Dr. Jesus A Hernandez

I have been a patient at this office for about 5 or so years a patient of Dr. Jesus Hernandez. I last seen him in July 2019 before he retired. He was a great caring Dr. always showed concern about your health. My next visited was with Dr. Bustamante on January 17, 2022 . Arrived there of course waited a while then saw him for five minutes just enough time to get a lab slip and be told labs would take a month so we'll see u then. Next appointment was scheduled for March 20, 2022 a day before appointment his office called me canceling when I ask why day before he decided no appointments that day. reschedule today April 26,2023they canceled it May 23, 2023 appointment. I was admitted to the hospital exactly a year ago for heavy rectal bleeding and pain. Dr Hernandez did a quick visual and said I "probably" had hemorrhoids despite him not actually seeing any. He said colonoscopy would only aggravate the situation. Once discharged I immediately followed up with an appt and still he refused to do a colonoscopy stating I was too young even though a family member passed from colon cancer. Well now a yr later I'm bleeding again, passing clots this time, my stools are tiny little shreds now, I can barely eat and I'm now being sent to a surgeon to see what is happening with me. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE DR HERNANDEZ TO SEE YOUR LIFE MIGHT POSSIBLY NOT HAVE MUCH TIME ANYMORE AND KNOWING SOMETHING COULD HAVE BEEN DONE!? TO KNOW YOUR CHILDREN MIGHT LOSE THEIR ONLY PARENT AND BARELY WHEN LIFE WAS BEGINNING FOR YOU BOTH!? You are the most egotistical, narrow minded Dr ever I have encountered! And that goes for your partner Dr Beniquez as well who tells their patients after an endoscopy they have some inflammation but don't know why and instead of sending them to another specialist dismisses them. I have been a patient of Dr. Jesus Hernandez and been seen by the other two doctors in his office since May 2015. I been experiencing a very strong pain on the right side of my stomach, I been through endoscopies, ultrasounds, sonograms, capsule endoscopy, blood work, and other studies, and my liver is a little swollen, I have diverticulitis, gastritis but no medication has been given to for these issues nor medicine to ease the pain on my side. One of my appointment with Dr. Hernandez was an awful experience I was told by doctor Hernandez to leave his office that he refused to see me and yelled it loud enough with the door open to where every one on the nurses station and other patients heard him telling me he refused to see me to leave. I was in so much embarrassment, even the nurses were apologizing on his behalf and one nurse walked me to the nurse station to reschedule me to one of the other doctors. I have seen so many doctors because of my health issues and I have never been treated in such manner. I got home crying and my husband asked me to call the dr. to ask him why he treated me in that manner so unprofessional and rude, he went against private policy be not closing the door and allowing everyone to hear him treat me in such ugly way. Well I did call Dr. Hernandez but he refused to talk to me instead the head nurse got on the phone and apologize on his behalf as well. I continue going just to do the last test that his partner Dr. Beniquez requested and even this Dr. said that this was the last test he would do for me that there was nothing else he can do for me. I guess they did not want to treat me any more. I will not recommend to any one these specialist because what I went through was unreasonable and I hope that no one ever gets treated like I was by these doctors. Don’t lose your time!!!! I made an appointment on Feb & they schedule me for July, couple of days before they call to reschedule because supposedly Dr Hernandez couldn’t see me, they rescheduled for Oct 22 @ 2 pm. I arrived 8 min before and wait, wait, wait, and I started see everyone was call in except my self, but because the office take care of different doctors I thought it may be other doctors appointments so I wait, wait, wait but then I clearly heard a lady asking for Dr Hernandez & signed in. (I was already waiting for 2 hrs) 15 min after they called this lady & gave her a room (before me that was waiting for more than 2 hrs). I asked and the secretary said Dr Hernandez had to step out & if I wanted to see him I need it to wait. I asked why they enter other patients before me & she said because they may have earliest appointments. That means they had appointment before 2 arrived after 4 & they where received by the doctor before me that was on time. ????????‍♀️ VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! There are many other doctors in town that respect patients & are professional. RUN FROM THIS DOCTOR!!! Don’t lose your time!!!! I loved my experience with Dr Hernandez. He explained in detail everything, was polite and professional. He did not order unnecessary studies. My wait in his office was 30-40 min (which I’m ok with).

He is caring, competent and attentive. I have seen him for several years through some pretty major health challenges and I have always found him to be this way and by the way I'm a nurse (MSN). As a nurse leader at a local hospital I have yet to hear complaints about this fine physician.

Dr is great!!! Staff is horrible!!! They are rude... I had a problem and the nurse NEVER CALLED ME BACK... I WAS ON HOLD FOR 20 minutes... when she picked up she transferred me to the answering machine!!!!! Very frustrating ?? And the wait time to see the doctor is awful ??
