Seriously would not recommend him to anyone I have the hardest time now over 3 years later trying new medication because of him. I told him I was concerned with the meds I was taking because I felt so lifeless that I couldn't even take care of my 2 year old daughter. He told me to just push through it and keep taking it. I can't just not take care of my kid because I'm trying a new medication. We always had to wait. Actually for quite a while. However, he is worth the wait!

Trying to get a copy of my kids records. Staff is not helpful. Refuses to answer simple questions like how many pages.

Changed my review from 1 to 5 stars. Literally have waited 3+ hours for this guy. But I’m telling you, he’s worth it. An amazing doctor. ❤️

One of the most phenomenal doctors I have ever met! He listens to his patients, really listens, and cares more about you than himself—that’s why he’s late if ever. He’ll take whatever time you need. He’s very intuitive and takes the time to listen to not only the patient, but the family members who live with the patient. Very experienced in his field, and an incredible listener. Wish I could give him negative stars. Prescribed me medication at age 14 that made me into a literal zombie. After he was made aware of this he proceeded to prescribed more, speaks for itself. Never cared enough to give me the time of day to hear how the medications were actually affecting me. On top of that prescribed medication to a disabled woman we were taking care of at the time that after the first dosage she was given at home, we ended up in the ER with her not knowing who she was and falling over every time she stood up. Can’t believe he still has his license. If you care for your loved one’s and yourself, please please please find another doctor!

I’ve seen Dr. Wilharm for over a decade and he has not only managed to continually engage with and show genuine compassion and care for my treatment, but constantly work to improve my condition and stability as I require lifelong treatment for my condition. I could not ask for a greater and more accommodating physician than Dr. Wilharm.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had to wait an hour and a half for an appointment that took literally five minutes to get through. All of his appointments are this way every single time he’s always at LEAST a little over an hour behind it’s absolutely ridiculous.

Like many others I got tired of waiting at least an hour for a 10 minute appointment. He also refused to write a script for a controlled medication I was taking even though I have always followed the rules and have been going to him for over 15 years. He truly lives up to his name, Dr. Wilharm will harm you!

Dr. Jeff Wilharm is an exceptional Mental Healthcare Provider. He easily earns 5 stars. He listens attentively, and gives encouraging suggestions to help patients figure out solutions to what a person is struggling with. The office staff is very friendly. I realize being a STELLAR doctor requires extra time and Dr. Wilharm is STELLAR. The only negative here is you wait 40+ mins. past your scheduled time to be seen. I've been a patient for more than 20 years. Finding a personable Mental Health Doctor is no easy task and Dr. W is worth waiting for. Bring a good book, the wait is less painless.

I have had experiences with Dr, Wilharm in an outpatient setting as well as inpatient. After several mental health stays in the hospital under the care of another doctor, he was assigned my case. He took me off all meds cold turkey and started me on several new ones, one that I told him I was allergic to and that very clearly was validated in my hospital chart. He over medicates. I understand doctor's have to deal with difficult situations daily and that can affect their mood, but i dont think that it should affect how you treat your patients. He is not fully knowledgable about cooccuring mental health conditons and personally tried to rediagnose me with disorders that were very clearly not the case. He does not hav a calm demeanor and I feel he purposfully tries to escalate patients and get them to their breaking point to numb them out making them less work. I feel terrible for anyone that would have to be under his care because it takes courage to reach out and he adds to the stigma

The wait is concerning...

I was a new patient today after waiting a month for a referral. I waited an hour and 15 minutes in the waiting room , asked the receptionist how much longer it was going to be and she said Dr.Wilharm had 4 people in front of me!! I was on my lunch break from work, said I could not wait any longer and wanted my $30 copay refunded. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said definitely not! I understand the previous concerns. However I’ve never experienced this with Dr Wilharm, I’ve been seeing him for over 18 years and he’s been great! Helped me through so much in my life and is very attentive.

I have seen Dr Wilharm for years and he is the best in the business. Yes you always have to wait to get in to see him but everyone on here says they wait and then spend only five minutes with him. If that were true he would not be running late. He allows one patient every 10-15 minutes, however, what gets him behind is he also sees patients at hospital before coming in and sometimes they take longer due to the fact that they are not doing well. He does the same for patients that come into his office and are doing really bad he will take the extra time with them to get them over the bad time and he would do the same for any of you. I have had other doctors over the years and with Dr Wilharm’s knowledge and experience there is no one that compares to his ability to do his job. Always an hour late to an appointment you spend 5 minutes at. I could guarantee you that he doesn't know his clients or anything about them other despite many of them seeing therapists within the same office. Absolutely awful.

This man should get negative stars. Worst experience of my life. Almost destroyed my daughter's mental well being. Would not listen to any of our concerns. Every time I had a question he acted like a jerk. He was only about prescribing medicine and not about talking with my daughter to discover what she really needed to get better. Awful, Awful. I would not recommend this man to my worst enemy. Best decision we made was leaving him and seeking help from a real professional. We ended up seeing Dr. Richa Aggarwal at the St. Luke's pediatric center. She is no longer there, but she was amazing. Plus he always made us wait and was never on time. No respect. I was under Dr. Wilharms care for 10 or more years and although wait times were usually quite long, I felt the wait worth it. He is extremely devoted and spends the necessary time with his clients. He is very professional, yet remains personable. Due to insurance change I had to seek other providers

If you have nothing else to do, make an appointment and watch a couple home improvement type shows on HGTV. Settle in, bring a coffee, and relax for an hour or two before getting to meet with a subpar psychiatrist. You may also connect with the three or four other clients waiting on Dr. Wilharm!

Don't do it, man. Don't go. He's always at least an hour late, he doesn't listen to you, he doesn't answer questions, he doesn't explain things, he doesn't acknowledge your existance unless you're at your appointment, he doesn't respond to requests for help/information/records for MONTHS, he's kinda condescending, he spends about five minutes with you and decides he knows everything about you, and he doesn't care. At all. Run. Run away. His last name's Wil-HARM for a reason.

Every time I go in, I'm in the office for less than 5 minutes. Cares about rushing not my needs. I wait 1-2 hours. I understand if he is late every once in a while but not EVERY TIME. I have been going for over 2 years now. Doesn't call back regarding medicine.

His chronic habit of being 1-2 hours late for appointments dings his grade. I understand that consultations of this type vary in time but he's not even close to being prompt.

Always always running way behind schedule , like 1-2 hours behind . Then once you get in office he is busy catching up on paperwork and doesn't make eye contact to speak with you or truly care what is going on . He then quickly rushes you out to move on to the next patient . Two times I've tried calling the office with medication issues and he doesn't get back to you ! Horrible practice , we will not be returning!!!!!!
