I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ackerman for several years. I can’t say enough about this practice.You won’t find a more caring doctor who really listens to you and works hard to put you at ease. The staff is efficient and demonstrates the same level of concern and caring. Highly recommend.

Very competent. Treated me with respect which has recently been absent at several medical encounters from other offices, providers, ER. Previous treatment was as expected and explained to me. Much appreciated. Would heartily recommend this office and personnel to anyone.

Dr Ackerman is a very intelligent, goodhearted person & was very easy to speak with. Dr Ackerman took more than the time that u normally would get with most Drs in today's world, when meeting him for the first time. I was impressed by my entire experience with Dr. Ackerman. My check in process was efficient and the front desk staff person was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. As a nurse for many years- hence my bad back- I know what type of treatment works to manage my pain. Dr. Ackerman listened to me, he was very professional and he came up with a plan of care that met my needs. I definitely would recommend him to family and friends if they ever needed a pain management physician.

The front staff is very nice. I’ve been going to Dr. Ackerman for seven years and the staff is great. I’ve been to other pain doctors and Dr. Ackerman is superior by far. He really cares about his patience. He takes his time and really listens to your problems and comes up with solutions.

I have seen Dr. Ackerman a couple times in the last 3 years. He listens well & appears interested in eradicating or managing a patient’s pain. The nurses & staff at St Luke’s office are caring & professional. I trust the help I get through Dr. Ackerman & his assistants.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ackerman’s for about 10 years now. He is a kind, caring and compassionate doctor, who has helped me to have a better quality of life. Over the years, I have had many procedures including epidurals and nerve ablations. Dr. Ackerman is always gentle with the procedures and calming in his bedside manner. I highly recommend for your pain management needs.

Very nolagable and careing takes care of the problem fast with no doubt great doctor

At the age of 73, after bilateral ankle, knee, hip and back surgeries, I have a lot of pain. Dr. Ackerman's treatments have helped a lot.

I was on opiates for years until I switched Doctors. Dr Ack fixed in 3 months what another pain doctor couldn't in years. Dr Raza Jafri is a drug dealer. I decided I wanted a real life. Would rather be in pain and got more than I asked for. I'm pain free almost everyday and manage my pain with other techniques I discussed with the Dr as an alternative to pain meds. My life is completely different because I made the choice to change doctors. You should be allowed to do that. The office almost would not see me. It's not up to them who I choose as my doctor. 2 pain docs in my entire life is not switching around doctors.. terrible office staff, great doctors nurses and techs. Most will treat you suspiciously but I had good reason and was not. I was treated with respect. Unlike when Washington Muro told me I was faking 2 herniated discs. In jail now I think. So the only person in medical field that hasnt treated me like a drug addict was Ackerman. 3 years 0 treatment. 0 meds.

I initially went to Dr. Ackerman because he had good reviews. I was diagnosed with a herniated disk. I am on disability and have a VERY limited income and told the doctor so. Dr. Ackerman prescribed a pain block shot which had me excited to not be in pain anymore. That's where my excitement ends. I was told that I needed 300 UP FRONT and that wasn't including what the Dr. would charge me. He also suggested I go to the ER when the pain got too great because he couldn't get me in FOR WEEKS. Which I did. That was a another charge I can't afford and was not helped, AT ALL. I wound up playing phone tag with Rhonda and when I left another number for them to contact me, they ignored it. He only cares about covering his own backside and NOT about helping his patients. VERY disappointed that I STILL have to be in pain and have to continue the hunt for a Dr. that wants to help. I'm not holding my breath. I do NOT recommend this Dr.

I found Dr Ackerman to be thorough, helpful, and a really good listener. He has some excellent ideas to help me battle my pain. In addition he is just a really nice Dr. who is very approachable. I will definitely recommend him to others. I recently told my primary care physician about him and I think she will recommend him to her patients in need.

Highly recommend Dr. Ackerman, he and his staff were great, very kind and caring, he went above and beyond to help get me in to get pain relief.

I will give Dr Ackerman credit for his bedside manner. I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted at the end of March 2019. I had to have it replaced by a neurosurgeon 7 months later. The neurosurgeon straight up said, “ he put it in the wrong place”. The scs bulged out of my back, 3 of the 4 leads were not even working, there wasnt an offer of PT and he never once even looked at the incision’s to see how they were healing. Dr Ackerman may do okay with prescribing pain meds but, as far as surgery goes, stick with a neurosurgeon!

I brought a family member in to my first appointment with Ackerman and he was extremely irritable and walked out when my mother asked him a question. I have no idea what happened and it takes such a long time to get into pain management that it’s aggravating when a doctor behaves this way

I have fibromyalgia and was dismissed by this doctor. He had no empathy or compassion. I would not recommend him.

I have had 26 surgeries on my knees and ankles and I'm in chronic pain. This doctor would not prescribe me any sort of pain medicine let alone even see me as a patient. But yet he sees my sister and helps her out. I ask to talk to him on the phone and he wouldn't even talk to me on the phone.

He is one of the most caring physicians I have ever seen. He takes time to get to know you as a person and to explain the underlying causes of your pain. I would rate his competence level as exceptional. Due to his treatments, I have been able to avoid invasive spinal surgery despite my significant spinal stenosis.

Dr. Ackerman is my new pain management doctor. Being a nurse it I important to have a treat me plan and keep things communicated with my other physicians. Dr.Ackerman listened and respected my plan to have my neurosurgeon give me an ok for injections. I trust my neurosurgeon and have a great relationship. Dr. Ackerman without judgement was supportive and as soon as I got the ok I was getting my injection in 3 days. There is more trust in 2 visits with him than years at my previous provider.

Dr. Ackerman has been excellent with my back pain. He is kind, considerate, patient and very willing to go the extra mile to help his patient. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Ackerman has a pleasant bedside manner,he is informative of your condition,listens well to your concerns and questions. I truly felt with his kindness and knowledge that I could trust him.
