About Dr. Jeffrey Robert Warman
Reviews for Dr. Jeffrey Robert Warman
Short and dismissive bedside manner. Would manipulate my daughter’s knee and ask if it hurt, without even pausing between positions to understand which ones hurt. He rushed through our visits and would speed talk for 30 seconds after we would wait an hour in the waiting room. Staff would just give blank stares, they seem intimidated by Dr. Warman.
Dr. Warman was great when I took my 7 year old daughter to see him. He was knowledgeable and got straight to the point, which I really appreciated. My daughter felt at ease and Dr. Warman was efficient with our time and answered all my questions. Joshua, who wrapped my daughter’s cast was amazing. His personality is wonderful and he made my daughter laugh and smile. He did such a amazing job wrapping her cast and even made her day by giving her two different colors on her cast which we coined as the Cheshire Cat colors from Alice and Wonderland before leaving the office. If you are in need of a pediatric orthopedic surgeon I would definitely recommend Dr. Warman and his staff…even the two ladies at the front were lovely and so sweet.
I read the reviews and have to say this was not our experience. He is straight and to the point. I felt that he answered all our questions but most importantly he is an amazing surgeon that took care of our young daughter. He was kind to her as well throughout the surgery. If your looking for a friend maybe not for you but if you want a really good, experienced surgeon then he’s your guy. Thank you doctor! I read the reviews and have to say this was not our experience. MEDICAL MALPRACTICE!! My 4 year old son had a broken arm. They refused to care for him!! We had been to the ER the day prior to coming here and they had put a temporary splint on his arm. They recommended we follow up here for more imaging to make sure there was no need for surgery, and to install a plaster cast. When we arrived we were told our 4 year old would not get care if we did not wear a mask (including my 4 year old)!! Not only that but they were increasingly rude when we refused. Ultimately we were turned away because they could not get past their asinine mask rules! Thats right folks, they refused care to and endangered a 4 year old because of a damned mask!! It’s MALPRACTICE at best! A clear violation of the Hippocratic Oath!! Go to TSAOG. They were wonderful and took good care of us and worked around their mask rules for the good of our 4 year old. Helped me when Dr Richie forgot to realign my broken bones and took my cast off while my ulna and radius were still in the first stage of healing. His assistants are kind and respectful. Dr. Warman cares a lot about his patients. Just don’t mention trampolines to him and you’ll be fine.
Don’t even bother bringing your child here. We came here and first thing we were told that Dr. Jefferey does not like our mask to wear one the one they provided. Definitely the first! Second Dr. Jefferey walks into the room not even hi I’m Dr. So and so nothing. Didn’t feel welcome at all. One visit is enough not coming back!
As a first patient of Dr. Warman it was also our last. When we first called to make an appointment, we understood a mask must be worn, which we understand. The day of the appointment while in back room, we were told we must wear a certain mask as this is a requirement for Dr. Warman. What’s upsetting is that we were not told about a certain mask and there were no signs display at doctor office of certain mask must be worn. That was red flag one. Red flag two when Dr. Warman walked into the room with no introduction to child or parent and right away told child to do this and that. As a patient...especially first visit, we have to feel welcome and would like to know who is Dr. Warman. Especially working with a child you have to make the child feel welcome and inform the patient who you are and why you would be asking certain things from the patient. I’ve never seen an adult make no contact with a child just to right away inform child what to do. This was not ok

Iâve never seen an adult make no contact with a child just to right away inform child what to do. This was not ok with child or parent. As part of Dr. Warman office commitment is dedicated to providing quality pediatric orthopedic care to the children. This was not the experience we received. After reviewing our child x-rays, Dr. Warman explained I would like to see your child in three months. WOW!!!! Not even here is what your child has, or options or even guidance to what our child can or can not do. Above all we wanted more information on what is to be expected or why in regards to the follow up. By this point I just explain to Dr. Warman we would not be coming back. He said ok and walked away. Iâm thankful for the unwelcome visit and non-clear communication, because if not we would of continue to come back and learned this the hard way. What I found even more sad is that their mission is to be the leading pediatric orthopedic practice and value of every person but with their service, the office is far from it. Only positive feedback I have is the medical assistant that was kind to us while taking our son basic information. I would strongly not recommend Dr. Warman, who was more concerned about what mask we had on then introducing or communicating with his patients.
Dr. Warman did an amazing job fixing my daughters arm, she is thriving in her tumbling and hasn’t had any issues.
Horrible experience! Wait time was always an hour. No bed side manners whatsoever!!!! My daughter was always afraid to see him - We finally had enough and switched over to Dr. Magnabosco! My daughter loves her and she’s very good!!!!! Don’t waste your time seeing this man- you will be disappointed.
HORRIBLE!! I was sent to see him twice for my son and his bedside manner is the worst I’ve ever seen. Spent all of 5 minutes with us and cut me off when I was trying to explain a concern of mine. I understand if he doesn’t think what I have to say is pertinent to the situation but let me at least finish my thought and then kindly let me know I don’t need to worry about that. My wife took my son there for broken bone. He did not really look at xray or exam my son that well and was saying he would be fine in a few weeks. This doctor has the worst bed side manners we have ever experienced. He takes no time to answer questions, seems impatient and annoyed. I am shocked he works with kids, his staff makes up for some of it with their kindness. As a mother of 3 and a person who values respect for others, I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.
My daughter has had Acl repair and a dislocated ankle. Staff and all doctors were always excellent, cannot say enough about them and the great service.
My husband and I appreciate Dr. Warman and his staff immensely! We have used his services for my son’s fractured elbow and toe within one year apart. He went out of his way on a Saturday to perform emergency surgery for my son’s fractured grown plate on his left great toe. Dr. Warman is from New York (and so is my entire family) so he talks and processes questions very quickly (which I’m familiar with). Some may see it as poor bedside manner, but he truly cares about his patients while adding his “New York Minute style” of humor. We are saddened to read so many negative comments, but he is a fantastic physician and surgeon. My husband and I appreciate Dr. Warman and his staff immensely! I arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment with the door being locked. I knocked and was told to "wait your turn outside". Waiting 10 minutes they unlocked the door and was barked at to stand behind the line although I was being waved over by the front desk. My 6 month old and I waited for 55 minutes until Warman walks in and with hand on hip to "what stretches have you been doing?" He doesn't listen to my response and tells me lay my child down and he cranks on my son foot and makes him cry. He then tells me my child doesn't have to come back until he starts walking. I will not be coming back though.
Ditto to all the above comments! Both of my daughters have seen Dr. Warman for various knee and ankle injuries. He has terrible bedside manner, is rude, and impatient with the girls each time we go. The only reason I went back was because it was easier to go to an established patient visit in an emergency instead of waiting weeks- months to see a new doctor. I am not really sure why he works with pediatrics because he doesn't seem to even like kids. I had to "translate" what he wanted my kid to do during the exam because he used lingo and she was confused. He was "short" with my other daughter and she straight up told him, "I don't know what you want me to do- I thought I was doing what you asked!" You wait forever in the waiting room and in the room, he comes in briefly, does the exam and then sends in someone else to explain things. He acts like you are stupid when you ask questions. His PA is very nice and his office staff is nice, but he's not worth any more of our time.

If i can give zero ???? i would. His the worst children's doctor ever. This man cant even book surgeries . moms pls dont go here! An his super rude
Terrible experience. We waiting there 3 hours, only to talk to the doctor for less than a minute. Not over exaggerating at all. Didn’t ask any questions. Didn’t even acknowledge my two year old. For him being a pediatric doctor, he had terrible bedside manner.

Straight up, Dr. Warman can come off as brash. He's a New Yorker and if you go in knowing that, it doesn't bother you. This man is a great orthopedic surgeon. Unfortunately, with 3 boys and several broken bones between them, we've been here a number of times. The orthopedic surgeon who initially repaired my son's arm in the hospital made some major mistakes and after 7 weeks of casting, my son's bones were still broken and his arm was bent. The original orthopedist said it was "cosmetic," even though the x-ray clearly revealed that his broken bones were not aligned or even touching each other. Dr. Warman took us on, helped us understand our options, and I trust him. When it comes down to it, I'd rather have a brash, competent orthopedist than a charming incompetent one. I've been to this office several times with my son breaking his arm twice. I've read the reviews about Doctor Warman being rude. I didn't experience rudeness, he is blunt, but you call tell theres humor mixed in as well. He knew exactly what do about getting my son to heal quickly and properly. Overall the doctor is knowledgeable, the staff is friendly. There's always a kids netlfix movie playing. The walls and ceilings are decorated very nicely for children. Dr. Warman and his entire staff put my son at ease and made our visit pleasant from start to finish. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed the welcoming and positive decor and fun artwork on the walls for kids/teens. Dr. Warman did an excellent job explaining what happened and showing us the fracture on the x-rays so we could understand what was needed for my son’s recovery. He was able to find the fracture when another doctor was not able to. We couldn’t be more thankful for his expertise, or his professionalism and care. We highly recommend Dr. Warman and his practice! From the minute Doctor Warman walked in he was very rude and unconcerned about our child. This was before he even made a physical exam. I intentionally scheduled an appointment with another physician because I had seen Dr. Warman's healthgrades score. CHOSA hospital was excellent, but it's a shame that a pediatric physician had such poor bedside manner.
I agree with all reviews about. He ya always in a hurry. I had an appt for 3 of my kids so we had 3 20 minute blocks for just us. But he was in for 1 minute then out for 15 minutes. Back in for 1 , then out again. Bad bedside manner. Disappointing for sure.
I just read the previous review and it was EXACTLY my experience word for word! I am a physician in San Antonio, a fellow colleague, and he treated me the same way as the previous reviewer!! Dr. Warman was in the room for maybe a minute. He was very dismissive about answering my questions and quickly left the room. I even tried to catch him in the hall and that lead nowhere. My experience happened about a year ago. I wanted to leave a review, but being an extremely busy physician, I never had the time. My now 13yr old son probably has another wrist fracture and I am looking for another pediatric orthopaedic surgeon. I asked the urgent care center to please refer me to another physician and explained my experience with Dr. Warman. All patients should be treated with equal courtesy, but being a fellow physician, one would think he would be a little nicer!! Other than that his staff is wonderful and his PA is the best! If you ONLY see the PA you'll be much more satisfied!
Recieved Medical bills in that where submitted to my insurance for visits never made to his office. Very rude, and put on hold for forever and then got "disconnected " Will never recommend
The office staff is so disrespectful and clueless. I will never return. Also the wait time is around 40 mins plus just for dr war man to spend 2 mins with you. They have no care for others it’s all about making money
Unprofessional and rude office staff. Took my daughter who had a broken arm to another orthopedic doctor but was well worth leaving this practice. If you are looking for a orthopedic doctor in the area I suggesting going else where
If I could give less than one star I would. My daughter broke her finger during volleyball practice. I went to see Dr. Warman he took x-rays and casted her finger for one week. We went back one week after the casting. He removed the cast and said she could play volleyball that week. I asked if he was sure. He said yes. I did not believe she could so I went to another doctor. He took x-rays which showed a fracture through her growth plate and the bone was rotated. She had to have surgery to fix it. She ended up with pins and rehab to regain range of motion in her fingers. Dr. Warman completely missed the severity of her break. After that his office called and said I owed them $256. I said "Ok, lets trade. I'll pay the $256 and you pay the surgery and rehab on my daughter's hand". I never got a call back and I will never recommend him to anybody! Dr Warman spent no more than 30 seconds with us. His body language and tone made it very clear that he did not want to be in there at all. He walked out of the office before I could complete my sentence regarding a fracture near a grown plate on my 9 year old. I don't doubt that Dr. Warman is very knowledgeable and I don't expect to be pampered during an office visit, however, a respectful and courteous manner is expected. I don't recommend him. My daughter just visited Dr. Warman to be check for scoliosis. She was nervous and anxious before the exam and he was excellent with her. She got to see her X-ray, saw that she has a slight case and was ok when we left. He was quick and efficient - which I appreciated. But he was also funny with my daughter. I've been in this office 4 times and every time we wait for an hour to an hour and a half to be seen by Dr. Warman who comes in for 5 minutes or less and runs out without doing anything. My daughter is in the same condition she was over 6 months ago. Dr. Warman is so rude, so short and always treats us like we're a bother. Our appointment today was at 10 am. It is now 11:06 and he has yet to come in.
We showed up 20 mins early for paperwork and waited 45 minutes past our appointment time to be put in a room then another 45 minutes to see the physician. He was very impersonal, did not even ask my 15 year old about his injury. He didn't make eye contact to either one of us yet spoke down to us. I regret our decision to go see Dr. Warman. This doctor is the absolute worst doctor I have ever dealt with. My 9 month old daughter had an ankle fracture and our pediatrician sent us to him to get a cast. Great Staff
If you want your children to have the best Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Warman is the best San Antonio has to offer and anywhere else in my opinion. Great staff, great bedside manner, amazing with kids and the wait time was 30 minutes.
Dr. Warman is the only doctor is will use for my daughters. I love his office envirement and his bedside manner is great! We never have to wait too long. He is a very sought after doctor so I go in expecting to wait 30-45 min. at times. He takes his time with his patients and is very thorough. Highly recommended!

My daughter started seeing Dr.Warman at 3 days old to 1 year. After the last diagnosis we decided to go get a second opinion before surgery. Come to find out the very first brace he put her in made all of the hip problem she has now. He is very short dr. Does not allow questions to be asked and in and out of the room in 2-5 mins max. You wait in the waiting room and exam room for minimum of 45 mins before being seen. Would not recommend this office.
Dr. Warman is great! Easy to talk to and my child loves him! He's the best in San Antonio!
We've been all over San Antonio and couldn't get any answers until we found Dr. Warman. He has been amazing. We wouldn't recommend anyone else! Thank you, Dr. Warman for being so good to our child! You are the best of the best and your office is great! 5 STARS.
Dr. Warman was very friendly and went above and beyond to create the best treatment plan for my daughter at affordable cost. We won't trust anyone else with our daughters Pediatric Orthopedic care.
A parent's dream come true. I couldn't ask for a greater doctor!

Prepare to wait. He's not concerned with how long you have to wait or what hoops you had to jump through to get there. After the ridiculous wait (close to 2 hours) you'll be kindly rewarded with a quick, 5 to 10 minute visit before he sends you packing. Consider yourself warned.

Worst office staff ever!! His bedside manner sucks- he is more worried about getting out of the room as fast as he can. Will not be coming back!
I have taken my daughter there 4 times in the past 4 yrs, Doctor Warman is great, friendly ,welcoming, listened to my concerns and was very reassuring about her recovery. My only complaint was the billing , charged more than my Insurance allowed, but it carried over to my next two appt.
We've used Dr. Warman's office three separate times and have had great experiences with both him and his staff. Highly recommend!!
Dr Warman fixed a nasty break in my five year old sons arm without surgery like we expected. I don't need a doctor to kiss my butt, just do a good job and he far exceeded my expectations. My son loved the staff there as well. Highly recommended

Nothing to like. They have a PA there that is extremely rude, condescending to kids, and has subpar knowledge. He should not be anywhere near children! He made my kids feel scared and humiliated. Since he didn't have enough education to actually diagnose my daughter, he insinuated that she was faking. Then they charged me $400 and said "go home she is fine". This was the worst patient care I have ever seen and I work in healthcare. We waited 2 hours before being put in a room. I had appointments for my son and daughter together. Dr Warman stated that he couldn't view my daughters MRI but that she was fine, and I shouldn't worry about the mass on her leg, even though he couldn't diagnose it. When I told him I wanted a better answer he said it was a "benign lesion". How do you determine a mass is benign by looking at it ? He looked at my daughter for maybe 30 seconds. No physical exam was performed. Then instead of treating my son he left the room for 15 minutes, came back and my son got an X-ray and that was it. They tried to charge me $85 when I have a $40 copay and I was told because he had a fracture the charge was higher. You cannot charge a higher copay based on a patients diagnosis. My children (2) have seen Dr. Warman several times for various conditions over the last 3 years. He is super talkative, but is thorough and took really good care of both of my children. He was conservative in his treatment approach and did not refer for unnecessary, expensive tests that were not needed. His bills were appropriate for level of care that we received. The office staff is very nice and professional. Overall, I would recommend him to others.
I was charged an insane amoutn of money for a simple office visit in which my child was not even given a diagnosis. We were actually sent home with no indication of what is going wrong with my child and a massive $400 bill! In addition, the doctor is very cold, rude and gives no information!

My son broke his hand and we were recommended to Dr. Warmen by Fossil Creek Urgent Care. We waited 45 minutes to see the doctor, who spent maybe 5 minutes with my son before the technician came in to put his hand in a cast. The technician spent the entire time complaining about the staff telling him how to do his job, including Dr. Warmen. We were then told when we checked out that our insurance didn't cover the cost of the cast so the visit was $545. When I called BCBS, they said they do cover the cost of the cast but because the doctor's office coded it a certain way it would be applied to the deductible; basically I was outright lied to by the billing person. His office staff is pleasant but they are always late. We have been to this office at least 4 times. I had never been seen within 30 minutes of my appointment time. Most times it was 40 minutes to an hour late. This time I decided to mention my frustration to Dr. Warman. He debated it with me at first and then said that as the day goes on they tend to get more behind. He said if I wanted to be seen on time I should make the first appointment of the day. Funny thing was that two of my appointments were just that - first thing in the morning, for that very reason. At that point he argued that he is never late. I was so disappointed in his attitude that we will not return. So if your appointment is at 3pm you should expect to wait an extra 30 minutes? What kind of logic is that? Maybe they should schedule better if they know that! His office staff is pleasant but they are always late. We have been to this office at least 4 times. My daughter and I have had frustrating experiences with Dr. Warman twice now. Both visits, we waited an hour and a half to be seen, for him to come in and spend two minutes of his time with us. After only touching my daughter's injured foot, he proudly exclaimed that it was doing much better. When I told him she hasn't improved (her foot is still swollen and she's putting less pressure on it than in our last visit) he told me I wouldn't be able to see her improvement anyway because I'm with her every day. EXACTLY. I know when my daughter isn't feeling well, and it takes more than a few seconds to do a thorough exam to tell me otherwise. He was rude, arrogant, and in a hurry. He and his staff pay little attention to detail. I repeatedly corrected him and his staff on which foot was hurting her (which was very obvious if he'd even look at her);he even wrote in her chart that he put a "long arm cast" on her, when he did not (we weren't even there for her arm!), spelled her name wrong, and referred to her as a "him" several times. How much attention is this guy paying if he can't even get her gender right, much less which limb he is supposedly treating. We'll NEVER be back. This office is a joke. we made an appt for my daughter who broke her arm. My daughter has down Syndrome. The receptionist told my wife that they do not treat children with down syndrome. When we saw Dr. Warman he would NOT listen to my wife when she was explaining my daughters medical history. Because he did not listen to my wife we had to take my daughter back to the emergency room a few days later and start this ordeal over. Dr. Warman seemed put out that my daughter had special needs. This is just part of what happened because of this Dr. At this time we are finding a new orthopedic Dr. When we speak with the other Orthopedic Dr’s offices and tell them we initially saw Dr Warman, the response is such that they know about Dr Warman and have had experience with other patients who saw him. They do not say anything negative about him, but you can tell the know of him and there is something wrong. we made an appt for my daughter who broke her arm. My daughter has down Syndrome. Took my daughter to Elite Care Emergency Center for possible broken elbow. They took x-rays, but wanted me to follow up with Dr. Warman in 2 days for further review and gave me his phone number to set up an appt. Called the ONLY number they gave me which happened to be his cell phone number. He was extremely rude on the phone and demanded to know where I got this number from and that he had to stop operating on a patient to take my call. I told him that Elite Care gave me this number and that this was the only number they gave me. He then gave me the office number and pretty much hung up on me. I'm shocked at this "doctor's" so called bed-side manner and unprofessional behavior during this phone conversation. So much for a first impression and I immediately knew that I was NOT going to take my daughter to someone who just treated me that way. I spend way too much money every pay period on my medical insurance to have it get wasted on an uppity jerk like this. And I also wonder why in the world he is taking calls during operation...I know if my daughter was the one being operated on that I would not want her surgeon to be taking phone calls during the procedure no matter how important it may be - put your cell phone away or have your nurse screen calls before you take them to determine if they are truly emergencies. Dr. Warman, you just lost a patient and I will make sure everyone I know and speak to will know how you truly treat people. I did call Elite Care and inform them about the incorrect phone # they gave me and provided them the correct office # and told them that I will NOT be going to that person and that maybe they should think twice before recommending future business to that "doctor".
