I was extremely disappointed and will not be returning. dr press did not take the time to treat me the way I would have liked, and recommended procedures I thought i did not need.

5 neuros and orthos in Chicago recommended a laminectomy to treat my severe sciatica. Dr Press gave me thorough exams, recommended injections and specialized physical therapy. No injections and I've been playing golf, shoveling snow , etc. totally pain free for over 15 uears. I was treated by Dr. Press for sciatica on several occasions over a period of ten years or more, when his office was in Chicago. He is one of the most ethical doctors I have ever worked with. His diagnosis was always accurate and I always started to feel better after the first visit. He knew exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix it. The physical therapy he prescribed was always spot on and would have me feeling 100 percent in no time. Today, when I have an issue since I can’t go to New York and see him, I see a doctor that he trained, Dr. Chu. Press is extremely un-ethical and un-professional always pushing for expensive preps and procedures. Not a good clinician in any way, very ill mannered.

Very unethical, and in my opinion and based on my observations, he is only concerned with siphoning funds from patients for his own personal needs. His clinical diagnosis has been completely wrong and has caused me more pain and anguish than anything else. I am not sure how he is part of HSS. Please stay away for your own good.

The most unethical, ill-mannered Dr. I have ever seen, he recommends and demands PRP's and procedures solely based on the co pay's and out of pocket thousands he will make on every patient. If you want to be diagnosed and helped accurately - please do yourself a favor and stay away from this man. Stay Away from him!!!!!

Joel Press continues his streak of horrible and unethical behavior and severe inept care and sole concern for money over medicine. He has been a massive reason for my continued pain, he does not return my calls and has seems to be charging me for procedures that he never performed. I am extremely unhappy with his level of care and attitude. Please stay away from this man if you value your health. Dr Press was wonderful. Spent a great deal of time with my husband explaining why he was having so much back pain and instability and went over what he could do both at PT and at home to help feel more comfortable and improve his flexibility and stability. Offered to have my husband’s PT call and speak with him and also asked my husband to call him in 6 weeks to let him know how he was feeling. I am a healthcare provider and I was very impressed with the attention Dr Press gave us. He was very thorough in his exam and as we were leaving the office my husband had a few more questions and Dr Press invited him into his office and answered all of them. Dr Press was wonderful. Joel Press does not have the ethics and morals to be allowed to treat me and treat my family. The motivation is more financial.

My experience with Joel Press was an extremely negative one. He is an extremely poor diagnostician and did not seem to care what my needs were; he did not take the time to understand my issue. The goal seemed to be he was more interested in patients for financial gains rather than their health. Highly disappointed and would never recommend to anyone.
