Dr. Jennifer B Powell

My doctor retired 2020. First meeting and exam, my blood pressure was high. Second knowledge of this problem, but she took my prescription away that gave me the best quality of life since 2017, put me on a depro shot and walked out of the room. Fast forward to 2022 and my insurance changed, the exchange told me her office accepted it. Went to a appt signed in, got my card and Id scanned, got the shot. Medical Mutual HMO did not cover shot. Now I am stuck with a $343 bill and after 3 calls they will not assist nor discount. Got on my chart and cancelled my April annual and though my next depro last night. This morning her office called me and right out the gate why did you cancel that appointment. We can not give you the shot if not April appointment. Told her to hold up. On the phone yesterday with Mt Carmel trying to figure this out and NO BODY WANTED TO HELP. And now she calling me to yell at me? Still no discount, woman kept saying we have not way to know costs.

Dr. Powell has been very proactive in finding out about what is going on with my health. I felt like she has listened to my concerns, taken financial cost into consideration, and been incredibly helpful. I have already recommended my daughter schedule with her for ob care.

Doctor Powell is the worse “doctor” I have ever been to! Not knowledgeable what so ever. She has no idea what she is talking About. Extremely quick and so unprofessional. Bed side manner is the worse. Heard her talking about how she didn’t want to deal with my concerns. The whole staff Including the front staff and nurses who do your blood pressure were so rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there. So unprofessional. Very open and honest. Step by step with my procedure. I wont go anywhere else now till she retires! Have already recommended her to my friends and family!!

She is absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and efficient. I’m super happy with the experience my fiancé had with the whole staff. Every bit of our experience here was excellent. I could not have asked for anything else from them as they took great care of us and made us feel at ease.

I called yesterday about 10am and left a message for the nurse. According to voicemail I was to be called that day. I waited all day no call and today still no call... How professional is that?

I've only ever saw her twice due to my official Dr. (Dr. Spahn) being out of town but when I did she was great. Very professional and caring. Also the one who delivered my son (also a time my Dr was out of town) and I was very pleased with her bedside manner.
