Dr. Jerry Brian Sobel

Jerry literally told me to suffer with my lumbar stenosis pain and did not offer or recommend any follow up care for pain relief. I got a second opinion, which went against everything Jerry said. This is just a shady, shady doctor.

Doctor Sobel is supposedly a pain management doctor, but he doesn’t manage pain medication. I have never of a pain management doctor that doesn’t manage medication. That’s like a car mechanic saying I don’t work on cars. I wish the front office staff would have told me. Took time off from work super ridiculous…

Friend was late "2 minutes" because of heavy traffic. Called and said she was almost there. MA did not tell her to reschedule at that time and when she arrived was told that the doctor had already left. MA stated he was already intending to leave early to pick up his car. My friend is a Hospice nurse and works 6 days a week. MA should have told her not to try and keep appointment as she stated he had turned off his computer and closed his books at 4pm. Her behavior was very unprofessional and admitted that she never even told the doctor that the patient was almost there. My friend was very upset as this was very important to her. Dr. Sobel is a wonderful Dr. I recommend him to all my friends and family!!! Also the MA is so friendly and caring!

Dr. Jerry Sobel was wonderful and really took his time talking to me. He answered all my questions thoroughly. He personally did my EMG and told me the results on the spot.

I went to Dr. Sobel after my orthopedic doctor recommended I have a Tenex procedure done following an MRI. I contacted Dr. Sobel's office. They had an opening in one hour. I took it. After reading the MRI report, Dr. Sobel quizzed me extensively about my pain. He then told me he wasn't convinced the MRI report and films conclusively pointed to the diagnosis from the other doctor. He ordered another MRI to check my spine to either prove the diagnosed problem or point to another cause . I was very impressed. I trust my orthopedic doctor who was quick to refer me to Tenex specialist based on what the radiologist reported. However, I have a lot of history with my lower back, what Dr. Sobel said fit my symptoms. I appreciated Dr. Sobel's thoroughness in determining the origin of my pain. Dr. Sobel is very patient, funny, and an amazing dr. Love this place because family care is next door so I can go see either for my needs Office staff is amazing, I see the same MA every time and she always creates a "family" type of experience and remembers me whenever I come in. Fantastic doctor, very professional. I have nothing but high praise for him. I had injection in my lower back. Never felt it and was surprised when he said he was finished.

What can I say this one of the better Dr I have had the pleasure to meet and treat my injury. I was able to schedule as needed and work with Dr Sobel to form a plan for my knee injury. I had an injection done and it went smooth as can be. For those that don't know some draining and injections from knee can be extremely painful I only felt the poke of the needle. I felt Dr Sobel had a genuine interest and listen to my concerns and questions and also followed up with me to see how I was doing. Staff as mentioned in other reviews are great and easy going. Dr. Sobel is a really great doctor. He actually listened to me about my back problem and made very good recommendations for treatment. I felt like he cared about me and my quality of life and I was not just the next person in line. I highly recommend Dr. Jerry Sobel

Dr. Sobel is the only one who I would trust with my back and he was the only doctor to get me pain relief after 30 years of pain.

This doctor has quite a lot of ego. I went to Dr Sobel about a year or two ago for my knee, neck and lower back issues. He insisted he can look into only one issue at a time. He sent me to physiotherapy once for my lower back. When I went to him again, he again prescribed me for some more physiotherapy. Meanwhile, when I went to a different surgeon for my wife's knee issues, I had checked with him and he took me as a patient. The surgeon generally performs major surgeries and Sobel is more of a recommending PT and providing injections kind of guy. Since I already had knee surgery in 2011, I'd thought it makes sense to see what the surgeon is recommending. My surgeon had giving me a couple injections on one of knees last year. With his next appointment was far out and their office insisted I take an appointment with someone else if I am in a hurry. I was not able to bear the day-to-day pain in my other knee, so I took an appointment for today with Sobel to see if he could offer injections sooner. Sobel's office guy made me fill up like 10 pages of information as if I was a new patient since its been a while I'd met Sobel. His nurse took all my details and finally in came Sobel. Then, he went on give me like a 30 minute lecture on why he won't treat me because I left him and went to a different doctor. I don't think I'd ever want to recommend a doctor like this. I dont think Sobel understands that every patient has a right to a second opinion. Worst part is I wasn't even trying for a second opinion. I'd only done what worked best under my circumstances. I have head shots in my back for over 20 years. None have given me the relief that I got from Dr. Sobel. He is far and away the best doctor I have ever had.

What an outstanding doctor and surgeon you can look but I can't believe you will ever find anyone better. Dr. Sobel and staff are the best offering great customer care and follow up. Thank you so much for treating me and making my back better.

I am an orthopedic surgeon and I know Dr. Sobel by reputation and have shared patients with him over the years. I have found him to be an ethical and excellent physician. I am very disheartened to see patients malign a doctor's reputation because they do not agree with the physician's treatment plan. A physician who allows a patient to dictate their plan of care, especially when it is not the best thing for the patient, is not a good physician. In a recent review, Dr. Sobel made a decision that he knew would draw the ire of a patient (and certainly was against Dr. Sobel's financial interest). He did it because he felt it was the right thing. That's what good doctors do. Bravo, Dr. Sobel. Administration at this office is terrible. I get billed for service i had 5 years after i was there and a 30% additional fee added on. According to them they "reached out via mail once the year of service and one other time the year after". I don't recall of either of these attempts otherwise we wouldn't be here right now. So 5 years after they reach out (also when i happen to be outside the country so i had no idea they tried getting a hold of me) they decide to turn my case over to collections, and tack on a 30% fee. Not a person who dodges bills, reach out promptly and you'll get response back instead of doing it 5 years after the fact. Attempted to cover my original bill that i don't recall ever receiving in the first place through Victoria in billing, to get that its over in collections now and there is nothing she can do nor can she take off the 30% (I call bs). Disgusted by the wait time of staff on outstanding accounts and ways to work on resolving these issues with customers. Administration at this office is terrible. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sobel. He is an amazing doctor and always takes time to explain everything in detail to you and make sure you are fully taken care of. I don't hesitate to recommend him to anyone I can.

I can not say enough good things about Dr Jerry Sobel. He always takes his time with me, never rushes thru any appointment and he makes sure that I understand everything. Used their online booking system and received an email confirmation, which I showed the receptionist. They didn't have me on their schedule. I would have waited, not a single person in the waiting room and she made zero attempt to get me seen. I told her I drove 40 min in traffic and would wait, she said I could come back tomorrow. Instead of taking even more time off work, not sure if I make an appt if I will actually get seen. It felt very weird here. First this is that there is a glass wall separating the patients and the staff and the window where I had to fill in the paperwork was frosted and could not even say if someone was there. The lady behind this window was so rude. I asked her several questions and her answer was always no. I asked if there was a way she can print me are root for my last visit and she said no, and she did not say anything and looked into the computer and 5 min later she printed it out no explanation. The first time I went there I had to fill my insurance info and I had mentioned my BCBS info, also they take only BCBS that's written in the new patient document. After I saw Dr. Bruce , I was told to wait in the area again and after a while there the lady behind the frosted glass opens the window and said I had to pay the full amount. She would not even pronounce my name right to anything close. And I am supposed to guess that she was calling me. It is as if she never went through the new patient form. And when I asked about the insurance she said u never told me and started suffering through the forms. When I told her I had written that info on the form she gave an attitude and said that I did not give her the insurance card. And they did need the copy. I told her I did not have a card and can I show her the BCBS app card, she said no. Then I asked her if I can email it to her as app can do that she said no, then got a post it wrote the email address and handed to me and did not say anything. The second time I went there to get the results I was waiting for my wife's result and I was running late to go back to a meeting already so I knocked on the window where I saw the nurse who tested us and asked her if I can pick up her results when I come back next day when I come to pick mine. She said she will check with the lady behind the frosted window. And then I could hear her through the glass cussing and fussing but never heard back and after 15 min she opens the window and hands me the results. 2 very good friends of mine for the past few years have had moderate to severe neck and lower back pain. I have talked to each of them about the treatment that they have received and the outcomes. They have been to a handful of pain specialist in the valley and both found no one better and easy going than Dr, Jerry Sobel, MD. I had to ask what made him so special and both without any hesitation stated that his concern for their problems were sincere and he was going to find a way to find relief and rectify their problems. A funny thing to is that both laughed and said that his wit and sense of humor lets us know that he too is only human, but also has a great gift of healing. I took their advice and became a patient of Dr. Jerry Sobel. He was kind, sincere and very easy going. He listened to my problem and dug a little deeper into my health history and personal lifestyle to help find out what could be the cause of my problem and to figure out the best plan of action to follow. He told me what he thought and what he felt was the best for me. I have wasted a lot of time and money in last several years trying to get relief from low back pain. Dr. Jerry Sobel did a 99% fix quickly and efficiently. Wish I had discovered him a long, long time ago.

This place is atrocious. The quality of care is extremely poor. The staff is incredibly unfriendly and not helpful at all.

I'm a long time cyclist and saw Dr. Sobel for degenerative, lower back problems a few years ago. I'd been doing home exercises, taking anti-inflammatories, and doing everything right, yet I was not getting better. Dr. Sobel fixed all that and got me turned around very quickly. He got the inflammation down, guided me to the right exercises and lifestyle choices and now I feel like my core is one of my strong points rather then a weakness. And I feel stronger on the bike for it as well. But that's not all. I also had fatigue issues at the time, and mentioned these to him and was amazed to find out that he had incredible knowledge in this area too. I think he works with or has access to a preeminent researcher in the field of auto immune diseases. He put me on some very light medication, made diet suggestions (if you like steak you might not want to know), and really helped me get a handle on the fatigue. I now see Dr. Sobel at least once a year, just to keep on track for my back and energy. No other doctor has ever provided me with as much benefit! My extended family and I have been seeing Dr. Larry for several years and think he is the best.

I have had low back pain and neck pain for going on at least 10 years. I have tried Chiropractic and medications to ease the pain. Dr Sobel was able to help me when nobody else could. I ride motorcycles and am suffering from the cumulative effect of to many crashes. Dr Sobel has methods and treatments I have never heard of before. I am thankful I found him but more importantly grateful that he was able to make my pain go away so I can continue to ride. I have had low back pain and neck pain for going on at least 10 years.
