Dr. John K Botson

It's a terrible disease, but he has kept me on track for these past 10 years and I am alive and well because of him.

He’s an excellent doctor. I’ve been going to Dr. Botson since 2013. He cares about my condition. He’s a good listener. He answers all of my questions. He’s not rushed. He makes you feel comfortable. My disease is under disease is under control because of him.

Dr Botson is very attentive and thorough. I always feel like I’m in good hands!

Dr. Botson takes his time to listen, asks question's, answer's questions, and responds to emails. You don’t feel rushed when visiting and he is always so very polite and understanding. Dr. Botson genuinely cares about his patients. Alaska is lucky to have a doctor like him!

I've seen Dr. Botson semi-annually for several years. He is friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, and thorough. He is a consummate professional without a trace of arrogance or stuffiness. I highly recommend him to anyone needing the services of a rheumatologist. His staff and the OPA patient portal make scheduling appointments and prescription refills quick and easy.

Dr. Botson was AWESOME! He listened to me, and wanted to know all about how I was feeling. He took his time with me to get all the information from me he needed. He didn't just throw more medication at me and say sorry , there’s not anything else we can do. I am so happy I got referred to him. I would recommend him to everyone. The only downside is that it takes a long time to get an appointment with him. But it was worth the wait.

I waited some time for this visit but it was very much worth it. Dr. Botson was wonderful. I was very pleasantly surprised by the length of my visit, by the time he spent taking a detailed history, listening to me and asking follow up questions. He examined me gently, taking care not to hurt the areas where I was experiencing symptoms. I would recommend him without reservation.

Have been seeing Dr. Botson for many Years for lupus. He Has always been supportive and kind, takes the time to listen without making Me feel rushed. I am wholly confident in the science he uses to back up everything he tells me. I am grateful he is my provider!

No doubt Dr Boston is a physician, the best in rheumatology in Alaska in my opinion. However the fact that he is receiving such large amounts of money from various pharmaceutical companies is a bit shocking. As a patient it's your responsibility to advocate for yourself and know the facts. Should you should receive any prescriptions from him I'd ask "Are you receiving any compensation financially from the manufacturer of this drug? Before deciding what the best drug is for you. Since he is an honest and transparent physician he will have no problem answering this question. He and his staff are always personable and listen well. If I don't like the way something is being done they always try to accommodate me.

Dr Botson is a very friendly, understanding and patient physician. He always addresses my concerns and is willing to listen. We are blessed to have him in our community.
