Best Orthopedic Surgeon He is such an Amazing Surgeon cares about his patients and takes time to explain everything to his patient's

Dr. Stem performed 3 back surgeries on me while in Lynchburg. I could not have asked for a more professional, competent, and personal physician.

I've had a couple visits with Dr stem. He seemed helpful at first, but my condition has worsened alot since I saw him last. He claims he can't tell, even though I provided evidence. I have muscle deterioration widespread over my body, some sort of unknown condition or disease. He sent me to another Dr that wasn't interested in listening to me as well as they wanted to base their information off of a old mri from 10 months ago. Stem is willfully ignorant at times, I went for a follow up and could tell he wasn't thrilled bout seeing me. I have to go see a specialist now, but stem has his detractors. Would be very wary of him.

Dr stem did an l4 l5 fusion on me, I'm 39 now, a disabled veteran, I'm worse off than before and his excuse was I did the surgery right deal with it. he has horrible people skills, Goodluck people.

I had to have 4 back surgeries in 2 years. I appreciate Dr. Stem he was very patient and he explained to me in detail what he was going to do. The last fusion surgery was October 2019. He took care of my father-in law. Did excellent job!

After being scared to do death for back surgery, Dr. Stem made sure to cover every angle of what I was facing. He was prompt to take action immediately, trying to prohibit surgery but my back was just too bad. On July 17, 2020, I had surgery with him and his PA Tyler Kemp. I can't suggest enough that if you need something done, TRUST THEM!! They did a amazing job on my very messed up back and I'm so glad I met them both! Dr stem fixed my back and this is the best I have felt in years as far as I am concerned he is the best back surgeon I would put my trust in

I've never met a Dr who is as patient and willing to listen as Dr Stem is. You can almost see his wheels turning in his head when hes trying to figure out what problem you are having. He is AMAZING!! Dr Srem was an amazing surgeon who helped me find the best solution to my pain.

Excellent surgeon who genuinely cares! Takes his time to listen to his patient and discusses options. Is very caring and truly wants the best for his patient! ????

He is very smart! He's patient when it comes to the problems unknown he figures them out like a puzzle. He is very professional and respectable. I really enjoy him being my Dr. I would recommend him to everyone. I have had 2 surgeries done by him & he did wonderful & although my pain and problem still exists he is looking at every angle to find out what it is and I have no doubt that when he does he will fix me! He decided as soon as he saw my Xrays that he'd be doing yet another Lumbar Spinal Fusion surgery, even though I'd made very clear that I would NOT have another and instead wanted Radio Frequency Ablation to relieve pain. The last fusion had partially disabled me and a 3rd would end my active life entirely, make Activities of Daily Living extremely difficult, and render me homebound. I called a Pain Management doctor immediately after getting the MRI and am preparing for RFA with him.

After consulting with other doctors who wanted to put me into rehabilitation for my terrible arms pain, I went to Dr. Stem who, after looking at the MRI, knew immediately what was the problem. He did a great surgery, fusing 5 vertebrae. (C-2 to C-7). No more pain, no visible scar. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

The best orthopedic Dr....... He really cares and shows concern for your injury or problem.

Dr. Stem is a wonderful surgeon! He is very knowledgable and goes above & beyond for his patients. Spine surgery changed my life and I'm lucky to have had Dr. Stem support me through it and my recovery!

Dr Stem did my spinal fusion 4 years ago and I'm so thankful I did! I was in the hospital for 10 days and there wasn't a day he didn't come by to see me or call. I had a follow up yesterday and it was identical to 4 years ago.
