As Dr. Nizin and I go back many years, he knows me well! After reviewing my meds, I scheduled my colonoscopy with his kind scheduler. I trust him completely!

Besides being an excellent physician, he is a real Mench!!

Dr. Nizen is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in all aspects of my visit with him and with my colonoscopy procedure. Dr. Nizen was referred to me by my previous colon-rectal surgeon who was unable to remove a polyp in an extremely difficult area. Dr. Nizen performed all necessary procedures. I trust him and feel comfortable continuing with him as my doctor.

He is the best doctor in the world! He does not rush to operate. He is so caring and knows exactly what he’s doing! He saved my life.!!!

Dr. Nizin was kind, patient and extremely thorough. He even came in early to fit me into the schedule as recommended by my Oncologist. His bedside manner both in the office and during surgery was excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Nizin.

Dr. Joel Nizin has been my Colon/Rectal doctor for the past 15 or so years. I have consistently found him to be professional, highly skilled, knowledgeable approachable, and friendly. I feel completely comfortable in his care and highly recommend him for colonoscopies or surgery if required. Dr. Nizin performed highly successful colon cancer surgery on my Mom 20+ years ago and she is still going strong at 89. He is the BEST I have found!

Outstanding doctor and surgeon, very caring. Dr Nizin takes the time to explain what he is doing and has the confidence brought on by years of success. The surgical center in Ridgewood has a very friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend him.

He is a great doctor but I have had major problems dealing with his staff. Billing issues and incorrect diagnosis codes provided, which resulted facility and anesthesia bills for a 100% insurance -covered colon cancer screening. This is why I won’t recommend him as I’ve been dealing with the fallout from this for 6 months. Then, a rude comment from a member of his surgical center today when I called regarding *another* bill— “why do people expect free screenings?” Are you kidding me?!?!

Dr Nizin seems like a good doctor however, I cannot seem to get a call back or resolution after 4 tries and 3 months. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with a $3,000 colonoscopy bill that even my insurance company says should be covered and coded as 'high risk' based on my cancer in the rectovaginal septum and the effects of 4500 cGys received in that area.

I was referred to Dr. Nizin due to the fact that the gastroenterologist who performed a colonoscopy on me was unable to complete the procedure. Apparently I have a "loopy" colon. A second colonoscopy was not a pleasant proposition. Upon the recommendation of the original physician, I consulted with Dr. Nizin . His prep, while not pleasant, was highly effective. Due to Dr. Nizin's advanced level of expertise,the procedure was successfully completed.I highly recommend Dr. Nizin.

Dr. Nizin was the goods. I hate colonoscopies, but he made it very manageable. A true professional!!

He is by far the best. I even have had a colonoscopy without sedation. Best of the best. Not in my plan and I don't care, going to him anyway.
