She is not trauma informed. She does not understand how to demonstrate genuine compassion, particularly for long term issues based in trauma or mental health struggles and how this connects to physical health. She can do the basics as a doctor but if you have any complexities to you as a patient, or value really solid bedside manner, I would not suggest seeing her.

She is not a kind doctor for someone who struggles with an eating disorder and living in a larger body, she pushes weight loss surgery and medication and doesn’t work collaboratively with an ED therapeutic team. She has a fake niceness that is condescending and rude. The shame and sadness I felt after seeing her was immense. If you are overweight/“obese” I would recommend avoiding her unless you are really wanting medication and surgery.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jessica Johnston-Rickerts since 2012 and every time I see her, I feel fortunate that she is my doctor. She takes time with me, makes me feel that my needs are important, is professional, smart, comprehensive, warm, and caring. I can't imagine there is a better doctor.

I have been seeing DrJohnston-Rickert for many years and she is an amazing person and doctor. She is a professional yet caring, respectful and personable. The nurses are great as well.

Love Dr Johnston Rickert. Very caring and does what she can to quickly find out whats going on and find a solution. I would highly encourage you to have her for your family Dr.

Dr. Jessica is the best!! She can communicate with old and young. She is smart, pays attention, and truly cares about her patients.

I am so happy to have Dr. Johnston -Rickert as my physician. She is a thoughtful, intelligent, and helpful provider whom I trust with my healthcare. She listens to me!!!
