Jesus De La Torre

I was referred to this therapist by my EAP provider for couples therapy and left with a very bitter taste. As kind as Jesus ‘Manuel’ was, he turned myself and spouse away after our one hour session of explaining our issues in our marriage and needing help, guidance and the tools to work through the issues we are experiencing. He advised us, that is not what couples therapy is for and he would not be of assistance to us and no longer would be able to see us. After one session. Even after that remark made, I wouldn’t have returned, but I felt lost as to what the point of therapy is if it isn’t to give guidance to couples on how to work through their marriage and the issues they find themselves in? I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I am sincerely bummed this session turned out so negative.

He is a LIAR and a THIEF! I was sent to him through my work due to a failed UA , did the assessment, and had another session the following week. Through just these 2 hours of visiting with Mr. de la Torre he actually came across as a pretty good guy. At the end of our last session I handed him the $400 and I didn't request a receipt. Lesson learned there. After a few weeks he calls me up saying I didn't pay him and he can't close my case until I give him $400 more. Blackmail?
