If I could I would not give any stars. I went into the clinic and was treated very well by the office staff and by the panel of doctors that looked at my shoulder to do the review. One thing I would like to note is that if you are working with workman's comp they are absolutely going to take their side even though they are supposed to stand up for the patient. When I received my review letter of appeal I was shocked and how they totally excited and lied about the state of my condition. I feel discriminated because of the statement that my condition was age-related. My surgery with not a to related I fell at work. They made statements about issues like a motor vehicle accident and an accident that was unrelated to my surgery that happened in 2010. I was shocked at the picture that they painted of me in their findings that even though I told them I went to physical therapy they were painting it like I never went and that all of this pain that I went through for almost two years was something I could tolerate. I'm just appalled that all of the doctors I saw were so cold towards my injury and what I had to tolerate for two years and the fact that they used medical findings about me to paint this bad picture about me and use it against me. These people always go the extra mile, above and beyond what I expect, they always accommodate me even when I am confused, they will make sure I understand things above my head. Dr. Takacs office was exceptionally rude to me from an unknown reason. I was yelled at for entering the office on my second visit by the front desk staff, and I had followed all the covid procedures they asked me to do. They then asked me to fill out forms that I had already completed in an aggressive tone. When I questioned the DR about why her staff was rude, she retaliated against my by putting false information in my medical chart notes- and also made unprofessional slanderous statements about me in her chart notes. Mind you I am a patient who went to her office to ask for help, and was yelled at by her staff. I politely filled out the form to amend my medical record to take out factually incorrect statements and DR refused. I have filed a complaint with Oregon Medical Board.

She refused to correct factually incorrect information in my medical notes after asking. She made unprofessional retaliatory comments about my personal character in my chart notes when I asked her why her staff was being so aggressive- she refused to amend such remarks from my medical chart notes when asked. I was yelled at by her staff for arriving to my appointment for no reason even though I followed all the rules. Dr Joan herself was dismissive of my case completely and actually recommended I do physical therapy with heavy weights which would have injured and aggravated my injury further. I have filed a complaint with the Oregon Medical Board. I also saw another Dr who told me that her recommendation for my injury was "idiotic". Over all her staff are bullies and so is she. She has no integrity and no professionalism. I did not feel she intended to actually help me in any way.

Dr. John always goes above and beyond. After years of Zoomcare trying to get me in and out as soon as possible it's refreshing to have an old-school doctor who is generous with this time and knowledge.

If I could give 0 stars I would, which is about as many *ucks as Joan has for her patients. DO NOT go to her for a worker's comp claim! She intentionally misdiagnosed me with a lesser issue than actual. Then she closed the claim without talking with me. When I applied to have the "new or withheld" condition added Joan did not side with me, her client. She is a drone for corporate SAIF! Exceptional holistic care and very kind helpful staff.

My experience was negative and overall rate it a zero. I saw Dr. Joan Takacs on 4/16/20. It was a horrible visit. I felt rushed to leave, and personally, felt that my visit was severely unprofessional and lacked integrity. Other unsettling items were lack of overall comfort and safety at the facility. I did not feel safe during examinations; the clinic looks less than welcoming; and honestly, the clinic mirrored that of an abandoned environment. To say the least, there are many areas of improvements this clinic and its staff need to make.

I do not recommend this clinic and I wish I could go back in time and never have gone here myself. I saw Dr. Joan Takacs in 2016 and was treated by her and her therapist, Andy, for chronic debilitating neck pain. I had 2-3 appointments with Joan. She made big promises from the start and said that with her treatment, I'd have a full recovery. Her treatments were uncomfortable and always flared my neck pain. I told her that treatments increased my pain, but she didn't seem to adjust her treatments with that information. I saw her therapist Andy twice, first for an initial consult and then for our first full treatment visit. I was skeptical of Andy from the beginning. I just didn't trust him. In my second appointment, he had me go through a series of yoga poses. I was only into the 2-3 pose when he asked me to do a movement that I knew would immediately trigger a pain spike. It was the one movement, I told him I knew I couldn't do and we'd need to work around. He insisted and I held back. After lots of his persistence, I gave in. I then began to do it and immediately, my neck pain spiked to a 8/10. I stopped and started crying because I was so frustrated and felt so pressured to do something I knew wasn't safe. Andy then asked me to come sit by him to talk. He then proceeded to talk to me about fear and that I needed to let go of fear if I was going to experience healing. I tried to explain to him that this fear was my body sounding the alarm that this movement wasn't safe, that I'd experienced this exact things hundreds of times. He didn't believe me. He then asked me a series of very personal and honestly invasive questions. He then proceeded to tell me that maybe I was harboring a wound from an ancestor and this was why I was in pain. I waited a second, and found that he was in fact serious. I was furious, but mostly shocked at the words coming out of his mouth. I was so insulted. The tears welled up and I could feel a panic attack coming on. I didn't feel safe in his care. I wrapped up the visit and ran out and had a good cry in my car. I then cancelled all outstanding appointments. Looking back, I wish I hadn't let him pressure me to do something I knew wasn't safe. I wish I had spoken up more. I've learned that now. People in pain, people with illness are in an incredibly vulnerable position. We need help and we rely on medical professionals to care for us. We trust them. Dr. Joan and Andy not only violated that trust, but Andy's words and behavior wounded me that day and triggered not only more neck pain, but an overwhelming wave of panic knowing I wasn't believed. This is in direct conflict of what medical professionals pledge "do no harm." On the flip side, I've since found my voice and frequently think back on this experience as the last time I didn't. Now I know that it's my body, my choice and that deserves to be heard, believed and respected. I do not recommend this clinic and I wish I could go back in time and never have gone here myself. Experts in their specialty. I trust them for my care. They have stayed the course and continue to offer humanistic medicine despite challenges with our healthcare system in the US.

She may be good to people who are not on a worker's comp case, but will close yours without listening to a word you say if you are on one.

I see Dr Joan for my chiropractic needs and she is awesome! Very friendly, going above and beyond on several occasions for my family. We love her and Dr John.

Dr. Takacs is amazing. I had a PCP that retired so I had established with a new one close to my house. I was trying to get an MRI and a surgery approved and it was taking months to get anything done. I had seen Dr. Takacs as a physiatrist a few years back and remembered she said she could be my PCP if I wanted. I decided to schedule an appointment to establish with her because I wasn't getting anywhere with my new PCP. She was able to get me in that week and was able to do in a 20 minute office visit that the previous PCP couldn't do in 3 months. I left her office and 10 minutes after I left my MRI was approved, my neurosurgery referral was approved, and the neurosurgeon's office called to set up a pre-op appointment for that week because she called and asked them to put a rush on it. Won't listen to worker's comp patients at all. She will scoff at your questions and close your case regardless of the severity of your injury. No integrity.

I have been coming to see Dr. Joan for years now. She is the only doctor I have found who can adjust me using muscle manipulation. For those that are unable to have "force" chiropractic this is your best option. The only downside is the drive from Wilsonville but it's worth every penny.

Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dr. Joan is a truely exceptional osteopath. She seeks knowledge and is very well infromed. She is an artist in her craft. Adjustments are quick and generally, less painful, than traditional chiropractic or osteopathic adjustments. I have seen her for years and will continue to do so.

Dr. John has always been extremely generous with his time and knowledge. I have been with Dr. John for about ten years and I tried Kaiser for a year but am SO HAPPY to be back with Dr. John.

These two are the best doctors EVER. Dr Joan saved me from years of suffering when I had herniated discs in my neck, all the other doctors told me it was arthritis. Doctor John saved me when I had an infection that no one could diagnose and he believed me. turned out I had and infected root canal. They are both great doctors that can think outside the box!
