I got ftm top surgery. the whole process moved swiftly and the results came out amazing. he made sure my gender dysphoria was prioritised and worked to fix it. this man changed my life. he’s awesome

Words cannot describe the amount of appreciation and gratitude I have for this office and the staff. From starting the process for my bottom MTF surgery to actually having the surgery and then the hospital stay, everything was absolutely amazing. Welcoming, comforting, affirming, and consistent, the staff and even Jess Ting went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I am pleased to say that from the time I got out of surgery to the time I went home, my pain level was no greater than a 4 out of 10, and the aesthetics are so real that I feel so complete with who I am. Thank you Jess Ting and Staff for making my time at Mount Sinai an experience to forever remember!

The worst experience I have ever ever had in my life. I went to him hoping for the best and got the worst. He just don't care. Everyone go to Nyu results are so much better and they care for you.

I’m not happy with his results at all I also spoke to someone in his waiting room who is botched as well his personality isn’t the best either he seemed cold and careless during the consult before he rushed out to his next patient

I had to wait 6 months to see Dr. Ting. My appointment was at 9:30 I didn't see him until 11. Just for him to tell me he doesn't do colonvaginoplasty revision. He was nice and gave me another Dr number that might can help.

The people here interviewed my wife, telling her that there is a program to help people who either don't have insurance or who's insurance won't cover it. Turns out that was a lie. She's devastated now because she thought she'd finally be able to make that last step in her transition.......... Just to be told by some impersonal financial drone that they don't do that. Please beware that people leave politically motivated negative reviews on Dr Ting's profile because they dislike that he performed a surgery on a 17 year old Ms Tressa. Tressa was a successful and happy transition case.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ting’s since 2016. Dr. Ting is super compassionate, professional and honest. I love that he is realistic and always told me whether he can live up to my expectations or not. Had top surgery with him in 2017 and will be getting my bottom surgery with him soon as well. With top surgery, he was always responsive afterwards with my concerns. I am happy with the results. I know in my heart he gave me the best chest I could’ve gotten and I’m forever grateful. As for his staff, I’ve dealt mostly with Alicia and Elsa over the course of the past 3 years. They’ve both been super helpful and professional. I’ve read some reviews about Elsa and honestly can’t fathom her acting in that manner. I’ve gotten to know her on a personal level and she is extremely personable and down to earth. She really is for the Trans* community and expressed to me that she enjoys changing our lives. I’ve actually screwed her over once and she and her staff never held it against me or lacked in their respect for me. Side bar: I’ve witnessed patients on multiple occasions acting out and entitled. Check yourself, have a respectful approach and and the same will be reciprocated....life tip. Nobody owes you anything. Message to all whether you choose Dr. Ting or not: 1. Realize that the “perfect” results he’s obtained with other patients are not guaranteed. Everyone’s body reacts to surgery differently. (He tells his patients this multiple times) 2. I was seeking trans female bottom surgery. I found Dr. Ting after searching seemingly forever to find someone I felt comfortable with trusting to do such a personally sensitive procedure. Dr. Ting was very patient and kind during every step leading to surgery. He tells you what to expect and the possible outcomes (both positive and potentially negative) of surgery which is good given it's the reality of such a procedure. His staff all across the board are also amazing from the initial medical intake to the surgery office staff. Some reviews said certain staff members were rude, I don't think any of them were rude. I did sometimes feel the way people talk in NYC is different and maybe that threw some people the wrong way... At times after surgery I felt it was difficult to communicate with his office, but I think it had something to do with Mt. Sinai changing the communication systems while I was having surgery. I had a breast reconstruction surgery after breast cancer a few years ago. Dr Ting made assurances that were not completely true about the expected outcome and was only available for the minimal follow ups in a 3 or 4 month period. You need to have a 1year follow up to effectively address healing issues. It was difficult to reach him outside of a scheduled appointment with any concerns about healing. He also showed up 1 hour late for my surgery and quickly marked up the procedure for his interns who probably performed the surgery. My body is literally the work of Dr.Ting and I am pleased with my outcome. I was one of the first FtM patients who had surgery and was honored that Dr.Ting was able to help me. The work that he does truly does help our community and he has trained with some of the best in the industry (my first surgery was a collaboration with Miroslav Djordjevic). Dr Ting is NEVER available and his office is EXTREMELY unprofessional, they overbook and keep patients waiting after having Vaginal Plasti surgery with no consideration to patient's pain. Also this office NEVER answers the phone and will mis schedule constantly and make you wait weeks to see a doctor or nurse practitioner or whoever's available EVEN THOUGH your scheduled to meet Dr Ting. Make sure to ask exactly how you want to be contacted because this office will text you HOURS LATER of your appointment then make you miss your appointment and force you to wait weeks to be seen. Went to Dr. Ting for vaginoplasty . Very patient, and attentive, and easy to reach. Very accessible. Awesone workmanship and staff are a godsend too. Would highly recommend anyone in the market for a plastic surgeon to go to him.

i was very unhappy with my nose, it was crooked and big, and had a bump. i also had trouble breathing. a friend of mine recommended dr. ting if i wanted a nose job. i happily accepted his generosity and called dr ting to make an appointment. the operation was fairly quick, and the result was excellent. i highly recommend him to others.
