Mrs. Jo Ann Sharon Fields

She saw me weekly for several months when I was very young and in a very abusive relationship. Without her, I'm not confident that I'd have had the belief that I could ever escape, but here I am! I had very little money to give, but she worked within my budget and truly believed that talking to her could help me, and it certainly did. She tried mediating a session with my then-fiance, which really just solidified her understanding of his abusive nature and reinforced her advice for me to get away, as he couldn't even find enough care in his heart to stay longer than 5 minutes. I've always thought about reaching out to her to thank her for listening, and to let her know that it did get better.

This is not a very thorough review, because I have never met her. She didn't show up for our first meeting, which we scheduled 8 days in advance. I drove 25 miles through rush-hour traffic and found a handwritten note on her door, saying that she left for an emergency, and she was sorry she couldn't call. She had my phone number; why couldn't she have called? She's a flake, and you can't build a relationship of trust with a flake.
