Best dermatologist treat my acne after trying everything and they didn’t work! N after going to him my face is so much cleaner now ! Thank you Dr hurdle.

I've always been seen promptly and received excellent care. The staff is courteous and Dr. Hurdle takes his time with his patients. Highly recommend him.

His office was clean and nicely decorated but more importantly Dr. Hurdle was kind, informative, and to the point. His office was busy and he was efficient but not rushed.

Dr. Hurdle was awesome. Very kind and patient with my kids. My only complaint is we got there 10 minutes before my daughters appointment (because I was told to) but we waited for 30 minutes to get a room which is hard with a toddler and a 5 year old.

Visit was actually my Moms as she had been experiencing severe skin eruptions with pruritis causing the inability to sleep. She also has cirrhosis of the liver and no, she doesn't drink. My mom is also suffering from paranoia and unusual disturbing phobias. Assessments for Dementia and care planning is essential. The reason I explained all of this is to give you an idea of the kind of personality traits my mom exhibits to ANYone. Dr. Hurdle was laid back, friendly, and posturing as non threatening. My mom hates Doctors but Dr. Hurdle was able to charm her within 5mins of the apt. Dr. Hurdle faced a great "hurdle" and saved the day, we hope...lol. If not, we'll be back. Thank you to Dr. Hurdle for his empathetic and educated assessments. Thank you for listening to all of us and encouraging the team approach to continued care. You guys rock.

GO ELSEWHERE! I was excited for my appt with a DO. However, a few minutes in and I was completely taken back by how he brushed off my concerns for consult. Instead, he continuously tried to give me multiple pharmaceuticals for conditions I don't even have. I felt like I was being hustled. He made it clear that he reccomends pharmaceuticals over natural/alternative methods and preventative care and did so with an arrogant attitude when I informed him that I make my own herbal salves, personal care products etc. When I said I didnt need one medication he suggested another. It was impressive, really how blatantly he was trying to sell me prescriptions. I did not recieve the proper medical consult and care. As I walked to my car I was concerned that others may not be able to see through the sales pitch and may take the medications and ludacris suggestions of this man simply because he's a doctor. I had several visits and I finally gave up for the lack of care and concern for the infection I got in my surgical site. No worries, information, concern or results reported back when the results showed MRSA. I had to ask for the results at a 12 day follow up and he had the results on day 2! It was obvious he was reading the results for the first time when I asked about them. I did ALL the aftercare as directed....maybe his assistant not wearing gloves when setting up the instruments??? (I wish I had questioned it at the time) Kept charging me a copay to ask me what I wanted to do, like I know how to make an ugly scar go away!?! I had to ask for a blood culture to see if I was clear of the infection and then I never got the results until I called a few times. Communication is not great there. One should question when your dermatologist is also a proctologist (in the same building) and who brings his dog to work through the waiting room. After suffering for more than a decade with hemorrhoid problems and pain because I was too scared to be seen after a botched surgery and a bad experience with another proctologist, I reluctantly made the call to go see Dr. Hurdle after another bad thrombosed hemorrhoid flare-up. It was the last straw. I couldn't live with the suffering anymore so I figured I would give someone else a shot at fixing my problem. Dr. Hurdle and his staff (and the crew at MaineGeneral) did amazing work at the initial appointment, on surgery day, and with two follow-up visits. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the results and I only wish I had gone to see Dr. Hurdle in the beginning. A million thanks! Dr. Hurdle and his team are super friendly, very prompt, has a great bedside manner. The location wasn’t as I expected, but inside was clean, warm, and inviting. The front desk was quick to say hello and get started with paperwork, and there was really no wait time before I went into my appointment. Dr. Hurdle is very informative, explains what is wrong and comes up with Suggestions on how to fix it. What I loved the most, was we didn’t have to schedule a follow up to get the biopsy he did it the same day so we can get the results and start the treatment(s) necessary to begin healing. Dr. Hurdle and his staff were very pleasant. The office is clean and we were quickly seen with very little wait time. My boyfriend has a severe fear of needles and typically avoids doctors in general, however he had a tumor that needed removing as it was believed to be cancerous. Dr. Hurdle put him at ease and reassured him that he would be as gentle as he could be given the circumstances. He talked to him throughout the procedure to help distract from the needles and the pain. The tumor ended up being cancerous so he had to go back several weeks later to have more of the area removed. He did so well that my boyfriend not only went back but he complimented Dr. Hurdle, something I never thought would happen. Thank you Dr.Hurdle and staff for putting him at ease so that he could get the care he needed.

I was referred recently due to skin eruptions and dandruff directly caused by Celiac Disease, phase 4 and Crohn's Disease, stage 1. Though Dr. Hurdle seems compassionate and understanding, he prescribe a medication, shampoo and topical that aren't working at all leaving me very unimpressed. Dr. Hurdle and his staff are very pleasant. The initial billing is though is terrible.

The Dr is very thorough and makes sure he's explained all diagnoses.

Great doctor and awesome staff. I've never had a bad experience with them. One of the few in the area that I believe is actually about his patients. I have anxiety especially when it comes to doctors, but I've never had a attack about going there.

I was referred to Dr. Hurdle about a year ago to have a lesion removed from my face, which turned out to be a benign basal cell skin cancer. I was very pleased with the excision of the lesion, which has left no scar at all; in fact, you would never know there was anything there! Dr. Hurdle and his staff were all very pleasant at all 3 visits, the initial one and the two follow-up visits. We are very fortunate to have him in the area.

the Doctor himself is great. the billing is horrible. be ready to pay a huge office visit charge in addition to any procedure. BEWARE!!

Dr. Hurdle treated my mom and foster son and it was a great experience. This man is very knowledgeable and wise when it comes to all issues involving skin care. Just finished my last laser hair removal session with Dr Hurdle :D a naturally very painful process turned into breeze with this man. Great place, amazingly friendly staff. Would suggest him to anyone!

Dr. Hurdle walked into the exam room and took one look, and knew the diagnosis immediately. Verified by biopsy. He is very professional, friendly. Would definitely return if needed and highly recommend. I am an RN.

I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is very kind and compassionate, I never felt like I was a bother. He called after my surgery to check on me. His office staff is amazing as well. Definitely an A+ facility. He is like family, no reason to feel embarrassed. He is extremely knowledgeable.
