice manager rarely responds to any messages. Currently dealing with miscoding on typical labs ordered during a physical. This has generated a rejection from the health insurer and a $500 bill from the lab. I've had to go to the central office at GBMC hospital to prod the Hunt Valley office to simply do their jobs. If you can put up with all the aggravation from the admin side, then this is the practice for you. The admin side rates 1 star.

Dr. Brown submitted a bill to my insurance company for Chronic Care Management because my husband was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Most insurance companies do not cover Chronic Care Management. We asked Dr. Brown and the billing department at GBMC to rebill the insurance company for Diabetes care and he refused. And now we got a bill for $91.00. If they billed under Diabetes care our copay would be $0.
