Initially I was unsure about going to Dr. Devray based on some of the previous reviews from others. I am glad, I followed my own instincts. Dr. Dervay is very supportive and has shown genuine concern for me. She is straight forward, no nonsense type of person, who is also very kind and encouraging with a good heart.

My experience with this provider was great because she is very knowledgeable, she was able to answer any questions I asked, gave good advise for the problem I was experiencing. She is a very good listener. I would recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Dervay is treating me for a condition I was first diagnosed with in New York in 1998. Dr. Dervay provided counseling on nutrition and exercises along with prolia which has resulted in improved bone density for the first time. Thank you Dr. Dervay!

Been going to Dr. Dervay for at least ten years and she continues to be the rudest Dr I have ever seen. She comes in with a chip on her shoulder and tries to put her rudeness off on me. Dr. Dervay should be ashamed of her behavior. She is extremely unprofessional and condescending. My experience was that she didn't truly care about me or want to help me. She was definitely steering me in the direction that helps her financially and not in my best interest. She really should be worried that her behavior is criminal. I wonder if someone has sued her for her irresponsible behavior. She does not abide by the hippocratic oath. She is a worker's comp doctor and she gets paid to say there is nothing wrong with you even with a MRI that clearly shows many issues. Her waiting room is full of worker's comp patients. I would steer clear of her and this practice for hiring her.. I never write reviews but felt like I needed to warn others of her behavior. Any doctor is a better choice. The Kempsville Pain Management office is very poorly marked and difficult to find the entry. I spent 20 minutes trying to find the office.

♥ I am a new Patient of Dr. Dervays (Jan 2019) and I must say, I was VERY apprehensive about seeing her after reading the reviews online. I just moved to Virginia Beach from Pa in Aug 2018 and never experienced what I've have experienced here in Virginia in regards to Pain Management. It's TOTALLY DIFFERENT. She had to review my records before she decided to have me as a Patient. Mind you, this took several months which really upset me; however, after seeing her for a few visits, I was PLEASANTLY surprised as to how 'professional' and 'thorough' she was with regards to gathering all the information in regards to my medical history. She's very DIRECT and UPFRONT, no doubt about that, but she is an AMAZING Doctor in my opinion. She treats all her PATIENTS the SAME, so if you in there trying to misrepresent yourself in any way, believe me, I'm sure she'll recognize it. Nevertheless, she realized that I am seeing her for many health issues and she's treating me accordingly. Ole bones McGhee is a disrespectful, miserable crackpot. Avoid!!! What a sad excuse for a human. Here's an idea! How about you update that 40 year old GlamorShots headshot you have up everywhere? At least something from the 2k era. That way we can brace ourselves for the visual assault among others horrors that we will be stepping into when we get to your office. You seem to be all about your own appearance, so update your image at the very least and quit with the deception at least in that regard. That would be a good first step toward reality. I suggest she not skip her next lunch and insult her next overweight pain patient, and feed her soul and body as well in some fashion. Both are in desperate need of nourishment. Clearly both are being starved to a dangerous and concerning level. I'm shocked that none of her colleagues has confronted this "doctor." On any of her own personal issues to be honest. Patients: for your own safety, do not allow her to do any "exam" without a witness present! I'd more classify it as an assault. That is how it felt to me and I was sore for over a week afteward too. She was vicious with me. But clearly she's getting away with murder in there. So who would believe me anyway? I bet nobody! Protect yourself. Get a nurse/witness. Dr. Dervay was a condescending and rude human being to me. It was my first and only experience I'll ever have with her. I know doctors feel important as they should. However, making a patient feel degraded and beneath her. This is not an important person to me. Having been a patient with Atlantic Orthopedic for almost 7 years under the excellent care of Dr. Eric Mein, and only having to see Dr. Dervay due to the early retirement of Dr. Mein. I can not stress enough my utter disappointment in this physician I was forced to accept due to being a self pay patient. I never felt like a charity case with Dr. Mein. I guess this practice or at least this physcian is less interested with care and more interested in cost. I am an abused patient of a very bad, gone wrong failed Fusion Surgery in August of 2006. I do not hold this practice responsible for my bad surgery for which they did not perform. I hold out that review for Dr. Felix Kerwin. There is however a physcian on staff at Atlantic Orthopedic that did review my Post opt M.R. I. Dr. Clifford. He told me that the surgery that had been done was "old school ". He went on to say. " The job had been done by a Quack!" I ask you. How often do you hear a doctor say that? I am in far more pain today than I have ever been including before the surgery. Amazing doctor.

I’ve been a patient for 6 years. Dr. Dervay is a good physician; she cares about the substance of my pain management and overall health more than just prescribing pain medication. She has taken extra time with me on several occasions to discuss items not related to pain management. From the first appt I did not like her. I found her to be extremely rude. My previous pain management doctor retired that was in the same practice and she decided to change my course of treatment that I had been on for years. I tried to explain why it worked for me but she didn't care. Sometimes I would get confused or respond slowly on movements she'd ask me to do and she would become very frustrated and annoyed with me.

I feel Dr. Dervay is a lousy doctor for pain management she doesn’t follow through with what she says her bedside manner leaves little to be desired I feel she did more harm than good with me and she likes to withhold your medication as punishment so be careful

Very impressed with the level of care and time taken to ensure proper testing is scheduled for meds prescribed as well as a battery of questions to ascertain vital information. THE most throrough visit I have ever had and I very much appreciate the high standard of care. A true professional looking to solve the problem. I am very impressed!

This could be depending on what brings you to her office, but she immediately assumes you are just trying to get pain meds from her. I have low back issues and am fairly young, so she was immediately accusatory about previous doctor visits, getting prescriptions filled at different pharmacies. All she did was poke around for a minute and send me to PT. Which helped but not long term. She is rude, condescending and will write things in your medical record to stop other doctors from seeing you

Dr. Dervay is rude, condescending, and appears to have the medical skills equivalent to Jiffy Lube. Avoid referring anyone you care about.

Dr Dervay was not only helpful but compassionate Took the time to listen advised alternatives to medicine suggested therapy massage yoga other ways that some patients find success with. Since I work crazy hours I was unfortunately not a good candidate for that. She did prescribe me tramadol for pain and didn't make me feel like I was just there for medicine. She suggested a cervical epidermal injection which helped tremendously. I highly recommend Dr Dervay
