Dr. John Thomas Berg

I love Dr Burg. He has been my eye Dr since I was 7 years old. He is reasonable in prices and he works with my prescription to make it the most comfortable for me and my budget! His wonderful wife is there with him and I love her too! I hate to see them go! I hope they never leave !!!

He is very thorough, explains everything! If you don't understand he will explain it. He saved my vision! Would recommend him definitely! I have been going there for about 7 years.

I love Dr Berg. He's has been my families eye Dr for over 20 years! I don't want him to retire. ???? takes his time to talk to you and explain everything.He's the best.

Dr. Berg provides thorough, personal service in a manner that is quite rare in this day. His care for his patients and willingness to listen is a refreshing experience.

I have never been to Dr. Berg however I wish I could!!! I called his clinic very close to closing tonight and he answered the phone! I have NEVER had a dr answer their own phone (that first off tells me he doesn’t feel too important to answer a phone) secondly he was very patient with me over the phone and showed great concern for the issue I was experiencing, asked questions and gave his insight on what steps I should take. Unfortunately my insurance is not accepted at his practice but I sure do wish it was!! If he showed me so much compassion without even being his patient I can only imagine how well he treats those that are. Dr. Berg thank you for being a compassionate dr!! I went to Dr. Berg’s office yesterday and this was the best eye exam I’ve ever had. The exam was very thorough and he patiently explained the issues I was having, answered all my questions, and discussed all options with me. I’m a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend him. I had the best exam very thorough He took his time with me. Very patient with me. I’ve just called for my next one. If he is gonna take his time with me then he does with all his patients I don’t mind waiting although I didn’t have to

This was the best eye exam I’ve ever had. Unlike other exams where I was rushed through the process, Dr. Berg took his time with the exam and patiently answered all my questions and discussed all options. He even put in my contacts to show me how it’s done. Excellent service at a very reasonable price; I highly recommend him!

The place is small but the dr is very kind I went here for my first contact exam and he was very polite and nice

Dr. Berg I gave me the most thorough and in depth examination of my eyes that I have ever received! He is truly interested in his patients health, not selling glasses or contacts. He correctly diagnosed an astigmatism in one eye, and warned me of a developing cataract in another. ( Like many in our area a big portion of my working life has been outdoors.) Dr. Berg is very knowledgeable, patient and extremely knowledgeable. If you are looking for a real eye doctor and not just a dispenser of glasses, make an appointment and be prepared for the most careful and thorough eye examination you have ever experienced! Never may it in for a visit but just from dealing with them over the phone I can say they are the rudest office I have ever dealt with. I was trying to ask a simple questions regarding insurance (I was on the phone for less than 5 minutes) and whoever originally answered the phone (as she didn't provide me her name) had an attitude problem and when the phone was passed off to Dr. Berg he simply said "Goodbye" and hung up on me. Zero customer service. I will never consider this office again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

Eye exam was fast no problem there.

I have been going to Dr. Berg since I moved back to Texas 17 years ago. I've never had any issues with them. I can usually get an appointment pretty quick , or last minute, if needed. My youngest son recently got glasses and this is where we went. Dr. Berg spoke to him, as the patient, and then spoke to me, as the mom. They're great!

This place is nasty. It's not even clean anywhere. And because my son had the giggles he was very short with him. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Hire a cleaning lady and don't have your receptionist call clients of yours brain dead because they don't like what they are saying. Extremely rude and nasty. Always the best prescription fitting ever and I've worn glasses since the third grade!!

After my glasses broke today (Sunday) I couldn't get in anywhere to renew my prescription. This place was my last resort because I just happened to be passing by while doing my shopping at Walmart and he worked me in last minute! I am so grateful, within 45 minutes I had a new prescription for glasses and contacts as well as a new pair of contacts until I can order more... this is definitely my new eye clinic!!! GREAT!! Optometrist! very professional, respectful, and caring. I have been going to Dr Berg for several years and recently had a problem with my eyes. He took the time out of his busy schedule to help me get the special eyedrops I needed. Now that is awesome!!. I recommend anyone that need an eye exam to Dr. Berg. I have insurance but he doesn't except it, I pay out of pocket to see him because he is just awesome. He has been my eye doctor for years and that's not going to change. Highly recommended!!

Walked in as a new patient and the secretary(?) at the front desk was very rude and said flatly fill this out and sign this but do it in the waiting room. No pleasantry at all. The doctor was 20 minutes late for the appointment. During the checkout, I asked if they accepted debit and was told yes but it was run as credit with no explanation. The RX was also written incorrectly. I left with my prescription and went to the optical store next door and the Dr. was talking about me when I entered

The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and unfriendly. The doctor was nice and helpful but very late for the appointment.
