Dr. John Gregory Amspaugh

Dr Amspaugh has been my Dr a long time. I'm a "complicated case" but that has never stopped him from listening to me and helping me find answers anyway he could. I honestly believe he has saved my life; more than once. I don't know where I would be or if I would even still be here if it wasn't for him. Thank you with all my heart for being the Dr you are and always being there for me.

Greet friendly staff provide excellent care

I would highly recommend this office. Dr. Amspaugh and his staff are kind and thoughtful regarding my health and physical care.

Dr. Amspaugh is the most caring, kind and intelligent Doctor we have ever had and that is really hard to find these days. He always listens to you and does what is best for you. Our Family just loves him.

I needed to get in quickly for a pre surgery physical and they were great getting me in and providing professional services with a smile!

I'm always glad I made an appointment with Dr Amspaugh and the Iowa Clinic. It turned out my concern turned out to be an infection, easily treatable. The staff was so friendly and helpful, I have no desire to go anywhere else.

Dr. AMSPAUGH AND HIS NURSE are beyond AMAZING!! I have a ton of health issues and after my original family doctor retired 2 years ago, I have experienced so much judgement and inhumane treatment (by 2 other providers) that went far beyond what any human being should ever have to endure from their own health care "team". I have come to DREAD going to a doctor's appointment and picking up my medications because it means another day of disgusting behaviors by the very people who decided to partake in a profession that is supposed to be centered around care and compassion. I experienced only the best treatment today. The kindness by every person I encountered (reception, nurse and doctor) made today the very best appointment I've had in YEARS! Thank you so much you guys <3

Dr. John Amspaugh is one of the best physicians our family has ever been to. He is very personable and takes time to hear you out. The best thing is how he listens. You will be heard. He is a masterful diagnostician which is why you go to a doctor, isn't it? We respect him very much.

Dr Amspaugh is not only very professional, trustworthy and caring, he is also very intelligent. (He went to Yale for bachelors in chemistry!) I feel like I see the wheels turning in his head as he decides problem and treatment. I’m unsure how long I have been seeing the doctor.. it may be 2009 or 2010 so a decade and he hasn’t steered me wrong ever :)

Made a first time appointment two days in advance, I showed up early 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment only to wait 25 minutes past my appointment time to be told it'd be another 20 minutes of waiting. Staff did not think it necessary to tell a patient they would have to wait 40-50 minutes past their scheduled appointment as if people are not busy and taking time off work to make this visit. I will not be returning. Dr. Amspaugh is warm and caring, very professional and knowledgeable. I feel like I'm in the capable hands of a doctor who truly has my best interests at heart. I never feel rushed, but somehow I never have to wait long beyond my appointment time. He must have some kind of magical timepiece.

I am a 55-year-old professional businessman and I am not happy to say that I have had my visits with various doctors and clinics etc. thru the years. I can say with complete certainty that time after time Dr Amspaugh and his nurse Stephanie - have given me the most superior service I have ever received ! In a world of "hurry up" ~"where is my money " it's refreshing to experience the level of professionalism and absolute concern from Dr Amspaugh's office in Johnston. Jobs well done!!
