If you have a choice and if Dr Walker can accept you, there is an excellent chance you will live longer. I was diagnosed May 2011 with Primary Peritoneal Cancer, which is related to ovarian cancer. Dr Walker performed the debunking surgery July 2011, and began chemo Sept 2011. The study enrolled me into 15 months of weekly then monthly IV infusions. My original referring gynecologist gave me 2 yrs. Dr Walker was hoping to make me one of her 5 yr ladies. This date is March 2020, and I am still healthy and strong at 67 yrs old. Needless to say Dr Walker and her staff have earned my highest rating and respect. They are professional and caring. Do not expect them to become your best friend. You don’t need best friends. Dr. Joan Walker gave my Mom encouragement,, hope, and sound medial attention. My Mom lived an additional 25+ years. Dr. Walker was an angel and even though I've never met her in person, I am so grateful for her. God bless Dr. Joan Walker.
