My father who is veteran was referred by VA to see Dr Shea since it is distance to the nearest location who has Pulmonologist. VA called and verified that Dr. Shea office would accept VA payment. Upon arrival to office the front desk clerk told my father we do not take VA referral then said his Insurance would not cover him to be there. He contacted me since I am fluent in this Healthcare business and I instructed him to get on phone with Insurance in front of them and have it clarified so it would not be a wasted trip. Insurance was verified and yes they would cover. Dr Shea is a wonderful Physician and he is what brings patients to return to him but the front desk clerk and business managers are down right uncaring and hateful. After my father seen Dr. Shea that front desk woman made my father so upset over a pulmonary function test that Dr. Shea had ordered and acted like they could care less about these older patients. I believe if you hate your job so much both those women need to move on because u are giving a bad vibe to others to see a good physician since you are down right hateful. Oh I don’t want to leave this out. My father called VA after he got back home and told them what happened. VA called back over there and tried to talk to those two women and then called my father back telling him those two are not very nice.
