I was really excited to work with Dr. Glassman, but it's been really hard to schedule an appointment. I had an appointment, but then his office manager Cathy called my assistant and told them that they had to cancel the appointment because Dr. Glassman was going on vacation. I asked my assistant to get Dr. Glassman's availability for when he returned but Cathy refused to give my assistant that availability. So, I moved on to other things. Then, the day before the original appointment, I get a voicemail from Cathy stating that the original appointment was still scheduled...huh?!? Not sure who dropped the ball, but I'm guessing it's Cathy. I've used the same virtual assistant through my insurance many times before and I've never had an issue. One of the most wonderful doctors I've ever experienced. He is a Doctor of Osteopathy, D.O. which is a manipulation of the soft tissue. Different from Chiropractic which moves bones but similar in some ways. They can write prescriptions in the same way as an MD and most of them have dropped the wonderful manipulation techniques but Dr. Glassman is of the old school D.O.'s and hasn't lost his touch and he really, really cares about his patients. A lot. When I was in rehab for a stroke he came to the other part of the hospital to visit me to see how I was doing. He certainly didn't have to do that. An amazing and heart felt Doctor. Very warm and experienced person. I've seen lots of osteopaths, and he's in the middle. He tends to work only by manipulating the neck and maybe one other area. My experience with other practitioners is that they do a more thorough exam first and then a series of other manipulations. I've heard from other practitioners that they've seen patients first seen by Dr. Glassman, and they thought he didn't do any hands on treatment. Highly recommend local Drs. Blackman and Shadoan and Gilmartin
