Dr. Jeffrey Mark Silver

Dr Silver took care of me when nobody else would. He came to see me on his day off. My operation was a huge success and I owe him my life. Thank you, Dr Silver!

I don't know exactly why, But Dr. Silver performed my bypass surgery and in 4 months it failed. Both of the bypass grafts occluded and I could have easily died. Dr. Silver or any of his PAs never contacted me or offered any explanation whatsoever. I thought I deserved that much. It's a very grueling and difficult experience and recovery and I got no benefit at all, in fact I got AFIB, a dangerous and potentially lethal side affect. Dr. Silver is our angel. He did an unscheduled test for mom before surgery and found a tumor. We trusted his knowledge and professionalism and put our mom in his hands. Today she is doing better and in rehab. With God by his side he saved my mom's life. Thank you Dr. Silver. God bless you always.

I would not recommend him at all. Very rude and arrogant. And he works at Ressurection Hospital- enough said.

I would highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented and always puts his patients first. He made us very comfortable in a hard situation. Love this doctor

Amazing surgeon! Dropped everything in an emergency situation for me - saved my life. Follow up has been just as good - he is a no-nonsense - tells it like it is guy who is very busy but always makes time!

Dr. Silver performed 5 bypasses on my father, who is himself a surgeon, and hand-picked Dr. Silver. My father recovered beautifully. Dr. Silver is an incredible surgeon. I would trust him with my life.

I live in the Norwood Park neighborhood and have used Resurrection Hospital my whole life. How anyone can give Dr Silver 1 star is beyond me. Dr Silver has worked at Resurrection for over 15 years and has operated on me, my family and my friends. He has saved hundreds of lives in this neighborhood! He is kind, patient and always explains things so we can understand. We love his sense of humor and the way he makes us feel calm during difficult times. He is the best!!

Its funny that this doctor claims to treat his patients like family. I guess if that's the case he is also a jerk to his family. It's also apparent he thinks he is god. Made me thank him for prescribing me painkillers that I needed because I had a chest tube. And when I asked him for help regarding a recommendation of a doctor familiar with my condition, he flat out said no, what you have is rare. He among his team of cardiac specialists are the reason Ressurection has such a bad reputation.

I saw him while being hospitalized. His arrogance and attitude were disturbing. As well as his lack of disregard in wanting to help refer me to a specialist that might know more about my condition. He was very dismissive and rude. There is no excuse for that behavior. Looks like it's time to retire Jeff.
