I can't praise Dr. Smith and her nurses enough. The nurses did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and reassured. Dr. Smith explained the process well and was open to any questions I had. I followed all of the information given to me prior to and after the surgery. I am healing well without any complications. I would recommend Dr. Smith and her staff to anyone who needs this procedure.

I went to this practice 4 years ago due to a weird sudden growth on my chin. She took one look at it and told me it was nothing. She said she could remove it but the scar would be worse than the actual growth. I went for skin checks with her every year after that, no concerns raised. Fast forward to present day, I moved to another state. Set up service with a new dermatologist and my 1st appointment I'm told that the growth on my chin was suspect and needed a biopsy. Results: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Micronodular Type. Thank goodness I found a better doctor!

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone! It's quite obvious that her only concern is what she's putting in her pocket, not the patient she supposed to be treating with compassion and understanding. I have cancer on my face, and I waited a few months for an appointment, being concerned, I took the first available. And I had several issues to discuss. The nurse was informative, and assured me the doctor would address my issues when she saw me. And as soon as she did come in, she was very aloof, unfriendly, extremely unprofessional, curt and rude! She treated me very poorly! I had a mask on for the doctor's appt. I asked her my questions and I got very vague answers, and all she kept saying, you know there's no cure for these. Instead of addressing my concerns she blew me off as if I were bothering her or just a burden. She was very rushed, and kept going towards the door as I was trying to ask her questions. I will be looking for a new dermatologist immediately!

Not very interested in what you have to say. Can't even say if she's any good because she is so dismissive, it kind of dampens the PATIENT(customer)/doctor relationship.

Made an appointment to see a dermatologist Dr. Smith, on Seward St in Saratoga Springs; as I had a growth that I believed to be a cyst on my cheek/jaw. Everyone was super nice except for the fact I waited a little while in my vehicle before being able to been seen then referred to a plastic surgeon for my cyst. But the reason for my two stars is because they were so cautious about covid and themselves but when it came to me the doctor touched my face with her bare hands and also pulled an instrument out of her pocket and pressed it against my face so she could size up the cyst which I felt was unprofessional and not sanitary. During a pandemic where you can't wait in the waiting area to be seen you have to wait in your vehicle. Yet the doctor can touch your face with their bare hands and pull an instrument out of their pocket that's not sanitized or wasn't sanitized before it was put on my face! I feel like she didn't honestly didn't care about my health only her own. I don't think I'll ever return to that office again, even though the office staff was extremely nice. The doctor didn't seem to care about my health and dismissed me rather quickly. I just don't understand why a dermatologist cannot handle a cyst or at least tell me what I should do to help treat it until I can see another doctor. I feel like my day was wasted and so will be the money my insurance company is going to pay out for a doctor that wasn't helpful and could have potentially put me at risk by touching me with her bare hands and putting an object or an instrument (whatever you want to call it) up to my face and touching my face with it that was unsanitized and not sterile. It came right out of her lab coat pocket was not in a container or in sterile packaging. Very unprofessional and potentially could put me at risk as well as herself and possibly other patients if that instrument isn't sterilized and this is normal practice. Just my experience. She made me feel very uncomfortable. I left clothing on that I was comfortable wearing and she moved clothing with out my permission or a heads up. I understand it’s her job to do skin checks everywhere but if I leave clothes on for my comfort level, at least ask to move them and give me the chance to tell you I have already checked in those areas and I know there is nothing concerning there.

She made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I left clothing on that I was comfortable in and she moved them without my permission or a heads up. I understand that she needs to do a skin check but at least give me the respect to ask to move my clothes or if I have any concerning spots under the clothing I left on. I also felt very rushed and as if I was a burden to her and a waste of her time.

My experience with Dr. Smith over the past 2 years has been very positive. I find that she is very competent, always explains clearly what she is going to do, and what I should do.

My experience with Dr. Smith was very good. Only short waits. I feel she is very thorough. I do not feel rushed. She correctly recognized a skin condition and treated it properly.

Each time I’ve seen Dr. Smith there was a LONG wait. Exam time brief and impersonal but seemed OK. Recently, I wrote the time as 1030. Upon arrival no others were waiting. Two receptionists ignored me talking and giggling about a call on hold. The third finished with a patient then advised my appointment was 1015. I explained I drove 1h15m to get there & she left to see if Dr. Smith see me. She returned & said I would have to reschedule. No thanks. No respect for her patients and not good care.

Always rushes you. VERY brusque and rude. Spends maybe 3 to 5 minutes in the room. Makes you feel like you are a burden. Her assistant is no better and told me, You know rosacea is not curable. Um, yeah. So this is how you reassure me when I am already upset about my flareup? Dr. Smith needs to remember why she got into medicine...to help people, not make money. Oh, wait. Maybe it was to make money. The more patients she rushes through, the more money she makes.

After reading these reviews I kept my appointment anyway. They're all true. Rushed, cursory inspection of skin condition and dismissed my concerns. Did feel like she had the time or concern for my issues. I guess they call that poor bedside manner. As far as the duration of the visit- 20 minute wait, actual Dr. Visit in the exam room was 5 minutes 18 seconds. I timed it after reading all these reviews just to see if they're true. It's true. Felt rushed with no real answers. Shame.

Makes patient feel as if they are a burden. Does not spend time with patient... my experience has been less than desirable. Would never recommend this practice.

I went several times and discontinued going as I walked away with the feeling that I was only a number; one of many patients in a line of "get them in and get them out" mentality. The more patients they see in a day, the more money the doctor earns. As a result, on the several occasions I went I always spent much more time with the nurse, then the doctor whisking in with a curt greeting and after a perfunctory visit, out she went. Overall, this doctor lacks good bedside manners.

very quick exam. did not engage. a previous dermatologist I used examined me with magnifying glass and was very thorough. Dr Smith was very cursory and quick. Did not even ask if I use sunscreen / prevention.

I have been a patient of Dr Smith's for a few years. I was never 100% satisfied but I also had no major concerns until this past year. I went for a second opinion and am scheduled to have a few things removed that Dr Smith seemed unwilling to remove herself. The last straw was her comment of, If your hairdresser sees anything in your scalp, make sure she tells you, so you can tell me'. I'm sorry but that's your job to check my scalp for cancerous growths, not my hairdresser's.
