Dr. Franck is a life saver. Literally. He is the only surgeon I would want to touch my neck. He is incredibly intelligent; he cares about his patients, and he takes his time explaining things to you. Dr. Franck, did an amazing job on my C1 C2 spinal fusion he performed after a major car accident that left me with debilitating migraines! I would certainly recommend him to anyone who is Experiencing any type of neck pain or discomfort. He is amazing, and his staff is second to none!!!:-) and just a few short hours outpatient surgery he was able to give me my life back! He has performed two surgeries on me with excellent results. I would definitely recommend him to others! He's thorough and will spend as much time as needed with you and answer all your questions.

Though my case is still in the courts, I can give you a quick version of how I came to need Dr. Franck and Pam and what they did for me. I do want to first explain that most of this information is as described from my notebooks during the time as well as from my husband (I still have incomplete and nondescript memories from the time the accident happened to surgery and a little thereafter). TLDR at bottom. I was hit by a semi in my Kia Soul and flipped off the interstate. In the days/weeks after: My left hand stopped working. I felt spacey and fuzzy and unable to focus. I felt like everything was going in slow motion, and I couldn't remember anything. My head and neck always hurt, like constant headaches. Lights and sounds were excruciating. I was in a perpetual fog. I went through various therapies including chiro, physical therapy, massage, etc. Those opportunities helped a little bit, but I still wasn't me. I was still having a lot of neurological issues that nothing was helping (including a weird tick in my face). Then, we found Dr. Franck and Pam! This was my last resort (for obvious reasons. I mean, nobody really looks forward to being opened up and drilled on). I had a bunch of problems, some of which we were already aware of from working with neurologists and medical professionals up to this point: whiplash, instability, cerebellar tonsillar ectopia, cerebrospinal fluid obstruction, neurological dysfunction... a bunch of stuff. What it came down to was this: C1-C2 fused/screwed together, suboccipital craniectomy and decompression, etc. The healing process was not easy, to say the least, but it was nowhere near as excruciating as I thought it was going to be. I do remember having issues trying to figure out a comfy way to sleep. So, back at home, we rented a recliner and I slept in that until I felt comfortable enough to lie in the bed. These days, those neurological issues and headaches from the problems in my neck/skull are resolved. I do still have other issues that need to be worked out, but they’re not in Dr. Franck’s field (psychological, emotional, etc.). Though I do have to live with this accident and the results for the rest of my life, I truly could not be happier with the outcome of the surgery; it really is a new lease on life. As for bedside manner, attitude, personality, etc. I never had a problem. Dr. Franck and Pam were warm, welcoming, patient, and kind. I felt very comfortable with them. They never had any issues with answering my questions whether in-person, by text, or by email. They were there the whole way, including just before surgery! They came in, we all talked (including my husband and father, who were there for support). As for the other hot topics: Wait times were quick, in my opinion. I never waited very long to be seen at all. Dr. Franck and Pam were always very thorough with their explanations and very patient with me and my husband. I truly looked forward to each appointment because I would always get a detailed analysis of my x-ray or MRI or DMX. TLDR: Excellent experience. Highly recommend. Dr. Franck has given me a new lease on life. Before surgery I was in severe pain with headaches that woke me up in the middle of the night. After surgery, I've had no pain. He explained the procedure and recovery, thoroughly. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is happy to spend time going over all medical aspects of the surgery. His NP Pamela Perrin was available at all times for any questions or concerns. The travel was well worth the outcome. I had very little pain after surgery and had an easy recovery. Incredible Neurosurgeon!

Though my case is still in the courts, I can give a quick version: I was hit by a semi. Problems that couldn't be solved with other med pros: neuro fog, headaches, and more. Surgery: c1-c2 fusion and suboccipital craniectomy/decompression. Results: Neuro issues and headaches resolved. I could not be happier with the outcome! Dr. Franck and Pam were warm, welcoming, patient, and kind. We could text, email, call, or chat in-person and they never made me feel rushed or like I couldn't ask questions. Answers were always exactly what I needed. Wait times were quick, in my opinion. I never waited long, if at all. Explanations were thorough and fascinating! I looked forward to coming in for checks because of the detailed analysis of the x-ray, MRI, and/or DMX (very cool stuff!). TLDR: Excellent experience. Highly recommend!

THINK LONG AND HARD before you decide to use this guy! Check reviews in Panama City. Saw Dr. Frank years ago in Panama City Beach. Wait times in office could easily be 4 hours. Ended up with emergency surgery, came out of recovery and the guy that brought me back to my room told me to get over in my bed by spider crawling. That afternoon I noticed electrifying pain, ankle was buckling when I got up. MRI the next morning showed RE-HERNIATED. Dr.Frank did 2nd surgery on the 2nd day. He took out almost the entire and put nothing in it's place! He left me like this, I saw him numerous times. Ended up on disability at 46 yrs. old.After about 1 year of god awful pain I went to a new Dr., 3rd surgery. Surgical report says that it looked like Dr.Frank had started a fusion but NOT COMPLETED IT!! I ending up having to have 4 fused because it had done a domino effect. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM!! Am very glad he left our area, but feel very sorry for the people in new area!!! THINK TWICE FOLKS!!

Dr Franck saved my life! After years of Drs, searching and no answers he was able to tell me what was wrong! He then did surgery to fix it! I am so thankful and blessed to have met Dr Franck!

I had to have a 2nd surgery because Dr. Franck missed a bone with one of the screws placed at C1/C2. I'm still suffering in pain every day because of my decision to let Dr. Franck operate on me several years ago. I would run as far away from him as you can.

Dr. Franck preformed a c1/c2 fusion on me several years ago & it was & is a complete disaster. He installed a screw on both sides of my neck. One of the screws actually was placed in the wrong spot & was hitting a nerve causing severe pain. Because of this pain I had to have another surgeon remove the screw. Please, please don't let this guy touch you. He is the worst of the worst & should not practice medicine in my opinion.

My name is Anthony Willingham and This man saved my life, simply put. After years of migraine and cluster headaches. Not to mention my brain was resting on the base of my skull and C-1,2and3 were shot, I believe God sent me his way. On November 4th 2014 Dr. Franck worked his magic on me. Today is October 27th 2016 and I gratefully and humbly report ZERO headaches, not even a hint of one coming on. I consider him a major part of my life and the reason I'm still here. It gets no better! My quality of life is amazing again .. also if you don't know what "brain fog" is, Google it lol...it's gone too.... I had debilitating pain in the head, drop attacks, walking issues, cognitive issues, etc. In 2014 Dr Franck not only figured out the reasons for these issues (major instability in the C1 and other disks, herniated cerebellum, etc) he gave me hope. I had two major surgeries in 2014 to correct everything. I was walking again two days after the first one!! Pam was a God send as well. Except for the surgery staff, one aid and a few other rare exceptions the administration and staff at Bay Medical were subpar. I'm happy Dr Franck found a new location. As for me...unless I'm granted another miracle I'll always have pain from the other injuries sustained from the whiplash; however, I've been given a new lease on life! I do not recommend this doctor. He did my back surgery and sent me home with no antibiotics no pain meds no physical therapy. I ended up having fluids running out my back which he did nothing until a month later when I ended up with a second surgery which showed I had mersa. I endorsed four months of a pick line to have iv meds 4 times a day. I live my now in chronic pain and have to depend on others for help. Please get a second opinion.

After 10 years of pain and symptoms I FINALLY found a doctor who has access to a DMX and Upright MRI. I have only seen Dr. Franck on 1 visit and I was impressed. He was finally able to explain my cervical problem and give me an accurate diagnosis. He spent 3hrs with me. I find that remarkable. He was worth every penny. He was frank, precise and explained my scans in great detail. He even explained what would be involved in surgery. I am grateful to finally have answers.

Scheduled an appointment for my mother. Explained that we were flying in from fort lauderdale for this appointment and could not get a refund for flight. Was assured an apointment. Few days prior to the appointment they called to reschedule the apointment. So i was out $867. For 2 tickets. I was interested in seeing this dr for the what i feel was a made up story on the amanda bennett case. Dr Franck is a wonderful person and an excellent Surgeon. He's kind, caring and polite to his patients and staff.

He spent a great deal of time going over my history, doing a physical exam and reviewing all of my images. He went through the images and helped me understand what is wrong and how he could fix it. Dr. Franck is extremely thorough and understanding. He truly cares for his patients and wants to help them. I am so glad I finally found a doctor who didn't just tell me no.

The best Dr. ever. I live in Alabama and drove to Panama City especially for his services. After having a constant migraine headache for 2 1/2 years with no relief from other Dr.'s, he new exactly what the problem was. Fixed it through surgery and I now have a life again without constant pain.

Dr. Franck has helped me when even Mayo Clinic could not. The C4-C7 fusion has made all the difference in my life. It took me 4 years to find an answer that lead me to Dr. Franck. I highly recommend him.
