He misdiagnosed me as bipolar when I was only 15 without ever speaking to me, only to my parents. This led to me being physically cornered in an elevator & tricked into an ambulance & taken to Willmar Regional Treatment center where I was starved, molested & abused & kept prisoner. If I had any emotions I was tackled & injected with sedatives. I was put on heavy sedatives & treated for bipolar which I didn't have. I spend 3 months in Willmar why abusive staff who hurt me physically, sexually & emotionally. I was put on medications that made me gain 110 pounds in 3 months & turned me into a zombie. My hair fell out. Dr. Spalding told my parents I was a danger to myself & others & that I was choosing to act out & have melt downs. I was never suicidal & would never hurt anyone. If I didn't play the game to get out I'd still be there. I took drugs I knew would hurt me so I could get out. They did not help me, they hurt me. The doctors at Willmar Motto was "give drugs not hugs". I was a scared child. Maybe a hug would have helped. After having years of my life stolen due to his arrogance I sought real help. I actually have autism & adhd. And extreme PTSD from my time in Willmar which was not necessary. I was a scared child & I was thrown to the wolves. He ruined my life. Damaged me beyond repair. Do not trust your children with this doctor. This doctor doesn't want to help children. He just throws away kids he's not smart enough to help & blames them for it. Kids need love & help when they're acting out, no one else deserves what happened to me. I often imagine how different my life would have been if I had a smart compassionate doctor who actually helped me instead of hurt me & it just breaks my heart that this man's power changed the trajectory of my entire life.
