Dr. Jeffrey Sternberg is a true gem, a rare find; the only expert you should go to for pilonidal disease. He is able to explain the cleft lift procedure and answer any questions you have in an impressive, adept manner. Highly skilled in his field, he was able to find three additional sinuses that I did not even know existed. Very caring as well, and was accessible outside of office hours after my surgery, even early morning. Was also very assuring; I was going to be flying 2 days post op and was panicking about the drain, but he gave me the confidence that everything was going to be okay. Only one month post op now, and I am back and running again, getting on with my life to how it was before this horrible disease. I am so grateful to Dr. Sternberg for what he has done for me. He is simply the best.

Dr. Sternberg, without question, is one the best, if not the best, doctors treating pilonidal disease. Since my freshman year of high school, I repeatedly struggled to combat pilonidal disease for years - enduring three surgeries and significant suffering, even missing my first semester of college. Dr. Sternberg is the only surgeon you should consider for treatment of pilonidal disease. He has mastered his surgical technique so that he is known all around the world to treat this dreaded disease that other surgeons can only offer short term help. Plus the recovery from his surgery is so much easier then what other surgeons offer. He is also a highly professional doctor with a very kind heart. I found Dr. Sternberg after a desperate search for an alternative to the invasive and painful procedure the surgeons at Stanford recommended for chronic pilonidal cyst and ulcers. Dr. Sternberg's cleft lift procedure requires a significantly shorter recovery period and yielded better results than previous treatments. I could not be happier with the results nor with our choice in physician. He was everything you hope for in a surgeon: talented, detail oriented, attentive and kind.

Five stars are not enough stars to accurately rate this doctor!! My son was healed by this doctor where other doctors failed! My son suffered from pilonidal disease...this doctor took the time to inform us and educate us on the condition and the expectation of the surgery. It has been 5 years since my sons surgery and he remains healed!! I still feel grateful enough to him to come back and write this review! This has been such an excellent experience from beginning to end. Most communication has been long distance since we live out of state. The staff were pleasant and answered all of my questions . Dr. Sternberg has a warm, calm and comforting manner which, along with his years of experience in pilonidal surgery and an outstanding success rate, inspires such confidence. Any post operative questions I had were answered promptly, usually by Dr. Sternberg himself. Outstanding experience so far.
