Dr Kim is a compassionate and caring physician

Dr. Kim was horrible to me. He wrote non medical and non relevant information in my records. He refused to find out why my pain was uncontrolled and I wasn't asking for more pain medication, I was open to any help. I couldn't sleep at night because I was in extreme pain. Thankfully my new doctor figured out why I was having so much pain sleeping. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Jiensup Kim!

He called my wife illogical and stupid and refused to listen when she tried to explain the issues she was having with the medication she was taking.

I have an autoimmune condition that causes severe back pain and have seen several pain management doctors over the years for flare ups - including at Stanford and USC. He is by far the most compassionate that I have ever met. As a physician myself, I've noticed that many pain management doctors focus mostly on the risks of treatment instead of how to holistically address someone's quality of life. Very "black and white" thinking. Dr. Kim was open minded, cared about improving my quality of life, and listened to what my personal goals were. My treatment has been very successful and I am so grateful that he is helping me. I've always liked Dr. Kim and he is a good doctor. But his staff is really bad at responding to patients. I've been getting injections in my shoulder for an injury. I was told by Dr. Kim to set up another injection in 6 weeks. That was almost 3 months ago and I can't even get an appointment to follow up on the last injection I had. Dr Kim truly cares about helping his patients. I have some relief from my pain finally, after 20 years. I’m so grateful to have found him. Thank you, Dr Kim!

Dr. Jiensup Kim is not the pain management doctor that you want to see!

Dr. Kim is an amazing doctor. He has helped me tremendously since I came to him two years ago. He possesses a kind and empathetic bedside manner and is professional in explaining procedures. I am so grateful to him and his amazing staff. It is obvious he cares very much about his patients and their comfort and that is his goal. He is not just there to make money and hand out prescriptions. What a difference a doctor with empathy makes to patients who deal with chronic pain. I highly recommend Dr Kim!!! He is the best doctor ever!!!

Staff is rude, especially Evelyn and website is outdated. Try somewhere else. Thank God we HAVE insurance unlike some I know that drain the system....no referrals here.

Cares about your pain and complaints...

Dr. Kim is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. I have a genetic condition that is not well known and not adequately treated in Southern California. Very few doctors know how to treat it and luckily Dr. Kim is one of them. I first met Dr. Kim while I was working as a nurse case manager and had referred several patients to him to get assistance with their pain issues. He was very good to them. When I got sick and needed a pain management doctor, at first Dr. Kim would not see me since it would be a conflict of interest. It was not until I was medically retired and permanently disabled that I was able to see him. Dr. Kim has been wonderful trying to work with and trying to control my pain. The genetic condition I have is very painful and causes pain all the time. As a RN, I have seen a lot of pressure the insurance companies and the Government have placed on pain management providers and restricting how many pain pills patients can have and what a pain management doctor can do. Many times while I am in the middle of my appointment with Dr. Kim, he has to go and take a Doctor to Doctor call to argue to a treatment for his patient because an insurance company wants to deny a medication or a treatment. I don't mind this because I know I would want him to do this for me too. Dr. Kim is very kind, brilliant and caring physician and I am grateful that he did accept me as a patient after I was medically retired. If not, I don't think I would have had any relief. As for the gentleman that said that Dr. Kim was only in this for money, I have never seen that. I would recommend the he call the Office Manager and ask what was going on. Dr Kim used to be good, he was really good, and my doctor for over 2 years but he only wants cash now, $100 cash a visit ??????, he told me he doesn't want to do paperwork anymore. But why cash ? well he doesn't want to share any money on others fees ??????, he wants 100% of the money, he's gotten lazy and greedy, nobody needs a doctor like that. When I questioned him he walked out on me an my wife an grandkids and dropped me as a patient, me and my wife were puzzled and shocked, hes changed.

Dr Kim treated me with real concern , and I am amazed at how much better I feel. Thank you for being there for me.

Every time I walk into the office, whether I’m scheduled to see Dr Kim or his assistant, he always says hello to me and asks me how I’m doing. I’ve feel he takes the time for questions and is very kind hearted. When I went to see him over 2 years ago, I could hardly walk.. I’ve been in pain for 20 years. I’m not wanting surgery on my back and Dr. Kim has done a number of procedures on me that has given me long periods of a much better lifestyle. I love his assistant PA Cardenas too!

Most amazing Doctor I've ever come across. I've been in the medical field for 17 yrs, I've worked with several Physicians and now as a Patient who is now disabled, I am on the other side of the fence. I am grateful for my case manager for finding Dr. Kim for me. He tries everything within his means to care for his patients. He genuinely cares to find solutions to problems and heal; the well being of his patients his truly his concern. He listens as long as need be, explains things so they can be understood,searches for solutions,answers questions and will find the answer if he doesn't know it, he's understanding and he & staff make you feel comfortable rather than dreadful Dr. Appts. Dr. Kim and his entire staff are fantastic. He is incredibly thorough and knowledgable. He has been incredibly helpful. He really focuses on helping you and you don't feel like he is rushing to a conclusion to get to the next appointment. His staff is kind, organized and smart. They really go the extra mile. I can't say enough about Dr. Kim and his entire staff. It is very difficult to find a doctor you can trust, who is knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. Kim is all that and so much more. I came to his office barely able to stand, I am now in much less pain and am hopeful for the future. I have never met a more compassionate, humble and genuine doctor in my entire life. He listens to you and explains things in a way you can understand. Dr. Kim goes above and beyond to ensure you are getting the best possible treatment. He stays well-informed of advancements in technology and science. He has a dedicated team that is professional, efficient and friendly.
