Love Dr Tharp and his staff treat you like human being

Dr. Tharp is an excellent surgeon. He diagnosed by issue, offered treatment options, and we decided surgery was the best option. I'm now 2 months post Laminectomy with a L4/5 fusion and feel much better than before. I would recommend him to anyone having back issues.

Dr Tharp fused my L1-S5 got back to full health would recommend his services to anyone!!!

Never looked at my mri, my back is broke in 2 places, said I need more exercise. I'm a101 pounds bartender

Terriable Dr. Told me I had bone spurs on my spine and didnt even xray me. Then sent me on my way!!

He did a great job on my back a number of years ago. I wouldn't trust any other doctor to work on my back but him. He is straight forward with you from the start and tells you just how things will go before and after the surgery. I have a will continue to refer friends with back issues to him for help.

Dr. Tharp and University Hospital are both amazing! So many years in chronic pain and he took the time and read my MRI. I highly recommend him, life saver. Thank you Dr Tharp you are a miracle, straight forward and professional. The hospital and staff there are professional, friendly, caring and amazing.

He paid no attention to what I had to say. Did a very poor examination of the body. Then told me there is nothing he can do for me. And that I should not have surgery. But I know what surgery I need, artificial disc replacement, he just does not do it so he wasted my time.

Excellent doctor, very skilled

Dr. Tharp did work on my wife on 01/08 and me on 08/08 here its 12 years later WOW WE ARE GREAT . Say what you want she a broken back or major overhaul me slipped, bulging and torn disks WE WOULD GO BACK NO MATTER HOW FAR TO HIM AGAIN ! THAKYOU DR. THARP

Horrible bad manner and even though he had a great recommendation he would not support it so I was in able to get the allowance on Workmen’s Comp. he wanted $350 out of my own pocket just to send a report to them completely unprofessional

Its was a horrible expierence he said not one word too me ran needles over my legs said walk I did then I sat down he said nothing I can do for you and walked out told nurses he won't need to see me again I have been in pain for a year been going through back therapy. Well I decided second opinion at crystal clinic this doc listened to me and we talked he found I need surgery on. My l4 and l5 to realease the nerve I recon and never seen g this guy he is a joke in my opinion.

He performed cervical diskectomy and fusion surgery 15 years ago (2001) and my neck pain and motion is flawless and much better than expected all these years later. Recently had lumbar problem and series of injections - working great and relieved the very severe pain. Would always recommend him.

He did surgery on my lower back fracture and he did a amazing job . I can do everything I did before the wreck . He goes over everything very expertly . He is the best Spain doctor I've seen .
