Dr Kirby is knowledgeable & listens to her patients. She has fabulous bedside manner & I always enjoy our conversations. She’s so easy to talk to.

Dr. Kirby was by far the most disappointing doctor I have ever met with. I saw her after months of being unable to reach my doctor at another practice and after falling sick in March 2020. At my first visit, Dr. Kirby immediately dismissed my issues before I could explain my medical history. I had to beg her to listen to me. It was incredibly demeaning and she chalked up my issues to "anxiety." Over the following 3 months while experiencing neurological and physical issues that I've never experienced in my life, Dr. Kirby consistently brushed aside my voice. I was told things like I wasn't trying hard enough in tests and to "go elsewhere" rather than address my continued symptoms and feelings of being rushed through visits. Important information never made it in to my file. It was so demeaning and medical gaslighting was so intense that I sought therapy. All I can do is attribute her disappointing care to refusing to consider the subjective perspective of the patient or having some other personal issue in her life that spilled over into her providing care, but I don't know. To this day I regret ever seeing Dr. Kirby and I'm still contemplating filing a complaint with Northwestern. It was such a horrible experience that I dread seeing her name. I give 2 stars only because she called me once when I forgot I had an appointment. There are hundreds of doctors out there who will listen to and respect you as a patient far better than Dr. Kirby. Avoid Kirby at all cost. I went in for an annual physical. The exam was inadequate and many steps were skipped. She was rude, dismissive of my concerns and uncaring. My labs came back with elevated numbers, she sent a message and said they looked good. I replied asking about this and again was dismissed. This is absolutely not acceptable -

Dr Kirby was my Doctor from 2005 through 2012. She was Cordial and efficient. I had to leave because of my mobility issues out of state. B

Dismissive and rude. Not helpful and acted as if my questions were an imposition. Not going back.

Dr. Kirby is competent but is brusque. She reveals her impatience with weight issues and appears to be unable to consider psychological issues or have depth of understanding of people. She seems to believe she knows more than her patients about any medical concern and does not show respect or that she might have something to learn. If you want a doctor who follows the script and doesn't have an open mind she will be fine - usually on time with appointments.

I would rather be sick than see this doctor again. I found her to be unempathic, insulting, demeaning. She was rushed and didn't seem to take seriously my complaints, even though two physicians had advised me to have a particular test done. She didn't agree and argued w/me the necessity. I insisted having trust in my docs. Although I wasn't well, it frightens me to think that someone seriously ill or unable to have the efficacy to stand up for themselves in the case of an arrogant doctor.

Great doctor. Clear and direct.

Dr. Kirby is an amazing physician. She's direct, competent and truly caring doctor. I have faith and trust in her.

I am so very happy to have found Dr. Kirby. Her bedside manner is amazing and she takes the time to discuss issues, and treats you like a person not a patient number.

Dr. Kirby is awesome, she listens and let you explain what’s bothering you and why you need her assistance. She evaluates your medical history with you and sincerely cares about your well being. I am going to recommend her services to all my family and friends.

Do not waste your time and money seeing this "physician." She was rude, dismissive, spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me, and told me my worries about having torn my knee for a 6th time (I have had 5 major surgeries on my knee) were not valid, as she felt nothing was wrong with it. She proceeded to deny me an MRI, which my physician had requested she order, as "MRIs don't fix knees." Shocker. I somehow thought an MRI machine magically, surgically fixed knees! Rude and ignorant.

I am so very happy to have found Dr. Kirby. She takes her time with you and you never feel rushed. She listens to all my symptoms with empathy and considerations. I went to see her recently feeling as sick and miserable as I have ever felt in my life. She prescribed meds and led me through it. Within 5 days I was feeling good again and within 2 weeks I was myself again. I went for a follow up visit and thanked her. She has given me my life back. I am so very happy to have found Dr. Kirby. I really like Dr Kirbys bedside manner. She is incredibly honest and if you ask her a question. You will get a straight answer. Not everyone can handle brutal honesty but that is exactly the kind of dr I want! She will spend as long as you need talking through things and I never feel rushed out.

She is extremely rude and seems unconcerned about patient care. She prescribes medication and then forgets what prescriptions she prescribes. Every visit, she seemed rushed and lacked overall attention to detail and concern. I would not recommend this physician to anyone. I woyld truly question her medical credentials & expertise!

Extremely negligent and does not appear to care about her patients. Contacted multiple times without reply. When asked for assistance and resources for our elderly family member, her reply was that's not possible and she cannot be saved. We are a family who works in health care and know this to be untrue. Other than her age and deconditioning, she is not actively dying of disease. Shame on this physician for writing off an elderly patient. This is someone who should not be in practice.

Beside the fact that this doctor had no bedside manner - she didn't speak much to me, never followed up and when I called to find out my diagnosis she had an assistant call me back to say "Just wait a few weeks to see how you feel," and refused to speak with me, the rest of the office turned out to be evil as well. They seemed very nice and accommodating on the day of my appointment but when I called to follow up on test results and had the non-answer from my doctor they apologized but then never followed through. After 5 calls to various managers, some horrible woman named Pauline was completely rude on the phone, not listening to my concern or question and giving me answers that didn't mean anything. I would NEVER go to this particular practice again which is unfortunate because there may be fine doctors there but the service I was given was appalling considering the $964 bill for no diagnosis.
