Dr whyte is absolutely amazing !!! She did my full hysterectomy robotically and it was a complete success I was up and walking the same day Dr Whyte is an incredible skilled surgeon!!!

My sister received terrible care from Dr. Whyte. Her gynecologist referred her to Dr. Whyte because she had fibroids and pre-cancerous tissue. Dr. Whyte performed a hysterectomy and told her afterward that she actually had Stage 1 cancer. It was an aggressive cancer, she said, but it had not yet moved outside of the uterus (which, of course, was removed during surgery). As a precaution, she sent her to an oncologist for several radiation treatments. After the treatments were finished, the oncologist sent her for a scan, and everything was clear. Concerned about maintaining her health, my sister returned to Dr. Whyte, seeing her for check-ups every six months for the next two-and-a-half years. But her check-ups consisted of only brief internal exams in the office. No more scans of any kind to take a look inside. Not even a blood test. I thought that this was odd, especially when she reached the two-year anniversary of her surgery and she was not sent for a scan. But I figured that Jill Whyte was a doctor, and she must know what she's doing, right? Wrong. In February 2020, my sister had her regular check-up, and Dr. Whyte told her the usual, "Everything looks good, see you in six months." Only two months later, in April 2020, she became so ill that she called an ambulance to take her to the ER. While there, the ER gave her a scan and discovered a fistula and a Stage 4, inoperable tumor. Her uterine cancer had grown back as a large colon cancer, and Dr. Whyte had never noticed it. What was the point of all of those check-ups? Just to bill my sister's insurance? But not give any adequate post-surgical care? But it got worse. Dr. Whyte referred her to Dr. Lee to begin chemotherapy. Dr. Lee's nurse told my sister that she needed a blood test, but that Dr. Whyte's office had to order it. My sister conveyed this message to Dr. Whyte's nurse practitioner, who refused: "No. You don't need a blood test." She then spent the next couple of days playing phone tag with both nurses: "Yes, you do need a blood test." "No, you don't." "If you don't have a blood test, then we can't do a biopsy or start chemo." "All right, I'll order the blood test, but you DON'T really need it." It was awful. She was already terrified, and she had to deal with two rude and disrespectful nurses. Dr. Whyte's nurse finally approved the blood test, and she had blood drawn at the hospital. A few hours after she got home, the hospital called: "You have to come back. They didn't run all of the tests that they were supposed to." That was the last straw. At this point, she lost faith in Northwell, because Dr. Whyte and the nurses all seemed to be incompetent and uncaring. She was afraid to let them treat her anymore for fear of what else might go wrong. She took her records and found a new oncologist at a hospital in Manhattan. Her new doctor looked at her scan, shook her head, and said, "Even six months ago, this would have been operable." But the best that could be done by then was to try to control the tumor through chemotherapy. She had chemo from June through October 2020. Then the chemo stopped working, and the tumor started growing again. She is now trapped in a cancer nightmare. Her new doctor will try to find an immunotherapy drug to control her tumor and extend her life. Of course, we all know that cancer can be sneaky and unpredictable. But we also know that Early Detection is vital for a positive outcome. I will never understand why Dr. Whyte didn't notice, during two-and-a-half years of regular check-ups, that my sister's aggressive cancer was recurring. She cured me she has patience and answers questions she saved my life I'm now almost 3 years

Wish I could give zero stars. Office staff was friendly so there's your 1 star earned. The doctor literally lost her mind, threw papers, and maintained a stark disgusting attitude with no regards for my life or well being. I need surgery and I literally won't even go near a hospital she works at because I'm scared she would hurt me while I'm under anesthesia. All from my first appointment. Also note that the wait time was 1 hour in the waiting room and 1 hour in the back, without saying a word to me about what was going on. Northwell needs to send this doctor for a psych evaluation. Dr Whyte was amazing with my mother so nurturing. She constantly checked in on her to make sure she was okay as well as on our family.

I had surgery yesterday at LIJ with Dr. Whyte. She is number one in my book. Extremely professional, and up on the latest and newest techniques. Thank you Dr. Whyte for taking care of me

Amazing staff treat you with kindness and patience. Dr Whyte is encouraging, specific, and thorough. All her NPs are empathetic and soothing. Everyone has excellent follow up.

Dr.Whyte is a very caring Dr. She takes her time explaining things. Cancer impacts, drains and haunts. In a time where everything seems lost, it's nice to have someone professional with a heart in your corner. We are blessed to have her.

Dr. Whyte was highly recommended by my gynecologist to treat an abnormal biopsy. She is the ultimate professional. She gave me her recommendations for the right course of treatment and never made me feel like I was rushed. She fully explained everything. Her office staff is amazing and helpful. In all my years of going to doctors, I have never met a more professional, compassionate, understanding, confident and super smart doctor.
