Joel D Jacowitz

Joel Jacowitz is an arrogant surly little man who clearly despises patient questions, makes no eye contact with his patients, does not ensure doctor patient privacy, and can’t wait to get rid of you during the appointment. My husband has Afib and at the last appointment Jacowitz didn’t even examine him, no less offer any cordiality when he entered the room. We were horrified. I have complained for years about his egregious comportment and demeanor to all the physicians we deal with at Hackensack Pascack Valley Medical Associates. He is leaving as per a note we received today. Good riddance.

Both I am my husband are happy with the care of Dr. Jacowitz, re. our heart issues.

I am a patient of Dr Jackovitz for many years and I would recommend him to anyone who is dealing with heart problems. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. He always answered my questions and gave good recommendations. He is very pleasant, tactful with good bedside manner’s. I don’t remember weather I needed wait too long for his office appointments. He was always on time. He cares about patient well being and takes time to listen. I felt always relax and comfortable while visiting his office. Definitely if you need good cardiologist, Dr Joel Jackovitz is the one to see.

Scheduled periodic meeting & assessment of medical condition & current physical status in conjunction with prescribed medicaments.

I've never been to a cardiologist before so the experience to say the least was daunting. However, Dr. Jacowitz put me right at ease. He's obviously very experienced and an expert at his specialty, and I felt that I was in totally good hands. Who can ask for anything more?

I have been a patient of Dr Jacowitz since 2014. He saved my life, as I was facing an imminent fatal cardiac emergency. His patient care manner and professionalism are truly what should be expected of a physician.

I have battled high blood pressure for years and Dr. Jackowitz has been able to keep it under control with various medications.

The nurse was very supportive of my wellbeing as she stuck my right index finger to draw a droplet of blood,which did not hurt at all. My consultation with Dr. Jackowitz was informative and we made arrangements for my next visit in late September. Antoinette,Desk consultant,helped me as I made an appointment. This medical practice comes highly recommended by me.

The worst doctors visit I ever had. There was no examination and told me to continue doing what I was doing. That didn't work. I decided to see another Cardiologist who changed my regiment of medications and was able to see a big change and ultimately fixed my problem within days. I came away from Dr. Jacowitz office visit that he really had no interest in treating me. Arrogant and no compassion or bedside manner at all. He seemed annoyed that I was asking too many questions. I would never recommend Dr. Jacowitz. I think he needs to retire.

Prompt care. Very short wait time. Felt he understood my health issue. I'm a first time client and new to NJ. Not the best time to change doctors and states - during a pandemic. I am totally satisfied and grateful for the care. Office staff is so empathetic. 5 stars all around.

Friendly professional service

Doctor Jackowitz is the guy I trust with all things cardiac. I always feel like he’s in control. Listens to me just like he listens to my heart ! Recommend him in a heartbeat!

I picked one star because zero was not an option. I joined my mother for an appointment where she needed to understand why she needed a pace maker. He was short, rude, didn’t take the time or care to help her understand her condition. He was annoyed with questions. I would not recommend him.

I'm a 40-something year-old man with two young children. I literally owe my life to Dr. Jacowitz. I had two very large aortic aneurysms that Rd. Jacowitz discovered before they ruptured. If it wasn't for him I probably would not be here today.

Wow. Thank goodness the test I took today showed I did not need a cardiologist, but if I did at least I would know who NOT to choose. His arrogance and lack of bedside manner even had his nurse rolling her eyes. When he told ME to tell my internist that she was wasting time and money with the tests she was ordering, even the nurse said to him 'Why don't you do it?' He stated it wasn't worth the call. Time to retire and do something you enjoy, Doc, cause it sure isn't this anymore...

Very friendly and informative. I would not have any problems recommending Dr. Jacowitz to anyone in need of a cardiologist.

Very professional, easy to talk to. Like a friend. In full control of the situation which makes you confident that your in good hands. I wish he was my primary doctor. Came to help me when I needed him fast. Exceptional Doctor I was lucky to find thru a friend. Fred Newman
