Dr. Jeffrey Bernard Starling

The office staff is trash. They rarely answer the phone, and when they do, they are condescending, uncaring, and most of the time unhelpful. I have called several times with complaints of increased pain, I am told by staff that they will let the doctor know, then days go by with no response, so I call again only to get the same “Will let the doctor know” statement! It’s doubtful that they will pass any concerns or issues you have about your health to the doctor. They will lie and say someone will call you back, but no one ever does. Then will get annoyed when you call back to follow up. Dr. Starling is a great doctor, but it’s unfortunate that his horrible staff diminishes patient care! Especially his staff member Peggy!

Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling a dozen times over the last 6 weeks. I always call around 2:30 in the afternoon and always get a message saying the office is closed for lunch or for the business day. The mailbox is full so can’t even leave a message. Office staff should be drained!

Dr Starling and his core team Carla and Peggy provide consistent outstanding care even during these difficult post Covid times all health care providers find themselves in. Dr Starling listens , is understanding and most importantly is damn good at his profession which can mean the difference between quality of life even life or death.

Dr. Starling is incredibly educated and empathetic to patients which I have found rare in the medical industry-he helped me with kidney stones through all of my pregnancies. Awesome staff & Dr. Starling is the man! Thank you to him!

Dr starling had my father as a patient kepted giving him the run arounds last year on taking out a tube used for eco he also didnt gave him medication he needed and also got an infection from the start which he had to go to his own doctor to get medicine for it to go away. he also bleed longer then should. I like this guy. Personable, and certainly seems to know what he is doing. Office staff is good too.

Dr Starling is great, however his staff is not responsive. I have left voicemails, emails , talked to front desk for surgery scheduling but they just don't respond.

My Mom has been going here for about 3 years . Dr Starling is very kind , understanding and knows his stuff . All office staff have been very friendly and Kind to my mom , Never had an issue with no one at his office.

The staff in his office is very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. My first visit, the lady at the desk had the nerve to call herself yelling at me. Jeffery, you need to hire a team of people who value their job as well as making sure your patients have a good experience when they visit your office. I have never been so disappointed in a doctor who I had trusted very much. One day I was very sick, I needed help so I called the office. I told the nurse my problem that the medication was not working. I waited all day for a call back which never happened so I had to go to Urgent Care. I was left out in the open without any consultation. I did however figure out that I might have had a different problem which was it after I went to my gynecologist. Why didn't he just sit down with me and investigate further what was the problem. I now have another doctor who has ordered some tests. Staff is great. Scheduling is easy. Usually don't have a long wait time

Dr Sterling has treated me for over ten years. He is professional, caring, and thorough. His staff unfortunately is very poor. They don't respond to inquiries in timely fashion. They don't return calls. He really needs to address that.

Dr Starling is an excellent physician, with a very warm and compassionate disposition. His office staff does him an incredible disservice by failing to act like anything close to health care professionals. They rarely return phone call requests. Getting scrips and refills called in to the pharmacy by them is like pulling teeth, without anesthetic. Twice I've had to make a 35 minute drive to his office to get them to contact my pharmacy to refill my scrips. This was after repeated fax requests from the pharmacy for authorization which were ignored, plus a couple of phone conversations where I was lied to and told that they would be sent in that very minute. The stress of doing battle with an apathetic and dishonest staff has led me to seek another urologist. I no longer will subject myself to that irritation. It goes without saying that Dr. Starling is excellent - very knowledgeable and willing to discuss. I am surprised by some of the negative remarks about staff though. I found them to be friendly, helpful and with great bedside manner. I am a nervous patient and they did everything they could to take the edge off.

Great Dr.and one of the best experiences I have ever had because I was in and out with no problems. The Dr. was extremely knowledgeable and I truly trust him with myself and my wife because he has saved her life on multiple occasions with emergency surgeries. Dr Starling is the most compassionate Dr I have ever met. He’s very attentive and takes his time. Every procedure I have gotten has fixed my issues and I’m eternally grateful that I chose him!!! His staff is amazing especially Carla. Superman is the best!!!!

Horrible, I arrived to a locked door, apparently the staff is on lunch till 1 when my appointment was scheduled. Once inside, appointment was not on the books. Because the appointment was not on the books they had not pulled medical records. After looking up my primary physicians number to give to the receptionist she asked me to "due my part" and try calling for the records myself. After a half hour wait I was brought to the back and asked to give a urine sample. I was there for something that had no relevance to a urine sample. When I enquired why this was necessary I was told they like to take samples and that it was required. . . "I had to". At this point I left the building. If my experience from the locked door to reception to an attempted urine sample is an reflection on this doctor or his practice I would avoid them at all costs.

I love Dr. Starling. He has the best bedside manner. He took time to explain to me in detail what was going on with me. He even drew pictures on the table paper and gave it to me. I would send all my family and friends to him. GREAT DOCTOR!!!!!

Horrible experience and incompetent. My mom had an-appointment and is always something with the fax, referrals or WE didn't called in. The office staff is horrible.

Like Dr. Starling as a person with a great personality but his office not only is terrible but have blatantly lied to me on something of importance.

Dr office has lot of rusty equipment when we were at his office late 2015- early 2016. That was shocking to us. We went back to have a CT Scan explained and Dr Starling explained that his findings were exactly as the CT Scan and not to worry but my husband could have a Cysto done by him under full anesthesia. We dealt with wrong code/billing and my husband passed away from bladder cancer. I would give zero stars if I could. Go elsewhere.

He is awesome he takes so much time and talks to you he's just great what can I say five stars

Kind, compassionate, and an incredible bedside manner. He takes the time to listen and answer all your questions. Dr. Starling sets the bar high, and all doctors I will ever see are compared to this man. Dr. Starling literally saved my life, repairing a botched surgery performed by another doctor. Doc Starling was there first thing in the morning EVERY SINGLE DAY of my 21 day stay in the hospital. I would travel from anywhere for his expertise. 10 stars on a 5 Star scale.

Amazing Doctor. He knows his stuff and is very thorough. He is one of the few docs I have found that takes the time to answer questions. It is a busy office but it is worth the wait.

I have been to numerous urologist my whole life being misdiagnosed. Within 5 minutes of being in the room with Dr starling he knew what was wrong and how to fix it. Just needed a procedure to confirm. Once the surgery took place it was confirmed and I have been placed on the proper regiment and although the disease is incurable, to not only be validated something is wrong but to have a doctor care so much and get on the right meds is worth more than money. He is very knowledgeable in interstitial cystitis (ic) which is hard to find. I have been going to Dr Starling for more than 6 years and I wouldn't trust anyone else. A lot of the original staff has retired which left a few bumps in the road, but I just went recently and his nurses and staff are very sweet and we're very helpful. Jeff starling was my urologist for over 5 years. He takes time to sit with each patient to understand everything that is going on which sometimes makes the next patient have to wait a few minutes but for a good reason because he is a thorough doctor.on multiple occasions I was hospitalized for various ailments including chronic kidney and uranary problems. Jeff saw me in the hospital and made sure I was doing ok and if one of the other physicians was trying to release not have covered all aspects of my issues he would make it clear that that was unacceptable. I would rather trust my ailment to a doctor who is there to take care of their patient and takes the time to deal with them then someone who rushs you through. I found no one in this area I would rather trust. My husband had a procedure scheduled for 4:30 was told to take a valium 30 minutes prior, get there and they take him right back and over an hour later he hadn't even been seen to be prepped and still had 2 patients ahead of him. No one was talking to me to let me know anything at all that is going on. Finally, my husband told them he would need to reschedule. When I made the comment about it being over an hour past scheduled time the nurse who was extremely rude told me they have no way of knowing exactly what time it will be, that should be explained when scheduling the appointment. She continued to be extremely rudee and talk over me to the point that we will find a different Dr to go to. Though my husband liked the Dr I will not have myself or my family talked to in such a way by a staff member when we are expressing our feelings and concerns as the patient. How can you tell someone to take something for a procedure 30 minutes prior when you don't even know how long it's going to be before the procedure is done? Why schedule an appointment if you claim it has to be the last one and have a few others that have to be done first? And it is also concerning to have in office procedures and you don't know how long they will take to properly schedule appointments. I understand things happen and can put things behind but over an hour and don't even communicate what is going on with the patient or their spouse!?!?! The doctor is nice but his staff is terrible. If you manage to get someone to answer the phone, good luck. Getting someone to call you back is slim. When you do speak to someone they are rude. Specifically the younger staff are simply mean spirited at times. I will be looking for another doctor!

In every day a little rain must fall somewhere. Going to the doctors today we have both good and not so good experiences; doctors are only human. My brother went to ER with a UTI and stayed in the hospital for eleven days. The best experience he had was with to meet Dr. Starling. Weeks later, Dr. Starling performed a TURP on him; the operation went well but the recovery was necessarily painful. This is the best urologist in the area it sad that I moved and can no longer go here. Dr Starling totally cares about his patients both in the hospital and in the office. He has great attention to detail about everything going on with his patients. This man always took care of me and I was not an easy patient.

Dr. Starling save my life. Was seen to ER thank God Dr. Starling was there that night. Found out I had cancer for the kidney. Will spend all the time you need him to for you to understand what is going on with your condition. GREAT DR.

The worst. Staff is slow, lazy, and not smart enough to do the job. Dr. was about an hour late to my first visit .

Dr. Starling is an excellent urologist. I was admitted to the hospital last year for IC and kidney stones. I was blessed to have Dr. Starling treat me. He conferred with my PCP and was wonderful in his bedside manor. I would recommend Dr. Starling to my family and loved ones for treatment.

Very professional and personable.

We scheduled for a Wellness check and it was confirmed by our health care provider that this office was approved. The office confirmed the appointment and again we verified that a wellness check was going to be performed. At the time of the appointment we verified again due to a previous error in billing at a different office. Once we got the bill it was WRONGLY coded and the office now claims not to perform wellness checks. There are more reviews about wrong billing and we feel scammed!
