Very Friendly & Helpful Staff. They've Been Around for a While. Dr. Atwater try to Help ME Every Which Way Before Doing Surgery. Good People. I was Comforted by Him & Staff. Gave ME Lots of Pamphlet, Info & Even a Disk for the Type of Surgery I Need for MY Back. And Even Then Before Throwing ME to the Wolves, Practically Sat There and Went Over the Whole Procedure with ME, Even Though I was Scared ???? & Still Am ????, HE Kind of Gave ME a Reassurance and Made ME Feel More Comfortable After HE was Done, That I Wasn't as Scared When I Left There, ????.. Doesn't Push YOU Into Doing Something YOU Don't Feel Comfortable Doing, but Told ME That I Couldn't get the Surgery Yet, Cause I had Another Problem with MY Kidneys, Even After Getting ME Comfortable to Wanna do it... Thanks ???? Atwater & Staff for Being There for ME, Angel ????...

I will forever be grateful to Dr. Atwater for giving me my quality of life back. He did back surgery on me about 6 years ago and I feel wonderful. He is The BEST! I will never forget him. He also has wonderful bedside manner. Just an excellent Dr in every way. Still thanking you Dr. Atwater. Wish every Dr was like him.

Doctor Atwater and his team are amazing. It's always a little bit scary when you're letting someone touch your spine. However I have the utmost confidence in him. I have only been a patient for maybe 8 months but I feel as comfortable with him as I am with doctors I have had for years. I visited Dr. Atwater's office suffering with some back pain that I received from a car accident. After a number of visits to the chiropractor Dr. Carter (who is also excellent) recommended that I see Dr. Atwater. Upon visiting the office Sharee who is the nurse practitioner walked me through the process verbally and I was still very apprehensive about the procedure so I delayed it. After trying the natural and pain management way I decided to return to have the procedure done. There was pleasantries always at the office from the entrance to the exit. I am indeed a patient for life (when needed of coarse) I spoke with Mrs. Atwater (who also works in the office)and shared my experience. It was indeed a pleasure to see where the strength comes from that supports such a great practice. Leaving her with my final statement Dr. Atwater is THE MAN. If you are in need of a Orthopedic Doctor he is definitely as I expressed earlier THE MAN! Thank you to this office for giving me my life back.

Dr Atwater and his staff are simply a pleasure. The receptionist Deborah is so nice and always smiling. Dr. Atwater and his nurse practitioner Sheree are very knowledgeable and take their time to make sure you understand everything. Come check us out! You won't regret it!

I have been a patient of Dr. Atwater's since 2015. After a car accident left me needing multiple complex lumbar spine surgeries, he was the only surgeon I was willing to let operate on me at the age of 32. He is a skilled, empathetic and personable physician. The "backbone" of his practice, is his nurse, Kara Mace. I have required high levels of medical attention in the past 4 years and would not have been able to overcome the many obstacles in my path, had it not been for her. She gives every patient her personal and professional attention, with a smile on her face. She is attentive, informative and has made navigating life after spine surgery, seem hopeful. Be it prescription requests, insurance authorizations or an empathetic ear to hear your concerns, she has given this orthopedic office an edge above all others. Thank you! I had what I thought to be a spasm in my back, and by the next few days I had severe pain running down my leg, so I went to the walk in clinic and they recommended I follow up with Dr. Atwater, so I did. I got an appointment the very same week. By this time , I was in excruciating pain, I couldn’t sit down for more then a minute or 2, and sleeping was not even in the picture. They suggested I have injections in my back to alleviate some of the pain, to which I did and it only helped for a matter of hours. Dr Atwater then suggested surgery and I jumped at it, because I couldn’t bare going on in the pain I was in. Well I had the surgery and was walking that same day, my pain level had decreased tremendously, it took me about 6 weeks and I am just about pain free. This man in my eyes is a absolutely miracle worker. I also need to mention that when I was in the excruciating pain and after, his nurse Kara was truly a blessing! They are top notch in my book!!! I was in a car accident exactly 2 weeks ago Today. 10/13/19 I’ve had nothing but bad luck trying to find a Dr in general on such short notice, let alone a specialist! A Dr who specializes in spine treatment and pain., not a P.A. or N.P. I am on a 14 day time frame with the other parties insurance co. Otherwise my medical coverage goes down significantly. On top of being in such excruciating pain from this accident, to add insult to injury I am a full time cosmetologist and work 10-12 hour- 5 days a week standing on my feet behind the chair, and I run a business that I just can’t walk away from. One of my clients and her husband, who has been treated by Dr. Atwater for years.. had nothing but amazing reviews! She called on Friday explaining my dilemma. Dr. Atwater and his staff are so caring and understanding to real life situations.. they got me an Appointment within a 3 day window. I am so excited to meet this wonderful man whom I’ve so heard so many great things about, along with his reviews! I sure hope he can treat me and manage my pain temporarily without jumping right into a back or neck surgery like most Dr’s.. I’m only 35. I will respond back with a review after my appointment! Established patient, waited over 90 minutes to be seen while two new patients seen first. Results of EMG and Nerve Conduction Series not reviewed. Explained pain had changed from right leg to left. Dr. Atwater said he could do spinal injections Friday (this was Tuesday afternoon at 5:pm) once again explained cardiologists required me to be off Eliquis 4 days prior to injection. Nurse said it would be enough time, I asked how she counted 4 days from 5:00pm Tuesday to 9:00am Friday, I counted a span of only 2 days. Dr. Atwater said he could do injection next Wed. , and left the room. Nurse then informed me Dr. Atwater didn't do injections on Weds., he would do injections again on a Friday two weeks later. Initially I had been referred to Dr. Atwater by friends who had good experiences with Dr. Atwater. My experience has been very poor!
